Happy New Year to all our readers. The Church bells tolled for the last time in 2012 on December  31st in many Churches around the world during Masses and Church services to thank God for the blessings of 2012 and to usher in 2013. In the main Church in the Archdiocese of Bamenda, which is the St. Joseph’s Metropolitan Cathedral, Bamenda, the Vigil Mass was said by His Lordship Agapitus Nfon, with concelebrants as the Chancellor of the Archdiocese, Rev. Father Michael Bibi, Rev. Fr Alain Cyrille. Rev.Fr. Stanley Njobara. The message was that of reconciliation, love and peace.  He called on all the people of God to live lives of thanksgiving and thank God even when we fail or are sick.  He said sometimes things happen to us to bring us closer to God.
In another Church, theParish priest, Rev. Father Raphael Aletum dwelt on the Holy Father’s message to the people of God all over the world. The Holy Father, he said stressed peace; that we should be peacemakers wherever we find ourselves.
At Radio Evangelium we were inundated by calls from listeners wishing happy new year to all their loved ones.
