In today’s world, it is not easy to succeed. No one folds his or arms and sits and succeeds. You have to work hard to succeed. This is the message that we would like to send out to all young people as we celebrate International Labour Day this year. A great writer says “No dream comes true until you wake up and go to work.” I agree with him. I also find the man right who says “If you want a place in the sun, you will have to expect some blisters.” This is true. ‘No man has yet climbed the ladder of success with his hands in his pocket.” Many young people want to succeed the easy way without working. It does not work this way. Easy come easy go. Success that comes easily when you have not worked for it is also easy to vanish. It may even come with problems. Therefore, let all of us develop love for work and try to work as hard as we can. I laughed when I read that ‘even when opportunity knocks, a man still has to get off his feet and open the door.’ Yet, it is true. The place of hard work can therefore not be argued. However, hard work is not all that counts. God must be brought into your work for it to bring success that endures. Working all on your own will not help you. It is only when we bring God into what we are doing that we can be certain to reap maximum fruits from our efforts.
