Many people miss their blessings in life because they are not patient enough to wait so that what they want may come. They are too much in a hurry. They go too fast or they take off before what they want comes; and when it does come, it does not find them. The following poem tells us to be patent. The patient dog eats the fattest bone. It is titled Be patient.
Be patient!
What a big lesson I have learned!
That patience is good to have.
It hardly hurts to wait.
Be Patient
If there’s something that you want,
And the results are slow to come,
It’s often good to sit and wait.
Give time a chance to play its part.
Many also win who sit and wait.
Not all the times is the race for the swift;
Many a time, slow and steady wins the race.
As we used to say
The patient dog eats the fattest bone.
I totally agree, patience is a virtue you cannot find often any more in our busy rushed world. Luckily that is one thing I am known for, my patience and I am proud of it!
Great Ute. I know you will pass this virtue of patience on to many people who are so much in a hurry they often leave before the angels arrive. Wish you the best. Meet you soon.
Quite encouraging indeed; considering that as human one must undergo trials, temptations, tough times, etc all in a bid to strengthen one. Thus, all these and more should be watered with patience and endurance as Dr. Ngobs rightly prescribes above.
I agree with everything you say.
So true!
Thank you, Viva.
Thanks you for following alphabetstory. I like your ideas about reaching your goal. Thank you.
Great!
The patient dog eats the fattest bone truly, but sometimes as human beings the patience becomes inelastic and the patient dog might not even meet a bone to eat.
The dog must watch out not to become too patient. As one singer says, ‘Patience has its limits.’ We must know when to be patient and when to lose our patience.
