The key to the hearts of others

Let us learn from each other.

Someone has told me it is possible to win a place in the hearts of others. He said there is a door that opens to the hearts of others; and a key that opens that door.

He did not reveal that key to me. He said if I racked my brains I would know; or I could simply ask anybody around me.

Well, I went for the second option to ask you.

Would you please, tell me what to do to win a place in the hearts of fellow humans. What is the key or secret?

  1. I think the key is in our own heart. I think we have to stop trying to win places in others hearts and focus on what we have. Unlock our own hearts and leave the door wide open, and let others make our hearts their home. After all, how can we expect anyone else to let us in if we are blocking anything out?

  2. Love them unconditionally. That is not easy for us as human beings because of the conditioning we have gone through in society to judge but if one can remove such judgement and love in a way that loves all part of man; poor choices, weaknesses, imperfections and even the strengths he/she may have beyond what you have –perhaps you may win the his/her heart. But, then again that would depend on the individual because they must allow you to love them as well. To allow someone to love us fully, we must be able to love ourselves first.

  3. I think to win a heart… A strangers heart, then I would say, be yourself and be trustworthy to them and when you show your trust they will trust you back and when that happen you will become friends and when you become friends you love and care each other 🙂

  4. I learned a valuable lesson when my puppy broke his leg and i had to take care of him. I found myself loving him more. So perhaps the key (on of them) to the hearts of others is to take care of them. 😉

  5. Yes, love is the key. Remember what 1 John 4:16 says…

We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

And of course God is the key to everything!
