Don’t leap blindly

Your look electrified me
When first I set eyes on you;
My heart almost missed a beat,
As I could hear it pound hard;
I found myself gazing at you
As if I had been charmed;
No guy have I seen all my life
More handsome than you;
It looks it will be nice
If you become mine for ever;
But, is this enough,
To fall headlong?
What did my parents tell me?
To look before I leap;
For the road to hell
Is beautifully paved;
This is what I will do;
Give me time;
I will look before I leap.
