What do you see in others?

What you see in others is very important. Do you see good or evil in others? Do you see enemies or friends in others? Do you see good work or bad work in others?

What you see in others is what you have in yourself. If you see others as good, you are good. If you see others as evil, you are evil.

It is thus important for you to cultivate the habit of seeing good in others. It may be hard but you must try. If you see somebody, do not tell yourself the evil things you find in them, tell yourself the good things you see in them.

As you go about life today, try as much as you can to see good in others. See others as friends not enemies. See others as people whom God has put on your path for your good and not to work against you.

Of course, there might be people who will be out to stand on your way; to pull you down, to hurt you. Know that and be prudent how you deal with them but still focus on the good in them rather than on the evil.

  1. Good words. I find that paying attention to what annoys or angers me in others can be a painfully efficient way of looking at myself in the mirror–not at them.
