Top of the Elevenses/Brunch #119&120

Aristotle was Alexander the Great’s teacher, the former made such an impression on the latter, that Alexander gave him a peach tree and from this single one has all the peach trees in Thessaloniki been cultivated.  It’s amazing the facts you one finds out from watching a cookery cum travel programme on Greece.  Rick Stein’s Long Weekend programme gave me two interesting quotes and since I know you are all fond quotes I am sharing.

“I am indebted to my father for living and to my teacher for living well.”    – Alexander the Great.

“The roots of education are bitter and the fruits are sweet.”      -Aristotle.
