No dirt, no grime, no mess.
A clean house.
Everything is neat and in its place.
But how I miss
Those cluttered tables
Broken crayons, books, clothes all strewn around
Walls smeared all red and blue
And all the mess you create.
A clean home I have, by all chance
But without you
All the life is gone.
Emptiness fills every chasm of my soul
No more filthy dirty muddied shoes
Floor is swept, no trace of dirt,
Only an empty space.
A solemn reminder
Of life that was you.
My brain was forever laced with a chase
Finding everything that you misplaced at a fast pace.
Now I retrace the mess
I see a clean house.
It’s graceful, all mess has been erased.
But a face that I search
Doesn’t show up as I embrace
The fact my darlings that I miss you.
