The Eagle

The eagle’s place
Is above the clouds, chasing
The winds far and beyond
Beyond the horizons
Into the vast open skies…
Like a phoenix, it will rise
To capture the skies
To capture the skies.
Circling the mountains high
Ne’er knowing the reason why
Claws ever ready to grab branch or prey,
The call of the eagle loud crisp
The sound of it is a joy to hear.
The great eagle soars, flying above my head
To capture the skies
To capture the skies.
Soaring above the trident peak
Over the Himalayas white; it flies
Flies high, with fire in its eyes,
Above the purple dawn,
Blood on its talons, wings so wide,
Broken feathers, swift by nature, born for flight,
To capture the skies
To capture the skies.
