There are people who can give anything to have money. They are risking their lives and risking the lives of others just to get rich. There are people who kill others because of money. Is money the most precious thing in life? Why is it so valued by some people?
There are people who do not value money. Not that they think money is not useful but that they would not risk their lives or any other person’s life because of money. They know and acknowledge its importance; but it is not the most important thing in life. Without it people still live and live well.
Many people consider eternal life to be more important than money. To them it is useless swimming in wealth in this world but ending in eternal damnation. Hence, the spend their time and energy working for their place in eternity.
There is a school of thought that the so many problems that rock the world can be traced to money. People are fighting to take control of the world’s resources. Even those who have still fight to get more. They want to have as much as they can and do not care that some people are wallowing in poverty.
My question is: is there anything that can be done so that we humans give less value to money and more value to values like love, togetherness, unity, peace, understanding, etc so that the world can become a better place for all? Can we not stop fighting and fighting and fighting?
