Cleansing my memories, my spirit is born again.
When two go walking arm and arm, nothing is impossible. We’re clinched with God at the helm. Like birds of a feather, united forever, nothing compares to this kind of love. I sit here with the dawn – she’s come to have coffee with me. It’s a crispness that only God shows on such a reverent morning.
Feeling so blessed, I know you and I have risen from the depths of hell. Trying to paint a vision where our grass will be eternally green; roses will line our walkways as we serenade one another, holding each other’s hand.
Inner peace comes from knowing that circumstances are temporary and that God is sovereign over all (Isaiah 46:9–11).
The morning breaks and you arrive wearing a smile. God has anointed your past night and now my angel stands before me. Life is perfect. Broken clouds, clear as a bell, cool and crisp, we enjoy a day off. Nothing aches and now, of course, your company makes my life all that more worthwhile.
When the “God of all peace” comes to live inside a believing heart (1 Corinthians 6:19), He begins to produce His own characteristics in that life.
So our day is planned. First a prayer as God’s listening to see if we care. Holding hands, we are off to greet the day. But first church…. it’s Sunday you know.
Trials aside, we smile at each other, giving God the glory that he has, somehow, brought us back together. Protecting us from the evils of life, we now, arm-in-arm, fight the battles of endurance. The clouds part and the sky’s the limit. God has blessed our morning together. Enjoying His word, we listen to a minister in New Zealand. I have somehow touched his spirit. Feeling blessed, I get the message – God anoints the giving. I concur….
At peace with myself, my boat sits quietly. Life has brought me calmer seas. The storms and floods that breached my heart recedes. It allows His sunlight to nurture my life again. Like a shiny magnolia leaf reflecting the light, I too want to live by example.
God, grant me the serenity. After all these years, horizons look brighter. Cleansing my memories, my spirit is born again. Life looks so much better, thank God!
Peace comes from exercising faith in the character of God and His Word. .
