I thank Him for what he has sent me.
So, I sit by the window… it’s open a bit. I listen to the rain as the gorgeous afternoon has turned to showers. Deep in thought, I think about love…. reminded by the sound of rain as it pitter patters on the metal roof. Drawn to the sound like the oceans surf, I listen to the rhythm, as rain calms the fragile spirit. My God! I have finally found the fearless fragments they call love. Yes, I’ve heard the term in numerous terminologies as well as displayed in different sequences of events, but, nothing, sounds like love as it does when God waters his flowers. So, I sit and enjoy the effervescence.
Saying, ” I Do”, one time too many, makes me realize the face value of the thing called “love”. Buying my way, inflation has crippled and living in mere existence becomes a chore. But, as though God has reigned over me, about to give up, and saving my serenity with a stroke of His awesome power, I feel the sprinkles as it begins to rain. My heart fills like a rain gauge on the porch railing. Again, in the eleventh hour, neither of us would ever expect.
Knowing God has delivered me and is using me to prove a point, I never thought in my wildest imagination that one week – thirty odd years ago – would be reincarnated. Showered with love from God above, I feel now what I’ve never defined.
Lightning strikes and the lights go out. I’m moving away from the opened window. Curious, though, God has spoken. I listen to his message.
It’s night now and the day is a memory full of adventure and meaningful moments. Love, the art of giving, I yawn and listen to the rain, as God waters his flowers. I thank Him for what he has sent me. As for me, my rain gauge spilleth over. Exuberance reigns like a thunder shower for only God knows what we need. Feeling so blessed!
