My heart knows little peace as life has isolated the nucleus of my being.
Before the first light, I listen to the geese flying high above me as they cackle amongst themselves. It’s time to embark as instincts dictate. I watch the gracefulness as they line up in formation, knowing only one will lead the charge. But it seems too early for them to relocate. The waters still warm, the summer winds are still adrift from the south. Though I, too, can see the turbulence in the clouds, shades of white and gray are mixed in with a little brown. I guess the geese know more me.
I pray for protection as I am isolated… the gods are many, moving their constellations but I pray to mine to ordain my decisions. Though the roads are mapped from West to East, veins pulsate the flow of travel. I ponder what God knows…like geese that start their journey in the dead of the heat. Feeling alone though, the world is mine to take. Be quested, I reach for the skies.
Isolated from the elements, the jungle threatens. I fear the evil that lurks in the shadows. Maybe the geese are right, after all. The queen bee has her own domain away from the workers. She, too, is kept in isolation though her sting is much more septic. She lures the innocent.
Though I restrain from dissertation, there’s little joy in isolation. But I too, wait upon His words informing my soul the contradiction. My heart knows little peace as life has isolated the nucleus of my being. Now I wait for God’s instructions.
Imprisoned in the confines of my spirit, the heart pales. Trapped, I wander as though the jungle invites me. Afraid of the wild and secluded in my habitat, my comfort zone lures my soul. But I too must lead the charge for as God has commanded, I follow his word to lead the flock.
Like the geese in formation, aerodynamically, nothing is impossible if we all join together as one. Isolated, we come together in the name of our Lord. Like geese, we gather together forming a perfect pattern. After all, birds of a feather flock together! Our force is in numbers!
Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. (1 Corinthians 12:27)
Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment. (Proverbs 18:1)
