If you pursue the gift God has given you, He will ensure that it becomes successful.
On a sunny morning in August, a young skipper pacing the docks patiently waits. An escorted entourage appears on the pier; the young man kneels and takes a hand. Kissing her hand, she looks at him and a tear falls on his cheek. “Fear not my lady I shall return.” Shaking her head she replies, ” I bid you safe travels. With a king’s ransom, I pray for you. So away with you,” he hears. The lines are chopped and the tiny fleet of three heads not south, but west, into the sun. Was the earth flat? They’ll find out!

Working in his shop, the candle oil burns to the wick night after night. The phone rings. “Thomas, can you come here please?”….. No longer in the dark, finally, the filament glows. Living in the dark was a thing of past.

As the auto engineering race headed onward, another sat quietly in his attorney’s office. He had drawn up the way we contain our leftovers. My dear old granddad designed the screw top lid!

An illustrator dabbled in charcoal when he wasn’t busy. Now retired from a local hometown paper that started his career, he sketches for Boy’s Life.

What a beautiful morning to just open up a window and sash! Thank you to the first woman to be awarded a U.S. Patent. She lets us have fresh air in our homes.

Who would of thought a man could stand on the bow of a boat and write a poem of what he saw? Four years later, his brother, John Alfred, (who by the way gets no credit) took an Englishman’s music and applied it to his poem. And to this day we sing it at every event.

There’s many others….the Jobs, Gates and even Zuckerberg. One person can change the world!
The stories untold….. “for God so loved the earth that He gave His only begotten son, Jesus Christ to change the world….” Indeed, God sends one person at a time to alter our way of life. Let us not forget it is God that blesses them with their creativity. So, don’t we all have a chance to change the world?? I think so….
With tired and heavy eyes, I owe my life for the gift I received from God above. Committed like Moses to do God’s work, we all have venues where God’s mission in our lives plays a part. If you pursue the gift God has given you, He will ensure that it becomes successful. What an awesome guarantee!!
I pray tonight for us all to become what God wants….to make a difference – one by one. Make a spot in your world or someone else’s today!
