Your Emotions Are Contagious

In your quest for success in life, a formidable power you can develop is enthusiasm. The Cambridge dictionary defines enthusiasm as “A feeling of energetic interest in a particular subject or activity and an eagerness to be involved in it.” Enthusiasm is a building block in your processes to attaining success in life. Winston Churchill adds that “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” No matter how hard and for how long obstacles knock you down, your levels of enthusiasm should remain at an all-time high such that you wade through such obstacles as they come.

Your levels of enthusiasm will remain high once you fully understand that the more excited you are about accomplishing something that is important to you, the more excited others will be about helping you to do it. The fact is that emotions such as enthusiasm are contagious. The more passion you have for your life and your activities, the more charisma you will possess, and the more cooperation you will gain from others. Every great man or woman has been totally committed to a noble cause and, as a result, has attracted the support and encouragement of others in many cases, thousands or millions of others.

Talking about building strong emotions, ― Seymour Simon says “I’m more interested in arousing enthusiasm in kids than in teaching the facts. The facts may change, but that enthusiasm for exploring the world will remain with them the rest of their lives.”  Notice here that enthusiasm once developed remains for life. It gets contagious and starts affecting others, it re-affects you from others and thus, keeps the flame alight in you even at times when the winds of negativity would have put it out.

It is your responsibility then to watch your emotions and to promote just those that bring returns on your efforts to rise to the top and to live a harmoniously good life.
