Mixed Emotions

Let us recognize our emotions and bring them to God.

Mixed Emotions 2

The sun peeks through the ominous morning, lending itself to review the past. With no regrets, life though, has no reverse. It is a bowl of mixed emotions. Turning my back to the bone chilling cold, I can only look forward to a new budding season. I wait for the first vase of cut flowers to pierce the now frozen tundra. Mesmerized, the windsock reminds me of happier times and the sad turmoil of this last year…. a very rocky beginning, just ten months ago, but only God renews our spirits. Now looking out over the frozen sanctuary, I give Him all the glory a mustard’s seed, worth of warmth, can muster.

Ordained in my Father’s warmth, love has driven me like a ship at sea in uncharted waters. So, I look back where God protected His spirit in me, never wanting me to lose faith. I see it so clearly now. With two living in holy matrimony on just one income, believe me–the Bible is correct! God protects his creatures at all ends of the spectrum. My soul reminds me of homemade chicken soup, bubbling over with joy. He keeps my spirit filled with miracles from above. Remembering where I was this time a year ago, saddled in prosperity, I thought everything was fine… but God knew differently. I was blinded from truths but my Heavenly Father still protected me from the evilness.

1 Peter 5: 6-8
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion….

How grateful could a person be that God would separate the thunderstorms for a safe passage? Words just cannot explain the true meaning of my gratefulness! It’s only God’s spirit that I give thanks to for the true love I’m anointed with now. So the sun rises in a dreary glare, but the palm trees sway in the summer air. The sand soothes our soiled souls that come together to be God’s chosen people. We all are one in our walk with Him.

Let us recognize our emotions and bring them to God. Submit your hearts to Him and allow Him to do His work in your actions. God will simply comfort us, reassure us, and remind us we need not fear. Sometimes, He may prompt us to forgive or to ask for forgiveness. But seek Him and share more of your heart through prayer.
