I Am a Refugee in My Own Land

I live in a tent
I stand in line for free food
I endure humiliation and despisal of affluent locals
Utterly hemmed in by legal limitations
Unprotected by any lock or bolt
I sleep in fear of the crazed
Frustrated violence
Of the millions
Millions
My fellow refugees
