Bless WordPress!

I love, I love, I love my work!
I’m so in love with what I do
Collecting wisdoms everywhere
And writing them to you

This work that I’ve considered worth
So much sacrifice
Now looking back I’d choose again
Not thinking of it twice

Who would not wish to read the holy
Texts both simple and complex
Writ by such loving souls — advice
For all which might their brethren vex —

Words of support, encouragement
Enablement compassion through
Self-affirmation, insight, joy —
And radiate them back to you?

I work a hundred hours a day
There’s little else I care to do
But sit my bedroll at the foot
Passing under my review

The quotes of the philosophers
The knowledge we are not alone
The point by point advise
Spiritual skillsets to hone

The sympathy, the understanding
Wise, hip mama sistas of
The calmly stated bass support
Masculine friends we women of

The already successful
Who have blazed our path before
Reaching back with pointers:
Those traps claim no seekers more

Folks who give up their TV
Their times of ordinary fun
To see this dawning Consciousness’s
New reign well and sure begun

Have given up as well — as clearly so it may be seen
By the works’ sterling qualities —
Whatever stars they might have been
By just forgetting war, disease

Injustice, indigency, harm
Starvation, ignorance and want
The violent oppression
Which our modern cultures haunt

And used the hours and days and years —
Each extra bit of energy
Which all those posts add up to
Reaching out to you and me

Just brown-nosing the boss
Instead; just schmoozing with the crowd
Being careful not to say anything
Too convincing or too loud

And those as well whom fickle
Fortune hath seen fit with much to bless
Yet turn with their encouragement
Own struggles to the rest confess

In this short time the honor I
Have had to work until I drop —
Until the failing body
Force the mind to make a stop

Simply sagging sideways into
Slumber’s brief relief
As simply sitting up again
Minister to belief —

I’ve made the most amazing friends
It’s been my honor e’er to know
A blessing from these lofty souls
Causes Light begin to flow

Encouragement be near at hand
Despair be held at bay
Don’t ever tell me you can’t
Make the best of friends this way

And yes before you ask
As you’ve been recent scripted to
These are indeed the ones
Who will be up at three am with you

When I return an outing from
It is with sweetness I complete
The object of that errand’s run
And glad take my accustomed seat

Until three months ago
Impossible this work for me —
And who can ever tell
What changes three months more might see?

I dedicate remaining life —
Remaining rests on heaven’s whim —
How passionately ’tis I seek
To carpe every swift diem!

From all of us, your users
I wish to say WordPress to:
For this wonderful cosmic
Opportunity, thank you

A poet is the strangest sort of soul
You in this life may e'er expect to meet
More broken even while more truly whole,
Innocently intending well, more sweet

Than any but a five year old should be
Unfit to meet a callused world's demand
Or to behave aught expediently
All grace in flight; an albatross on land

Do not the all too common error make
Do not fall into the too easy trap
Avoid the fatal egoic mistake
Imagining that poet be a sap

Powerful spirits classic and antique
Give voice when poets ope their mouths to speak
