Fear of Truth (Reprise)

What is the problem that our leaders see
When all the free world it for granted takes
And obviously Net neutrality
Sense with our national mandate well makes?

‘Twas why we firstly came from England here
Or so all of our history books teach
That free from fee and likewise free of fear
Each one of us may exercise free speech

But let a platform materialize
Actually delivers on that word
Suddenly to allow it were unwise
Nor let the truly common man be heard

There would not be reluctance, nay, forsooth
Did some have little need to fear the truth

A poet is the strangest sort of soul
You in this life may e'er expect to meet
More broken even while more truly whole,
Innocently intending well, more sweet

Than any but a five year old should be
Unfit to meet a callused world's demand
Or to behave aught expediently
All grace in flight; an albatross on land

Do not the all too common error make
Do not fall into the too easy trap
Avoid the fatal egoic mistake
Imagining that poet be a sap

Powerful spirits classic and antique
Give voice when poets ope their mouths to speak
