I will wait…

My bible verse for today is Micah 7:7 “But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” I love this because yes, I will wait until I turn to dust. The idea that something even greater can happen to or for me each day keeps me going.

At first I understood this to mean I should pray and sit and watch things happen. This is a common idea we have actually. Yes, God is the only executor, but when we pray and then sit, which actions should he execute?

This verse means, according to my understanding that, with all the gloom that is settling over the earth, I will wait upon the God of my salvation. With all the darkness surrounding us, I will turn my face towards the sun so that the shadows can fall behind me.

I felt like sharing this because I think it is time for us to accept that we have lost the world to evil. We do not however have to lose ourselves along with it. Wait upon your God. When under trials, we should look continually to our Divine Redeemer, that we may have strength and grace to trust in him, and to be examples to those around us. We can literally not achieve anything without him.

He is the ultimate place I go to for my inspiration…(someone asked me where I get ideas from)

Notice how the verse is personalized? It says “I” will wait. Sometimes we need to leave the group prayers and declare our faith individually. Start today. Start simple; wait on Him who has only the best laid plans for you.

Let’s go!
