         I never expected to visit Mt. Pinatubo until I saw one of my friend’s pictures she posted on Facebook. With the help of another friend who is currently pregnant, we decided to DIY the trip. It was initially me and her husband who wanted to trek, but I decided to invite some of my friends to come as well. And yes, I ended up lugging four of my friends with me while she and her husband decided not to go.

         Mt. Pinatubo, an active volcano, is found in Sta. Juliana, Botolan in Zambales. The easiest route to get there is to take a jeepney to Capas, Tarlac. You can get off at the public market in Capas and take another jeepney going to Patling. From there, you can hire a tricycle going to Sta. Juliana for about 60 pesos. The trip took…
