The spirit of true giving is repaid
By but a smile its beneficiary make
What happiness its contribution made
The only satisfaction needful take

To have of thanks the recipiency

The full reward which here already be:
Able to give largesse the poor unto

Who seeks as well expressions duplicate
The gratitude any receiver of
Or recognition thus wish to create
Feels no true part of charitable love

Unfortunate recipients receive
Its poison to their souls, you may believe
