David Davis resigns as Brexit Secretary

David Davis has resigned from his post as Brexit Secretary and the new man in the job is Dominic Raab who was the Housing Minister.  In his letter of resignation to the Prime Minister, Davis appears to have showed he does not agree with Theresa May’s Brexit strategies.  Davis has warned fellow Conservatives not to use his resignation to challenge the Prime Minister for the leadership.

The sad news of the death of Dawn Sturgess, victim of Novichok poisoning

Dawn Sturgess, 44 year-old mother of three has died after coming into contact with the Novichok nerve agent and a murder enquiry has began. The security forces are still searching for the source, possibly a container Dawn and her partner Charlie Rowley picked up in Salibury or Amesbury.  The local population are very worried.Fifth boy rescued from Changai Rai Caves

Joy at rescue of fifth footballer from Changai Caves

A fifth boy has been rescued from the cave in Thailand and taken to the hospital where the four boys who were brought out on Saturday are being looked after.  They remain in quarantine so that the risk of infection is minimum.

Prince Louis is christened at St Jame’s Palace

The christening of the son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took place today at St Jame’s Palace.  With his older brother George, sister Charlotte and other members of the Royal Family, it was a smaller family gathering.  There were six god-parents and it took place at the St Jame’s Palace.

A retired midwife who enjoyed a satisfying career after years of rejecting it as a career choice. After becoming a Mum for the second time, somehow I just could not resist the call to midwifery any longer. Being part a family's important event gave more insight into how women, me included, both manage and sometimes muddle through pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood. Wisdom shared and gleaned from stories as well as healthy lifestyle tips and healthy recipes will hopefully answer your need.
