Violence In Soweto- Xeno

A young man was killed when he was suspected of attempting to rob a stall belonging to an immigrant. This sparked off a violent reaction as the local residents turned on Pakistani and Somali shopkeepers.  The residents had complained to the government about the sub-standard goods, which consisted of ‘fake goods and ‘poisonous foods. being sold to them. They hoped the government would take decisive steps to investigate and because it did nothing about the matter, the people are saying the government is partly to be blamed.  The people of Soweto and areas similar in demography want the same quality of products as sold in the middle-class towns.
