Tears of loneliness (Poem No 77 from 100 poems for my sweetheart by Ngobesing Suh Romanus)

Can you guess what
Is cooking?
The pot is boiling;
The temperature is high;
I am in search of you;
I have been searching for you,
Ever since you left me;
Since you disappeared
Into thin air,
I have been worried;
I have been lonely;
shedding tears of loneliness;
I do not know where
To find you in this
Loneliness that is killing me;
Where are you, my dear?
Where do I find you?
Where are you hiding?
Who will bring you back
To me?
I want you to come
Fully back to me;
I cannot do without you.
Are you coming back?
Please, do;
How can I manage it
Without you?
Don’t you know how important
You are to me?
Don’t you know the love
I have for you?
Do I need to tell you?
You know it so well;
You know how golden you are
To me;
How my heart burns for you;
So why abandon me?
Come back to me body, soul
And heart;
That is the best thing to do.
The wisest decision of all;
To heal this wound
You inflicted in my heart
That has refused to heal;
It has been there,
Ever since you left me;
And growing bigger;
Getting worse;
Deepening.
What a deepening wound of love!
Am so very lonely;
Come wipe these tears
Of loneliness pouring down
From my eyes.
