(Do I misjudge you?) Poem No 86 from 100 poems for my sweetheart by Ngobesing Suh Romanus

Perhaps, I misjudge you;
I keep on thinking
You no longer love me;
Do you still love me?
I think your love for me
Has died;
I think you don’t need me
anymore;
Tell me if I misjudge you?
Is your love for me intact?
What has raised my doubt is
I feel so lonely;
We no longer communicate;
Our relationship is no longer
Our priority;
We are no longer each other’s confidant;
We are living single lifestyles;
Aren’t these enough indications
That our love is sick?
If an environment that was hot
Because of a burning bush
Suddenly goes cold,
Can anyone say the bush fire
Is till burning as hotly as
It used to do?
I very much doubt it.
These are my thoughts
About our love.
Something needs to be done.

  1. You misjudge me all the time, I am crying I am angry I am hanging myself.

    No not really I could careless because people shouldn’t be judging anyways, well at least not negatively, that’s someone else’s job.
