Meteorologists are the only people who get paid to get it wrong. So I open the shades, unlock the door, and sit on my front porch to read the List of Predictions of the End of the World in Rational Wiki. Like the climate, predictions of Christ’s second coming are vague. Let’s face it. We do not have a clue; just the signs outlined in the Bible. But, the fact of the matter is the news channel gives light to the predictions in biblical proportions – massive flooding, strong earthquakes, and severe climate changes.
Conversations swirl about Sin City and the lifestyles which spread to the Pacific coast. Hollywood wanted to be first to predict events such as the “Armageddon”; yet the scenes recently played out in the “swarmageddon,” forty miles east of Los Angeles, with one thousand earthquakes rumbling Southern California. Speculate what you will, but never doubt the hand of God. He displays his unpredictability when eradicating or warning areas of a lot of sin. Is it my imagination, or do you recognize the signs too?
Prostitution and sexual deviations are now commonplace, and the courts dismiss more cases than not – it’s become an acceptable way of life. We show it on the big screens and cellphones in your home. You may doubt my correlation, but watch what happens to a lawless country, or in this case, state. Officials with gold-lined pockets who make poor decisions for their state, will suffer in the end – trust me! Be wary for God is pounding the ground in a temper of tremors!
Sin and cynics are on the rise, just as the Bible predicts for the End Times.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
I do not want my readers to misunderstand my intentions for this blog. I am not only referring to just California or Las Vegas with a high concentration of sin in America but there are many cities around the world. Examine other volatile nations and notice they, too, reap the repercussions of climatic events. Don’t tell me there isn’t a God sending us a message!
The Bible isn’t clear on predictions of the ending date of civilization, but God’s clear on what infuriates Him, and it’s unrelenting sin. Do you remember the biblical scriptures of Sodom and Gomorrah? It is a sad story with a reminder of how God’s temper destroys sinners. I do not have enough space on this blog to tell the whole story, but it is found in Genesis 19:1-30. Take some time to read it and make your own comparisons between the nations and the states who suffer significant catastrophic occurrences. God rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah and burned them to the ground.
Many readers ask me what kind of loving God can be so destructive? The answer is simple. He gave us rules and commandments to live by, yet we go against His words and continue to sin. Parents, you can appreciate what I’m about to say here. If you scold your child and they continue to misbehave, what happens? They are punished because they made their OWN choice to disobey the rules of your home. All God’s people make the same choices in life.
When I watch the news and hear of earthquakes and floods, I know God is shaking the guilt from unrighteous spirits. Yes, many good people live in these areas but remember this… a few believers and even children inhabited Sodom and Gomorrah. The Lord left them to die in the tragic fire so future generations would not carry on the deviant behavior. Where sin exists, God will address the situation.
Here is my hypothetical prediction. I promise those who attempt to rewrite or disobey God’s commandments will suffer in the acts of fate or famine. Our wonderful Lord and Father created this earth, and His mighty fist rules this not-so-sacred ground. Fall to your knees and praise our great Creator. Pray for forgiveness. When God places His temper of tremors in your area, you can be secure in knowing you are safe in His loving arms. God bless you, my friends around the world. Be not afraid, but aware God is calling.
6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
