Intricate

Don’t forget

How intricate

Life can be

It does make sense

That it can be complex

But hold on

Lies are being exposed

Keeping you on your toes

Truth will be revealed

Stay strong

Joy can no longer be concealed

Oh, can’t you see?

With Each Step

Beautiful dance
Was this love up to chance?
With each step
We learn more

Amidst the peace or war
We keep dancing
I love you
With each secret I kept

I feel your gaze
And I am amazed
I have known you for so long
We can trust holding each other close

I follow your toes
As bombs are going off
We move with such speed and grace
Even in the Good War, we belong

Jesus is Good

Days may run dry like a river

Nights may make you shiver

But God will deliver

Time may move like a torpendo

Fast like the ocean flow

Faster than you know

Hold on to this coaster ride

Peace does confide

So jump for joy inside

It Takes More than Flying a Flag (My 4th of July Poem)

There is a different between boundaries

And not respecting someone

The balance isn’t always easily done

Our country is now so divided

With the 4th upon us

But unity has me excited

I honor you

But not always your choices

There is a difference

This 4th let’s celebrate

A new age dawning

We decide the future, not fate

Other countries can have intense discussions

Why can we?

Start a chain reaction of American liberty!

I know it isn’t always easy

This cost of freedom

It takes more than flying a flag!

The Rooms

In the halls of discontentment

In the crowded spaces of resentment

Are these cloth coverings of protection?

Because of our wounds of rejection?

We are all mummied up

Spilling this blessed cup

Blocking our vision because of these cloths

We are could-have-been-butterflies moths

When will we allow our ugliness to shine?

That’s where mess and glory allow the stars to align

God is a Ghost

6E4B8927-E9F3-4BE1-A8A0-5A8624008966

This is a poem from a while back. Enjoy!

The cobwebs, the crooked doors, and the darkened hallways
I forget to acknowledge myself in all my ways
I forget there is one constant in all of the universe
It still has to run its course
When I feel all alone
I forget there is a soul of mine I can call my own
Aliens, ghosts, and skeletons
But don’t you forget God is a ghost
He has come to give you what you need most
You should fear this ghost
He can mysteriously pop up in front of you during the day
Sometimes it appears he is unseen
But he knows what you need
He has come to reap and comfort
For he alone can heal our hurt
Don’t forget God’s a ghost
And he loves you very much
Don’t forget his mysterious power
