Are you not tired?

tired-runner.jpg
We all grow tired eventually; it happens to everyone. Even the sun, at the close of the year, is no longer a morning person.”
― Joyce Rachelle

Are you not tired

of building walls

brick after brick

cemented by mistrust

of past lovers?

Are you not tired

of putting on an empty

facade of perfection

clothed in insecurities

and self-loathe?

Are you not tired

of despair

and the hollowness

of loneliness

seeping through you being?

Are you not tired

of seeing

wickedness thrive

deepening its roots

into clean land?

Are you not tired,

of ugly assumptions

flying rumors

those that burden

and kill you inside?

If you are,

then live freely

owing yourself

nothing but the best,

remember love,

You owe the world nothing.
