The Wierd, Wide World

Yuvi's Buzz

The moon fell into the ocean, splashing, drenching me with a cold wave

The wind refused to dry me out as I shivered and sweared on my way home

The stars had fallen too, tired of shining, couldn’t spot a single one from the window

The air lost its scent of blooming flowers, it’s colorless, odorless, and lifeless

The dreams at night were abstract arts, I failed to decode them every time

The harsh rains hurt my skin as I swallowed my coffee, so tasteless

The signs were all around me that I ignored, the universe kept planting them

Like the sun rays reaching the edges of the earth, it dawned upon me now

This wierd, wide world will never be the same without you.

A Stranger From The Present

She reluctantly opened her eyes at the sound of the alarm clock that read 6.30am. It was a difficult task, getting out of bed with just about two hours of sleep. But she couldn’t give any more excuses to be off from work. This had become a habit.

Her worst mistake from the past, haunted her like a haunted house, she had to visit and revisit every single night. She never realized that with every day that passes she was far and away from it, one day at a time. Well, time heals they say.

But still, it all felt new and fresh as the day it happened. That night too, was no exception.

She watched herself ignoring her best friend’s calls for a stupid reason. The next day morning the news hit her like a bullet to the chest. If she had just picked up the call, her best friend would have been alive. Apparently, the demons of her best friend’s life had an upper hand that night. She had lost the fight.

“Why are you still here?” Someone from behind asked her but all she could see was darkness.

“Who’s there?” She asked, confused.

“Who am I?” The voice laughed. “You don’t belong here anymore”.

She did not understand. She kept staring into the dark. May be she would have waited for someone to appear.

“I’m your Past. You don’t belong here anymore.”

“If I had just picked up…” words crumbled and her eyes welled.

“Her fate was cruel. Yes. But you couldn’t have changed it whatever you had done. It is not your fault. For years you have visited and now you are no more than a stranger from the Present. You can now go back there to live your life in peace.”

She stood there, million thoughts overwhelming her but the voice was gone.

She slowly opened her eyes when her alarm sang. The air smelled fresh and sweet and she knew that it was going to be a good morning, that day and every day there after.

A Celestial Hide-and-Seek

Yuvi's Buzz

The Sun, the Moon and planet Earth

Celestials of fame, chasing each other

Upon the stars, they made a wish

Toddlers they turned, once in a while

A game they played, of olden days

Golden it was, born no one to deny

Counted down one by one, the earth did, her eyes closed

In a paint of pitch black, covered herself the moon

Roll and roll she did, the sun behind her, hid

A camouflage the moon thought, hiding in plain sight

But dazzled across galaxies, the ring-of-halo of the Sun

Peek-a-Boo! The earth seeked, easy as night and day

The moon rolled away, with a will to win the next time

Lovely it was like no other, a brief but mighty game

Witnessed by the earthlings, in wonder, frozen till the end

Eclipse, they called it, the Celestials’ hide-and-seek!

The Lone Wolf

Yuvi's Buzz

Alone he was, wherever it was

Stronger, it made him, more than he thought.

Peace he knew, a luxury well deserved

Shame he knew not, joy of being alone.

More of a solitary, he was, a lone wolf

Sight of another human, he never yearned.

In love with the moon, he was, deep and true

Bright and beautiful she was, another girl he never knew.

Once a month he turned, he cried and howled

For the love he will never get, from the far away moon.

What didn’t kill him, made him stronger

No hate in him, but cherished and relished in her bright light.

A solitary, a lone wolf he was called

But a were-wolf he was, wild and hard.

Will You Miss Me?

Yuvi's Buzz

The grainy sands of the beach

The dancing tides of the ocean

In the wet sand, I rambled

A clean slate, the waves made

My darkest secrets safe, once again.

The gentle breeze on my skin

The dazzling sunset in the horizon

I leaped in the air and swirled

Moving one with the wind

Every beat of my heart cleansed.

Lost in the beauty I see,

I wish everyday to be free

I let the waves kiss my legs

Ponder over the life at beach.

O, the grainy sands and the dancing tides

O, the gentle breeze and the dazzling sunsets

My never fading love, I have confessed.

Your answer, I will wait forever

Show me a sign in secret

Just a drizzle in the hot summer

When I go back to reality,

Will you miss me?

Fantasy and Reality

Rise and shine at six

No more problems to fix.

Favorite song in the air

Dance and do the hair.

Lipsticks and nail polish organised

Shades and everything customised.

A fancy car at my service

Is that jealousy? “Oh, please!”

Not just the ‘blue skies’, I want

Double rainbows and unicorns, to flaunt.

Fantasy just a little is good

Until it becomes greed’s food.

Life is amazing and beautiful

Often humans tend to forget

Money is for survival, to exist

But love is for living life to the fullest!

The New Me

Failures and losses, I was all alone

Stuck in a corner, with a broken bone.

Darkness is a leech, sucking the lights

Dimming and dulling, every beam of bright.

Love and hope are birds, they flew away

Survive, they won’t in dark, can’t blame the way.

I look in the mirror, I see a shadow

Lost so deep, in the giant cloud of dark.

You knocked the door, you screamed my name

As a stubborn rock, you sat at the door.

Your voice guided the way, to the light

But lost cause I am, just didn’t move.

You broke the door, you pulled me out

In came with you the flew away birds.

Your light was glaring, burned the darkness to dust

I healed by the minute, like from a sickness.

Now I look in the mirror, I see something new

I see myself smiling, bright and shining.

Tug Of War

The pain in betrayal

The hurt in heart break

Forgive and forget

Said, the Angel in me.

Revenge is sweet

An ecstasy, so glorious

Never forget nor forgive

Said, the Devil in me.

It is a tug of war, so big

Between the Angel and Devil

Friends they aren’t, I imagined

But conspired in the shadows, they did

Partnered in the black night, they did

And shattered me into million pieces.
