The Left’s War Against Immigration [Video]

The hottest story on the planet at the moment is taking place at the southern border of the United States. The unwashed masses of ordinary Americans are being assured by the Leftmedia’s press politburo that illegal aliens rushing the border are only a problem because of President Trump.

The now infamous photo of a woman running from tear gas with children in tow is offered as evidence of Trump’s evil intent regarding immigrants. Surely all those racist and misogynist Trump supporters will realize that the Left is only trying to help open their eyes and they will turn away from this obviously insidious man.

Of course, this means that the Left must ignore or downplay the fact that President Obama did exactly the same thing to other groups of illegal aliens trying to rush the border. Moreover, he did this on hundreds of occasions.

In truth, the Left isn’t interested in engaging the facts of the matter. Nor are they bothered about the destructive fruit of their efforts on the American citizen.

Their sole concern is the completion of their malevolent mission against America. Those people and institutions destroyed as a result are considered acceptable civilian casualties of war for the sake of the Leftist ideal.

Encouraging Illegal Aliens Harms Immigrants

ImmigrationThe truth of the matter is that encouraging illegal aliens to break in and enter the United States harms immigrants themselves. Not the leftist-lionized illegals, rather those who are legal immigrants are substantially harmed.

As a clarification to those who might wonder why I use illegal aliens to identify the wannabe invaders. I use the legal term for these persons, as should be used for we are discussing the rule of law and sovereignty of a nation.

Legal immigrants are really the only people who deserve the title of immigrant. They have earned the name because they entered America respecting the laws of America as their first act.

Many of these same people go through a grueling process to gain their citizenship as an American. A process that is costly in many respects.

These honorable and courageous people are being ignored in the current debate, much to our detriment. They are also adversely affected by invading illegal aliens, and their voices should be heard.

Those immigrants who come to America legally by visa, green card or become citizens are in the same pool of workers as any other American. Thus they suffer the same fate of seeing their wages undercut by the cheaper labor of illegals.

Legal immigrants also suffer just like other Americans with the drain on social and governmental resources caused by illegal aliens. The legal immigrant suffers as well from the increase in crime that often accompanies large numbers of illegal aliens in many areas.

Favoring Illegal Aliens Profoundly Insults Immigrants

ImmigrationThere is a very insulting message sent by the Left to immigrants with their favor of illegal aliens in America. It is the message that their patience, perseverance and hard work were the efforts of fools.

In an excellent piece by Don Feder, he writes,

My wife’s father was born and raised in Barbados. He immigrated to the United States when he was 17-years-old. Although it would have been easy for him to enter the country illegally, he chose to enter legally and stood in line for hours to be processed through Ellis Island.

He was proud to be a legal immigrant his entire life, until his death in 1985. He worked for the United States Post Office in New York City and in Arizona. He also served as an officer in the New York City Police Auxiliary.

Living in Arizona he was very familiar with the influx of illegal aliens and often spoke out against them. He believed that every person wishing to enter the United States do so legally, as he and so many others did.

The hubris of Leftism declares this immigrant a chump for following the law. By leftist thinking, illegal aliens are far more valuable than American citizens, especially those who immigrated legally.

After all, immigrants who become citizens are on record with an oath of loyalty to the United States and its Constitution. Loyal American citizens are always a source of irritation to the Marxist Left and their minions.

The fact that a former resident of another country would renounce his homeland to become an American is even worse for the Left. That person willingly embraces what they reject; that America is a great country and patriotism is a worthy ideal.

Moreover, illegal aliens are easy to attract and recruit for the Left. They are praised by the Leftmedia and given a plethora of handouts thanks to our Left-leaning politicians.

This serves to increase a population the Left will push hard to turn into a legal voting block. Should that fail, they always have their race card to pull which facilitates not requiring ID to vote and makes voter fraud their art form.

The Border Wall Can Save Immigration

The current situation at the southern border is untenable. Dishonest politicians in collaboration with the lying Leftmedia exacerbate the problem of an illegal alien invasion.

On his November 28, 2018 radio program, Buck Sexton superbly highlighted these lies of the MSM concerning this recent “caravan” of illegals,

Number 1: “It’s mostly women and children.”
Number 2: “It’s mostly valid asylum seekers.”
Number 3: “No criminals (in the caravan)”
Number 4: “No external organizers”
Number 5: “The troop deployment is not helpful”
Number 6: “There is no threat to U.S. personnel posed by this caravan”

Border patrol agents on the scene at the border stated the following revealing the truth and countering these lies.

President Trump made solving this problem the keystone of his campaign in 2016. The promise to “build the wall,” was repeated often during the campaign as the biggest solution.

It is the one major promise which has yet to be fulfilled. In fact, there is no timeline or substantial funding for a wall at present.

This is surprising considering that both the House and Senate have been held by Republicans for the past two years. It is to the shame of many RINO “never Trumpers” that we do not have the needed security of a border wall.

Without such a physical barrier, there is no way to control the southern border onslaught America is under today. If America is under such assault, immigrants are as well.

Israel and San Diego Show Walls Work

ImmigrationThe question of a border wall’s effectiveness has already been answered. Yes, a border wall does work, both in other nations and in America.

American ally Israel and the city of San Diego have both shown positive results by using physical barriers at their borders.

In a 2017 statement by Senator Ron Johnson, R-Wis, he said concerning Israel,

Johnson, who chairs the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, released a report titled “Securing Israel: Lessons learned from a nation under constant threat of attack.” The report came after a trip Johnson made to Israel where he met the Israeli prime minister and other security officials. The report notes that the number of people illegally crossing the Israel-Egypt border was more than 16,000 in 2011 and less than 20 in 2016, a 99 percent decrease.

San Diego used to be the primary entry point for illegal aliens in the 1980s and 90s. Almost half of all border apprehensions in the United States in 1991 were in the San Diego area.

“Before this primary fence was built, migrants were coming north with no fencing, no barrier to stop them,” [San Diego Border Agent Tekae] Michael said, noting that before they began constructing the initial barrier in 1991, people were “driving basically straight on through the border.”

“So this primary fence was built to stop those huge loads of people and narcotics,” she said. These days, it’s relatively quiet. Michael notes that on this tour of the border wall, it’s unlikely we’ll encounter many people trying to cross illegally—something that would have been a common sight in the 1980s and ’90s.

ImmigrationPresident Trump was right to emphasize building the border wall during the campaign. His efforts to build the wall in the first half of his first term have been frustrated by his foes both Democrat and Republican.

The president still believes this must be done soon, and he is correct. The wall is necessary for American security despite the whining from the Left.

If the Left really cared about immigrants or immigration, they would support building the border wall. Instead, they chant at their violent protests,

No Trump, No Wall, No USA at all!

If the Left cared about immigrants, they would not support sanctuary cities that harbor illegal aliens who have committed serious crimes including rape and murder. Instead, left-leaning federal judges declare that President Trump cannot withhold federal funding from sanctuary cities.

The truth is that Leftists despise immigrants for getting in their path to an imagined Socialist “utopia.” They would rather open the border to a flood of illegals and help destroy the greatest free nation the world has yet known.

Africa Works: Disorder As Political Instrument -Book Review.

Politics can and has be defined in so many ways depending on the school of thought.

According to Wikitionary Politics is a methodology and activities associated with running a government, an organization, or a movement.

Some say politics is a struggle for power and a continuation of war by other means.

While to another it is the authoritative allocation of values.

And for some other people politics is a game of numbers.

Whichever way you choose to see it, one thing is common and certain about politics. “People” Politics can’t take place without people.

This is the concluding part of the book review Africa Works. If you haven’t read the first part you can do so here and now let’s get right into it. Shall we?

TOWARD A NEW PARADIGM OF DEVELOPMENT.

Chabal and Daloz paradigm describes Africa’s development in terms of what they call the instrumentalization of disorder. The major claim is that Africa is in a state of disorder due to it ineffective institutions and corruption.

The state of disorder in Africa is active and an indication of a unique African developmental path where almost everyone is a participant and after their personal interest as a result of what they will gain from the corrupt system.

In Africa corruption has eaten deep in all nooks and cranny of the society which makes it decentralised.

Everyone, everywhere tries to benefit, for example, at airports, government ministries, local government agencies, health, customs etc. Everyone want his or her share making progress to encourage corruption.

Driving from Lagos to Cotonou for instance, a traveller is likely to come across a dozen of road blocks, manned by various police forces, custom officers, local authority officials, etc. each asking for the same document and bribes.

According to the IMF corruption and disorder in Africa is an instrument making profit and as to this effect there are losers in the politics of corruption.

Emphasis on poverty alleviation strategies by aid agencies and World Bank verified the concern about deepening poverty in Africa.

Wretched images of Africa’s poverty and diseases is a regular feature on international television.

Majority of these victims are children, women, youths and aged people. To this effect Chabal and Daloz also argued the need for cultural/psychological view as an important variable in analysing Africa’s developmental issues.

Some African academics who have in recent time adopted the same method are of the opinion that when the psychological factors are taken into consideration, then it will become clear that Africa is not declining, nor is it stagnant, but it is forging ahead, according to its own path, although at a great difference with existing models of developments and that Africa will map out a unique developmental path which is in line with a specific African mind set.

This mind set has been criticised by Chabal and Daloz as defective. For example was claimed by one author,

African elites, even when they use private jets and speculate in the world’s major financial centres still remain prey to irrational beliefs long disappeared in the west.

Also the psychological defects of the Africans has been described as the inability of government to make institutions more formal and impersonal relations.

These are bad indication and a contradiction between one end, and the claim that Africa will find its own unique developmental path, and on the other hand, the characterisation of the African mind set as defective.

The Left’s War on Science Part 4: Erroneous Economics [Video]

The first three parts of this series dealt with the leftist distortions of climate change, abortion, and transgenderismPart four examines the Left’s erroneous ideas concerning economics.

Economics is not a ‘hard’ science in the same way as physics or mathematics.  However, economics directly affects ordinary people more than most ‘hard’ sciences.

That is seen whether one is discussing a wealthy nation, such as the United States, or an impoverished country in the third world. The everyday person’s politics are often confined by necessity to economics.

Thus economics is extremely important to the lives of each of us and our loved ones. It is to everyone’s advantage to understand the essential views of economics from both the Left and the Right.

Leftist Economics Exemplify Marxism

Economic theory has many labels. Capitalism, free enterprise, and market economics are some names of the general system favored by conservatives on the Right. Marxism, Communism, Socialism are the Left’s idea of good economics.

CommunismThe basis of leftist economics is found in the economic and political views of Karl Marx. Modern Socialism and Communism trace their roots to his work as a political and intellectual revolutionary in 19th Century Europe.

In 1847, Marx and his compatriot Fredrick Engels wrote the iconic work which birthed  Communism, “The Communist Manifesto.” In short, this formed the marching orders of Communism.

The more important book came much later. The first volume of “Das Kapital” was written by Marx in 1867 containing the philosophy of Communist thought.

It was there that the economic theory of Communism came to full flower. As Marx grew older he focused his thought on Capitalism and what he perceived as its inherent evils.

Marx believed that a Capitalist system was comprised of a class of poor workers who were being exploited by the elite rich. The solution was a state-mandated and enforced “Robin Hood” approach.

That is, the state would take from the rich and give to the poor in order to eliminate both classes and make society economically equal. In the famous words of Marx,

“From each according to his ability to each according to his needs.”

It Looks Great ‘on Paper’

Image 5 9.9.2018 articleAs a hypothesis, Communism looks great…’on paper.’ The problem which persists to the present is the refusal of acolytes to admit that, in practice, Communism has failed every time it has been tried.

The most recent victim to the terrible results of Communism in practice is the beleaguered nation of Venezuela. Though it is not ‘officially’ under a Communist ‘party,’ the government is unabashedly Socialist, which is a gentle way of saying they are Communist.

Socialists are unable to see that it is the philosophy itself which is unworkable. The most recent example of such is being demonstrated in the devastated nation of Venezuela. The annual inflation rate recorded last month in that country was an astounding 46,305%!

Whether under the late Hugo Chavez or his successor, Nicolas Maduro, the destructive pattern continues. What was once the wealthiest nation in South America is now impoverished and in economic freefall.

Venezuelans are fleeing the nation because of shortages of, well, everything! From groceries to medicines, is almost completely gone.

This has forced many who haven’t yet left to turn to the black market for simple food to eat. That is if they have any money left to purchase it.

For the many unfortunates who cannot afford the ridiculously inflated prices, there is a ghastly alternative.

Aside from chubby dictator Nicolas Maduro and his fellow elites, the Venezuelan people are running out of food and medical supplies. In their starving desperation, citizens have resorted to breaking into zoos to slaughter and eat the also malnourished animals; buffalo, pigs and horses are top choices on the menu.

The destructiveness of the Marxist economic/political ideal goes far beyond even a starving populace. The errors inherent in its theory have produced a death toll far beyond anything else in world history.

The Grisly Death-toll of Leftist Economics

Socialism and deathLeftist economics became center-stage as the Communist revolution in Russia exploded in 1917. Since that time, under various names, Socialism of one form or another has killed more people than any other event, natural or man-made, in history.

Understand that Socialism has various pedigrees, but the same evil end. The Nazi party in Germany was officially known as the “National Socialist German Workers Party.”

Together with Germany’s National Socialism, the Communist Socialists such as the old USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) and Communist China have racked up a body count of over 150 million people!

The obvious question this brings to mind is why. Why has Leftist economic practice failed so miserably, and caused such misery?

My layman’s analysis pins down two large reasons for this. One is that governments are not producers of wealth. When the state controls the economy, as in Socialism, it can only control what wealth is already present.

The goal of Leftist economics is to forcibly redistribute wealth in order to eliminate the economic differences between classes in society. In short, to ‘level the playing field,’ economically.

This means that those who potentially could produce wealth as innovators or business owners have no incentive to do so. After all, if they cannot reap rewards for their efforts, why expend the time, energy and money.

Greed

Secondly, Leftism fails because it doesn’t account for the baseness of human nature. It requires a belief that people are basically good; a fatal fallacy refuted by God’s Word and history.

…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 [ESV]

Marxist-type systems require a blind faith that the sinful nature will not sabotage the goal of redistribution. In other words, it requires people in high authority to be trusted with doling out all of everyone else’s money.

One of the best presentations about this phenomenon was given many years ago by noted economist Milton Friedman. In this short video excerpt of an interview with former TV host Phil Donohue, he presents a clear case against Socialism and for Capitalism.

The Creep of Leftist Economics in Modern America

Leftism has been on a steady creep into American society and politics for many decades. The primary venue where this asserts itself economically is in the progressive income tax system of the Internal Revenue Service, or IRS.

Noted economist Walter Williams characterizes the income tax in personal terms of morality.

Surely if a private person took money from one person and gave it to another, we’d deem it theft and, as such, immoral. Does the same act become moral when Congress takes people’s money to give to farmers, airline companies or an impoverished family? No, it’s still theft, but with an important difference: It’s legal, and participants aren’t jailed.

ObamacareIn more recent times, the calamity of Obamacare has been an example of how the state is at best incompetent as well as immoral when trying a socialistic approach to health care.

America herself received a prime example of a Socialist incompetence during the rollout of Obamacare beginning in 2011. The Federal government spent hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars trying and failing to build the healthcare website. Many pointed out at the time that there were a lot of people who could have done it better for a lot less.

Obamacare came under much-deserved criticism both before and after it was implemented. In part, because of that, it has been repackaged under a new label, “Medicare for all.”

This is but one of many forces pushing the free-enterprise Capitalism element out of the economy. However, it may be the most costly of all and risks virtual bankruptcy of the nation.

As the president rightly notes, this is another attempt at a government takeover of health care which would be disastrous. This must be opposed vigorously both at the ballot box and in society.

The only system which honors individual work is a free enterprise Capitalist system. The freedom of the individual is the basis on which God approaches humanity as well.

Unless the person chooses to follow the LORD, He will not force them to do so. Nor does He endorse human beings forcing their will upon others except where a violation of another’s rights is involved.

It is unwise to adopt a system in contradiction to His will. I pray we soon realize that the Left’s economics is very unwise and destructive.

The Necessity of Truth Today

Number two in a new Sunday Series on virtues

Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” After he had said this, he went back outside to the Jews and told them, “I find no guilt in him. John 18:37-38 [ESV]

Last week I began this special series with a reflection on the virtue of beauty. In my eagerness to begin, I neglected to mention some basic information.

This is the second of seven contemplations on various virtues and their meanings for our lives. There may be others who will disagree on whether seven is too many or not enough.

I would reply that seven seems sufficient to cover the basics for a practical understanding. It is, after all, considered by many to be the number of completion in Scripture.

These are biblical and philosophical musings from this author’s interpretations and point of view. It is my sincere hope that these can prove edifying to others who chance upon them.

Identifying Truth

9955531593_da22ba4ee6_mIn the modern age, perhaps the most difficult task in life is to correctly identify truth. One obvious reason is today’s overload of information, both true and false, appearing in various formats on the internet.

However, it is vital for every person to be able to determine what is true just to live each day. According to dictionary.com, the word truth is defined as,

1.the true or actual state of a matter:
He tried to find out the truth.
2.conformity with fact or reality; verity:
the truth of a statement.
3. a verified or indisputable fact, proposition, principle, or the like:
mathematical truths.

There are many other dictionary entries for “truth,” but these are the most basic which apply to all the others. The first definition is the least useful because it defines truth as, well, what is true.

Entries 2 and 3 define truth as a concept. Truth is comprised of facts that best comport with what is real.

On a practical level, most people understand that truth must align with reality. Yet the question of Pilate still resonates with many when he asks, “What is truth?”

I believe this is because knowing what truth is seems easier than identifying the truth among the chaos around us. In order to successfully navigate toward identifying truth, we must first understand that truth is absolute.

The Absolute Truth

reality and truthThe truth about truth is that it cannot be denied. Truth is an absolute. This means that truth exists independent of acknowledgment.

In other words, the truth about anything or anyone exists even if no one sees it or agrees with it. This assertion goes against the prevailing leftist view that truth is relative to one or more viewpoints.

The common refrain from the Left is characterized by the statement, “There is no such thing as absolute truth.” The correct response to that statement is, “Nonsense.”

It is nonsense because it is a self-defeating statement. If there is no absolute truth, then even the statement, ‘there is no absolute truth,’ is untrue.

If one claims this statement is true, then we know there is at least one absolutely true fact. However, it is the fact that no truth is absolute!

Truth deals in reality, in facts and actualities of what is and what is not. However, identifying the truth often means dealing with falsehoods and distortions of the truth.

Faith and the Truth

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 [ESV]

FaithThe falsehoods and distortions of the truth exist all around us. In order to both identify and deal with them, we must be intimately familiar with what is actually true.

It is much like someone in a bank who must determine which bills or coins are counterfeited. In order to accomplish this, they must know every possible facet of a real bill or coin.

Yet, even the expert can be fooled by a thorough enough deception. The truth about truth is absolute, but it is also impossible for imperfect humans to know the truth perfectly.

Even science recognizes this and it is reflected in the classic scientific method. What we know as scientific ‘fact’ has been subjected to a process of testing designed to disprove the hypothesis or theory or even a scientific ‘law.’

The reasoning is that if a proposition, such as the Law of Gravity, can have serious doubt cast upon it with an experiment, it is likely incorrect. If that cannot be done, it is very likely correct and true.

Therefore, though the truth is absolute, the certainty of the truth is not. Why not? Because all of us process our environment by placing some faith in our senses to give us correct information.

In fact, that is what human beings have to do to live life at all. Sensory input tells us that we do not exist alone, that we live with others as co-workers, friends, families, and foes.

The Matrix red pillThe only alternative to this is living as though everything and everyone else we see or hear is an illusion of our own mind. Though that is an entertaining concept as seen in the fictional film “The Matrix,” it is not reality.

We are not like the character of Neo in that film. We cannot simply ‘take the red pill,’ to know the truth.

How Can We Know the Truth?

How can we bridge the gap between the truth that exists and our knowledge of that truth? There is no way to do so by relying on human sources alone.

Human knowledge and searching can take us far along the road to truth, but not to the point of perfect assurance. To get there, we must travel the less comfortable path which goes beyond the senses.

Jesus put it this way when speaking to His disciples,

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:16,17 [ESV]

Jesus ChristThe ultimate, absolute truth is found through the Holy Spirit’s guidance. That guidance is available solely by trusting in God the Son, Jesus Christ.

A few verses prior to the above citation, Jesus says this,

…I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 [ESV]

The truth that is necessary to go about everyday life can be garnered from many human sources. The ultimate truth which gives real meaning to life can only be realized through faith in the One who declares He is both the way and the life as well as the truth, Christ the Lord.

Africa Works: Disorder As Political Instrument – Book Review

This is perhaps one of the best books I read on African politics while I was in school. The authors takes a fresh and interesting approach to the instrumentalisation of power in Africa and discuss how it impacts African societies and economies. The book provides a wonderful framework with which to analyse African politics and a new paradigm. A must read for every scholar of African politics

Published in 1999

This book is organised around three important issues and related categories.

First, according to Patrick Chabal and Jean Pascal Daloz;

The African condition can be describe in terms of a unique culture and mind-set that force its people to follow a developmental trajectory which is different from that of other countries of the world that modernised first.

Secondly, they argue that:

Sub-Saharan Africa has the problem that cuts across the whole of Africa among which are corruption and ineffective institutions that affects all sectors of the society.

Thirdly, they observe that:

While African countries and institutions seem to be in a state of disorder and corruption, this situation is active and describe Africa’s unique developmental trail.

In this book Africa is seen as a continent full of crisis. They admitted that the problem of African development has a long history and has been of topical issues after Second World War. While there have been a lot of theories and recommendations abound, progress has been limited if not static.

Sub-Sahara is seen with the reputation of being the poorest region in the world. The region has declined in the rate at which they made progress during the mid-1970s when per capita incomes in Africa exceeded those in most of the developing world, including Asia.

According to World Bank report, a series of negative facts about sub-Sahara were highlighted such as income dropping lower than it was in the late 1960s with widespread of war, diseases, corruption, unemployment and its share of global trade has been shrinking thereby contributing only 2% of the world trade.

Chabal and Daloz argue that ineffective institution and corruption are the fundamental problem facing Africa. The definition of institutional effectiveness was given in terms of ideal type Weberian type bureaucracies.

In their assumption, they are of the opinion that the effectiveness of institutions is derived by organising their structure, purposes, and resources in order to provide rule based governance that is fair, rational and predictable.

To prevent institutions from the domination of interest groups, there should be a proper and well structured bureaucracy. One of the primary problem highlighted with African leaders and institutions is patrimonialism which is the widespread use or diverting public assets or resources for personal gain by officials who manage them.

There is no distinction between public and private spheres which also is one of the reason why African institutions are ineffective. This is due to the fact that African institutions are not neutral and it raises the question, what it means for a bureaucracy to be neutral and according to these scholars bureaucratic neutrality is not possible.

As Knott and Miller observed, institutions shape outcomes by creating incentives that leads to one decision or another. They also opined that the way institutions are arranged affects decision making processes separately from the people involved.

In their conclusion they said that as long as there are different institutional arrangements that leads to different results, then those institutional arrangement cannot be seen as neutral.

They also said that the institutional structure are the output of political choices of political actors. They also argue that it is pointless to maintain institutional or administrative neutrality rather the issue is who gets what from the political system.

According to Chabal and Daloz corruption in Africa is manifested and affects all sectors of the society. There is a distinction between a manifested form of corruption in Africa and western countries less corrupt which they called horizontal corruption.

Horizontal corruption involves the exchange of favours between economic and political elites. Corruption is seen as a unique phenomenon in Africa and a major cause of Africa’s economic grief.

The argument that the level of corruption in African states in typical has been contested by other observers, according to Bayart, Ellis Hibou, they are of the opinion that it is not that African states or their political system are more corrupt than others, as it is often believed.

There is no reason to say that Japan, China, India, Turkey, Russia etc. are less corrupt, but in Africa, the interaction between the practice of power, war, economic accumulation and illegal activities of different types constitute a particular political trajectory which can be fully appreciated only if it is addressed by looking back to see what has gone wrong and how it can be fixed and improved upon.

One of the features of this trajectory is the exploitation by dominant social groups, by dominant actors and other forms of domination such as the insertion of Africa in the international economy in the name of being dependence. Some examples include rents derived from diplomatic and military alliances, from the control of exports of oil and import of all kinds, as well as management of external financial aids.

It was suggested that a distinction be made between what may be called primary level corruption which is by the elites and secondary level corruption by the average person in Africa.

Primary level corruption is of higher level or rate than the secondary level corruption and the two are informally related. Secondary level corruption occurs from the strategies that people devised to cope with the malfunctioning of institutions and service delivery systems.

For example anytime Nigeria is faced with fuel scarcity” which is often attributed to corruption by independent oil marketers and several high level executive in Nigeria oil and gas sector which lead to shortage in fuel supply resulting to the sale of fuel in black market and in addition some of the limited petrol service attendants took bribes from motorists in exchange for preferential treatment.

This shows that corruption at the retail or distribution level is secondary because it is related to corruption at the national level which means that corruption at the top results to corruption at the bottom.

There is a reason to believe that the high level of corruption in Africa is propelled by primary level corruption and much of the corruption at the lower level in Africa is a reflection of the mechanism that people use to deal with ineffective institutions.

As observed by Narayan et al this is not peculiar to Africa but other parts of the world as well. The breakdown of institutions, especially in case of state breakdown, people take such advantages to meet their needs, doing whatever necessary to survive not minding how dangerous or the unjust nature or exploitative nature of their actions which could be through active sabotage or passive resistance.

Another issue raised by Chabal and Daloz, in Africa’s corruption and disorder is functional and defines it unique developmental path, and this position determine a new paradigm.

A Warrior in Prayer

I had intended to return to the series about the Left’s war on science this week.

Last week’s post was an interruption in that series. Part four will be coming soon, so be watching!

I have heard that the late Andrew Breitbart once stated that ‘politics is downstream from culture.’ If he is correct, the latest public display of vitriol by the Left is cause for serious alarm.

The fact is that the West is in a life and death struggle, a cultural war, which has dire consequences should the adversaries triumph. The question is, ‘How can such a triumph be avoided and the tide of this war be turned?’

I believe the solution comes in three phases, realization, comprehension and mobilization. First comes the opening of eyes, the realization that the Left has launched a cultural blitzkrieg against the West, and they’re not alone.

Realization: The Cultural Blitzkrieg

The first step is to realize the nature of the enemies of the West. Because there are two main opponents to be reckoned with, the leftists and Islamists.

It has become clear that Western culture is under attack by the Left in every arena. Moreover, the intensity and speed of this attack are accelerating at a rapid rate.

It is much like the initial attacks from Nazi Germany in 1939. A blitzkrieg is being launched against the values of the West by the Socialist Left.

The Left is aided in this campaign by a strange ally, militant Islam. Militant Islam is itself at war with the West and any culture which will not submit to Muslim rule.

This blitz is being waged by both groups against a common enemy, the West especially as expressed by America. The next piece needed to counter this is comprehension of the tactics employed by the enemies.

Comprehension: Enemy Tactics in the Culture War

BlitzkriegBlitzkrieg is of German origin and the word literally means “lightning war.” It was introduced in 1939 when Germany invaded Poland with overwhelming forces in a surprise attack.

The tactic was stunningly successful. So much so that scarcely two years later Germany had conquered almost all of Continental Europe and was poised to invade Great Britain.

Both the Left and Militant Islam have used tactics similar to the “blitz” in the current cultural battles. This has borne much fruit for their aim to dismantle the West.

Both groups have prepared for their assaults in a manner comparable to the Nazi military machine. The first step then was to build sufficient forces which could move rapidly to ensure victory.

The Left began its campaign decades ago in America by infiltrating the public education system. Since leftist philosophy is atheistic the key to accomplishing this was to remove anything in public education favoring reliance upon God.

This was achieved back in 1962 with two Supreme Court rulings.

On June 25, 1962, the United States Supreme Court decided in Engel v. Vitale that a prayer approved by the New York Board of Regents for use in schools violated the First Amendment by constituting an establishment of religion. The following year, in Abington School District v. Schempp, the Court disallowed Bible readings in public schools for similar reasons.

The removal of prayer and Bible reading in schools has fostered terrible consequences. This video is more than a decade old, yet no one would suggest things are better today in America.

Through the education system, the Left has built a substantial crop of soldiers for Socialism over the last 55 years.

Islamic Tactics

Islamic radicalThe Islamic tactics in the war against the West begin with the infiltration of the culture through immigration. Immigration became the maneuver to build up the needed forces for their own brand of “the blitz.”

One other factor unites the Left with radical Islam. Wittingly or not, leftists in Western nations have opened up the floodgates for Muslim immigration.

The consequences of allowing mass immigration of particularly Islamic origin is felt keenly in Europe today. It has resulted in:

chaos in Europe, including jihad attacks, Muslim rape gangs, attacks on women, no-go zones and Sharia patrols, the rise in anti-Semitism that even Angela Merkel attributes “to people of Arab origin,”

The cultural atmosphere favoring Islamic mass migration is now reflected in European law. In some places, if one is critical of this they can be legally considered mentally ill and ordered to be psychologically evaluated.

Until the current presidency, the immigration policies of the United States were headed in the same direction. Even so, in certain areas, the beginnings of a Muslim ‘blitz’ are being seen.

Radical Islam

The state of Minnesota has the largest Muslim population in America. A recent near-riot at a public event there is one example of many demonstrating the rise of Islamofascism.

 

 

 

…violent fights erupted during Law enforcement appreciation day when the park was full of police officers and other members of law enforcement who received discounted tickets so that their families could enjoy the amusement park. An estimated 263 police officers responded to the fights inside the park, according to witnesses.  “This looked like a targeted attack on law enforcement,” Hallberg added.

The response of local officials in Shakopee, MN, and the media was to avoid mentioning the Somali Muslim connection to this disturbance.

Moreover, just over two years ago an ISIS-inspired knife attack in a central Minnesota mall received national attention. This man was also a Somali Muslim ‘refugee.’

Mobilization: A Strong and Righteous Counter-attack

Leftists and Islamists are both poised to launch blitzkrieg-type assaults on Western society. The forces are in place almost everywhere including the United States.

Australia, the European Union, South Korea and especially Israel are also key states where the West is targeted by these hostile forces.

The question is, ‘How can this be turned back?’ How are these destructive and hostile camps to be dealt with effectively?

What must be understood especially by those who follow Christ is that we are engaged in more than a physical struggle. We are involved in far more than a culture war.

God’s Word reveals that our society is most of all in a spiritual war. 

For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4 [ESV]

Perhaps the most powerful spiritual weapon is often the least used. That is the weapon of prayer.

The Powerful Weapon of Prayer

Praying handsI was a pastor for 20 years. Before that, I was involved in a men’s prayer group at our local church. Much to my chagrin, getting groups together to pray was a most difficult task.

I have heard it said that if you really wanted a church to yourself on Wednesday night, just announce a prayer meeting and you will get your wish. Sadly that is almost always true.

However, I also discovered that sincere prayer works. However, I don’t believe it works because ‘prayer changes things,’ as the saying goes.

It works because prayer changes us. It forces our attention beyond a list of requests to an encounter with God, and that is life-changing and miracle-working.

There is an abundance of evidence to support this, enough to fill entire volumes throughout the history of Christianity. A remarkable example of this is the story of George Mueller, who ran an orphanage solely using the power of prayer.

“The children are dressed and ready for school. But there is no food for them to eat,” the housemother of the orphanage informed George Mueller. George asked her to take the 300 children into the dining room and have them sit at the tables. He thanked God for the food and waited. George knew God would provide food for the children as he always did. Within minutes, a baker knocked on the door. “Mr. Mueller,” he said, “last night I could not sleep. Somehow I knew that you would need bread this morning. I got up and baked three batches for you. I will bring it in.” Soon, there was another knock at the door. It was the milkman. His cart had broken down in front of the orphanage. The milk would spoil by the time the wheel was fixed. He asked George if he could use some free milk. George smiled as the milkman brought in ten large cans of milk. It was just enough for the 300 thirsty children.

Mueller’s orphanage literally ran on this kind of schedule, and that example was the norm. Whatever was needed was prayed for and God provided it.

This began in 1836 and continued for almost 60 years. In that time over 10,000 orphans were cared for and 3,000 of them became ardent followers of Jesus.

A Modern Example of Prayer Power: 40 Days for Life

There is a modern example of a prayer campaign against abortion known as 40 Days for Life. The following video explains the power of prayer in this struggle and how it has been working.

The campaign began in College Station, Texas in 1998 and went nationwide in 2007. I have participated with other Christian brothers and sisters in local 40 Days for Life.

We pray in shifts at the entrance to the Planned Parenthood clinic every hour of every day for 40 days. That is the goal at all 40 Days campaigns.

Today, this remarkable prayer power spans the globe.

Hundreds of cities in dozens of countries across all six populated continents have now hosted 40 Days for Life campaigns. …Many cultures. Many time zones. Many languages. But one shared language of prayer.

The results have been stunning, to say the least. Since the campaign became national,

40 Days for Life participants report 14,636 lives saved from abortion during a campaign. That’s the type of impact that led an ACLU spokesperson to describe 40 Days for Life as the “greatest threat to choice.”

Almost 100 abortion clinics have closed their doors because of 40 Days prayer warriors. Moreover, at last count 172 abortion workers have come to Christ, left their jobs and are now pro-life.

Faithful Prayer is Critical

Jesus last prayerFocused, determined petitioning of God is critical in today’s world. We have noted the threats from Islamists and leftists against the West.

The damage already done by these adversaries is significant. But it can be repaired and the enemies defeated if we start by connecting with the Lord, and keeping our leaders strong and wise through prayer.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. I Timothy 2:1,2 [ESV]

America is fast approaching an important mid-term election. I believe it is a duty for Americans and especially Christians to vote.

Yet, if we do not reach out to our Lord in prayer for His help and guidance voting is useless. Moreover, if we do not pray for our nation and her leaders we are relying on the unsteady wisdom of men to rule without His aid.

U.S. ConstitutionAmerica’s founders realized this early during the birth pangs of the nation. One such point of crisis came during the forming of the Constitution.

The 1787 Constitutional Convention became deadlocked over how states were to be represented. The dispute was so harsh it seemed as if the Convention would fail.

No one could see any solution until delegate Ben Franklin stood up and spoke.

We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. …I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel …I therefore beg leave to move that, henceforth, prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven and its blessing on our deliberation be held in this assembly every morning before we proceed to business.

According to authors Peter Marshall and David Manuel, that speech was the factor which caused the delegates to strive with unity and complete the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

There is no better way to begin a nation than with dependence upon the Lord. We as believers need to be the first to recapture that discipline in our lives, our churches, and for America and the world.

Dust Off Your History Book

Recently, on social media, I read a post which sparked many emotions. This man, an apparent atheist, commented, “many founding fathers were atheists. This country was not built on religion”. I am setting out to discredit his ill-fated theory so dust off your history book and bible.

IN THE BEGINNING
Christianity grew out of Judaism and began as a sect in the mid-1st century. It quickly spread throughout Syria, Europe, Asia Minor, Mesopotamia, South Caucasus, Egypt, Ethiopia, and Asia. In the 15th-17th centuries, it expanded to the Americas, Oceana, and areas south of the Sahara Desert in Africa. But, its main roots have always been deep seeded as Roman Catholic. Off-shoots include the Catholic religion, Protestantism, the Eastern Orthodox, and Oriental Orthodoxy. These deities spread like wildfire with various degrees of resemblance to each other. But regardless of the divisions in religion, they all stay consistent to the same beliefs – Jesus is the Son of God, the savior of humanity whose coming as the Messiah (Christ) was prophesied in the Old Testament, and as described in the Bible. So the world grew based on standard spiritual beliefs.

DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
The founding fathers of the United States wrote the Declaration of Independence based on biblical principles. In fact, it was so controversial it could not be read aloud in public schools. Let’s briefly examine some of this document, and it’s coinciding history with the bible.

“Then in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.” Declaration of Independence

The Laws of Nature and Nature’s God was the exact expression of God’s will for all of creation in the bible, Romans 1 and 2.

 

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Declaration of Independence

God is our Creator and this is found in Isaiah 40:28; 1 Peter 4:19; Genesis 1:1, 27. He is the one who gave mankind all of their rights. Our forefathers believed in the book of Genesis and its underlying ideologies.

God is the giver of liberty:

“Now the LORD is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17

God gave to mankind the pursuit of happiness:

“That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil-this is the gift of God.” Ecclesiastes 3:13

 

“We, therefore, the Representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress, assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions….” Declaration of Independence

The statement above was taken directly from Judges 11:27. Only God can judge man when in the state of war:

“I have not wronged you, but you are doing me wrong by waging war against me. Let the LORD, the Judge, decide the dispute this day between the Israelites and the Ammonites.” Judges 11:27

 

“With a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives…” Declaration of Independence

The term ‘divine Providence’ is one of the oldest Christian teachings- it represented the heart of their belief in God; an ever-active, moment-by-moment governor of the universe.

“That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” Declaration of Independence

God blessed mankind with rights, but governments are “instituted” among men. The Bible makes this distinction:

“When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you and have taken possession of it and settled in it, and you say, “Let us set a king over us like all the nations around us,” Deuteronomy 17:14

 

In stark contrast to the atheist’s beliefs of our country, the Declaration of Independence reeks with the truths of the Bible. America is facing socialism today because many anti-Christians refuse to believe the underlying nature of the political platform the United States was built on in 1776.

 

THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
One final little piece of information I think is worth mentioning about the religious background of the United States. Francis J. Bellamy, 1855 – 1931, was a second-generation minister of the Christian Socialist Baptist Church. He penned the original Pledge of Allegiance for America. Though it had minor changes over the years, it remains the same as when Bellamy wrote it in 1892. The most significant change, however, was in our own generation of 1954. In response to communist threats, President Eisenhower urged Congress to include, “one nation under God.” He felt these words would add “spiritual weapons which will forever be our country’s most powerful resource.” Unfortunately, in this country’s diversity, the words are now disputed by those defending the separation of Church and State.

As I am barraged with atheist quotes and antics daily, let me ask everyone to pray for our government and its people who vote these dignitaries into office. Clueless of God’s existence, they play a large part in our country’s fundamental foundation today. Our administration passes new laws absconding God’s laws set forth in the bible, those which built this country into the great nation it is today. Though our founding fathers could not practice religion openly, they were not classified, atheists. Like it or not, they founded this country on Christian values and by the grace of God, it will stay that way.

President Donald Trump’s Address To United Nations General Assembly

“America is governed by Americans,” said President Trump in the high profile speech at the United Nations, “We reject the ideology of globalism and accept the doctrine of patriotism.”  He talked of America’s security concerns, these are with North Korea and Kim Jong Un.  Earlier this year the two leaders met in Singapore to bring denuclearization to the Korean Peninsula.  Trump’s other security issues are tensions with Iran and trade war with China.  He stated he had done more in his two years in office than any other administration In the history of the United States of America.

He listed his achievements as a booming economy, creating jobs and wealth, adding to manufacturing jobs, making a better life for all citizens, biggest tax cuts and reform and securing funds for the military.  He has also forged close relationship with many countries.

When Politicians Bring Their Kids To Work

Yesterday New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern made history as the first world leader to have her new born baby at a United Nations General Assembly in New York. Her partner Clarke Gayford held baby Neve Te Aroha.

Before this other politicians have taken their child to work too.  India’s Priyanka Vadra took her son Raihan to the Parliament as did Misa Bharti.

Japan’s Yuka Ogata had her seven- month- old Dogen with her in solidarity with Japanese mother’s who are struggling raising their children, so she was not surprised when male colleagues asked her to leave.

Swedish Member European  Parliament (MEP) Jytte Guteland brought her baby to a vote at the European Parliament to normalise a ‘child-friendly’ workplace.  Sometimes parents need to do this when necessary was Guteland’s opinion.

2009 may be the first time a baby was in the European Parliament.  Hanne Dahl’s husband couldn’t be in Brussels so she took her baby to work.

In a maternal gesture Italy’s MEP also took daughter Vittoria to work in 2010. It caused a stir so she decided this was a subject that needed discussing.

Austrian Senator Larisssa Waters made history when she breastfed her two-month- old daughter in Parliament and she posted a photograph on Twitter to say how proud she was.

Elevating Emotion and Marching Toward Slavery in America [Video]

Scales of justice should be balanced with evidence

The entire world has been witness to a disgraceful display during the hearings concerning Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The outrageous protests during the actual hearings contributed to a circus of Leftist anger cloaked in ridiculous costumes.

By this juncture of the Trump presidency, most observers have grown used to such clownish behavior. The fact that it can and does escalate to violence from the Left is also growing disturbingly common.

However, the depths of disgrace to which the Left can sink was not yet plumbed. That was revealed after the hearings were over and a vote for Kavanaugh was likely.

False and salacious accusations of sexual assault were then sprung by a Democratic Senator and a delay in the vote was demanded. It was the beginning of elevating emotion over reason and evidence to destroy a good man and a nation in the process.

Comparing Left and Right

I commented on this fiasco of a process in response to one of my favorite bloggers’ posts about the Kavanaugh hearings. In the comment, I noted that this kind of thing was never the case when a Democratic nominee for SCOTUS is up for approval.

However, one person took strong objection to that observation. She brought up the case of Merrick Garland from the Obama era saying that the delay and refusal to hold hearings was comparable to this salacious circus with Kavanaugh.

 

There is no moral equivalency here. The immoral behavior is ensconced firmly on the Democratic left, as they have demonstrated aptly since the 2016 election.

Garland wasn’t subjected to sensationalized examination of his high school yearbook. There was never an accusation of sexual assault or gang rape leveled at him.

Garland didn’t have threats leveled at his family. He wasn’t cursed at and mocked by protesters, some of whom were violent.

In short, Merrick Garland was never the target of personal character assassination by the Republicans. Nor would that have happened were hearings conducted for Garland’s nomination.

Credibility Is Not by Emotion Alone

The delay was to accommodate the accuser who at first insisted upon anonymity but then agreed to testify and tell her side of this “new” story. Actually, not so new, as the Senator actually had the written accusations in hand last July, two months prior to the hearings.

 

Senator FeinsteinIn the first place, this casts doubt on the sincerity of Senator Diane Feinstein of California. It seems apparent she wasn’t interested in even bringing this forward at all unless it needed to be used to stop Kavanaugh from becoming confirmed.

It is also evident that Feinstein had virtually no concern for the welfare of the accuser, Christine Blasey Ford. If she did, I wouldn’t know her name and neither would anyone else.

Moreover, this terrible farce will not serve to help real victims of sexual crimes. Instead, it will make it harder for accounts to be believed even if the stories are credible. So much for the Democrats helping women.

The media coverage almost unanimously characterized the Senate testimony of both the accuser and accused as “credible.” That is incorrect.

According to Dictionary.com, a credible statement is  “capable of being believed; believable.” What, then, determines whether or not a statement is believable?

Emotion alone cannot determine believability. Emotion can influence believability, but it cannot determine what a credible statement is.

Ms. Ford may have produced compelling testimony, but a lack of evidence voids its credibility. She could not recall the time or day or month the assault happened. She could only narrow it down to the summer of 1982, she thinks.

She wasn’t sure where the attack happened, just that it happened at a party at a house she can’t locate for anyone. She not sure who else was there, except perhaps one friend of Kavanaugh’s.

Before her testimony, Ms. Ford had never said she was absolutely sure she had been groped by Kavanaugh. During her testimony, she claimed a renewed surety that it was Kavanaugh.

Evidence Is Essential for Credibility

Justice with evidenceKavanaugh’s denial is not simply emotional, it is supported by real substance. His testimony presented evidence to bolster believability.

He produced his meticulously kept daily calendar for the summer of 1982, during high school. He also has sworn statements from his acquaintances to both his character and his activities in high school.

This is evidence which can be easily verified. Credibility, in this case, belongs to Kavanaugh and not Ms. Ford.

Unfortunately, the Senate Democrats have already accomplished one of their primary goals. Kavanaugh was to be seated after confirmation this past Monday but didn’t happen.

The new goal is to delay until the midterm elections. The legitimizing of feeling over fact here has made that goal within reach, and it could be the beginning of rampant injustice.

If emotion is given the power to make any accusation credible then the evidence is useless. If evidence becomes useless to determine guilt or innocence, anyone the powerful dislike can be accused and punished without any evidence.

All that is required is a finger pointed angrily toward an enemy with the words, “I accuse you of …” You pick the crime. It may begin with sexual violations, but it won’t stop there.

That describes the system of justice employed by the worst despotic regimes in history. Emotion overruling evidence has sent people to the Soviet Gulag and the Nazi concentration camps.

When emotion rules the day, a mere accusation is enough to condemn innocent people. In fact, we don’t have to look at history in other lands to see the process in operation.

Truth Is Not Male or Female

TruthThe new mantra since the #MeToo movement came to fruition is ‘I believe women.’ It means that women should automatically be believed when making allegations of sexual assault.

Why is this the case? Because society has been assured that no woman would lie about such a terrible crime against their person.

However, most people know this is not reality. After all, there are famous cases of women making false accusations of sexual crimes in America, and men suffering unjustly as a consequence.

Take, for example, the infamous case of false rape allegations against the Duke Men’s Lacrosse team in 2006. This video from 2007 gives an accurate account of what really happened.

Both the media and the Duke professors quickly jumped to the accuser’s side and aided and abetted the public destruction of innocent men.

All of the accused players are involved with the Innocence Project, which uses DNA evidence to overturn wrongful convictions. Said Reade Seligmann, upon his exoneration:
“This entire experience has opened my eyes to a tragic world of injustice I never knew existed. If police officers and a district attorney can systematically railroad us with absolutely no evidence whatsoever, I can’t imagine what they’d do to people who do not have the resources to defend themselves.”

Lest we forget another case closer in time, there are the false rape allegations at the University of Virginia in 2014. What began as a Rolling Stone article about a gang rape on campus ended up with a lawsuit against the magazine by the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.

The truth is that women lie and men lie about all kinds of things, including sexual assault. That is the reason facts, evidence, witnesses, and corroboration are required or injustice will pave the path to slavery.

Elevating Emotion Over Evidence is Extremely Dangerous

False idea of guiltDisregarding evidence in favor of emotional testimony is an extremely dangerous practice. The setting doesn’t have to be in a courtroom to make it so hazardous.

The court of public opinion is perhaps worse than a legal venue. That is because the public arena has far fewer rules than a court of law.

The only regulation in a free and open society which prevents an injustice is self-regulation. Unless one exercises restraint, laws are just words on paper.

If emotion overwhelms self-restraint, any law can and will be broken. Moreover, anyone can be severely hurt and not just physically.

The destruction of a person’s reputation and livelihood can be even more damaging than physical attacks. As someone once asked, “Where do you go to get your reputation back?”

The potential of this public attitude is truly a cause for great alarm. If the people become convinced that the accused is not ‘innocent until proven guilty’ it will be because evidence has been jettisoned by emotion.

When that happens, individuals in power that oppose the Socialist Left will be targeted and accused of some egregious behavior in order to be rid of them. After that is successful a few times, groups of adversaries will also have accusations aimed at them.

Some of the targeted groups will have formerly favored the Left’s agenda of Socialism. However, they will be taken down also because of their lack of fervor for eliminating the opposition.

Eventually, the majority will adjust to a society of J’accuse. They will be properly primed to grant authority to someone who will remake America into a third-world nation.

Accusing fingerAnyone who objects will have an accusatory finger pointed at them, and their family and friends. They will all be eliminated one way or another.

The fear of this will pervade the culture. The nation will be reduced to two groups. Those who go along with the government masters, and those who refuse.

Those who refuse will also consist of two groups. Those who run and hide or those who are punished.

Then, a nation that was once the wonder of the world and the flagship of freedom will fall. The Left’s march toward slavery will be complete.

That is why the power of the emotional accusation is so dangerous and goes far beyond the Kavanaugh hearings fiasco. Because if the Left can triumph here, they can and will attempt greater action to advance their evil.
