Forgetting to “Never Forget” 9/11 [Video]

9Those who were of the age of perhaps 8 or 9 and up at the time can probably remember where they were on the Tuesday morning of September 11, 2001, when the first plane crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York. I was considerably older at that time and I precisely recall where I was when I heard the news.

I was in my office at the First Baptist Church when I heard the unbelievable over the radio. I rushed home and spent the rest of the day in front of the television watching the horrible scenes unfold.

The attacks on New York were followed by another plane crashing into the Pentagon building, and another terrorist attempt on United Airlines flight 93 that was foiled by valiant passengers who gave their lives in defense of others.

I also vividly remember the reaction of America and much of the world in the aftermath of those horrendous attacks. The united expression of rage and resolve coalesced around two words, NEVER FORGET!

We were never going to forget the lives snuffed out by Jihadist terrorists. We were never going to forget to meet this terrible enemy with both decisive military force and civil vigilance.

We were never going to forget that this was an attack against American liberty and unity. And we were never going to forget our need of Christian faith and values to stand with God against our newest and deadliest enemies.

How has the nation fared in keeping the vows so sincerely given 18 years ago? In many ways, it appears we are forgetting to ” never forget” 9/11.

Forgetting the Enemy

9/11To be clear, America has not completely forgotten who the enemy is and the danger they present. However, I fear we have been moving rapidly in that direction.

By comparison, ask if in 2001 there would have been hundreds of Muslims around America running for Congressional offices in the next election. Moreover, could a member of Congress have had the temerity to proudly state that she represents the Palestinians?

Or could blatantly anti-Semitic statements on the floor of Congress by a Muslim Congresswoman not be specifically condemned 18 years ago? Could the wholesale promotion of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions [BDS] policy be seen on Capitol Hill in 2001 as it is today?

What about the current aspirations of the Muslim community in America? They are ambitious and I daresay would have been unthinkable in 2001.

For example, note the enthusiasm of fellow Muslim Rep. Andre Carson [D. IN].

During a speech at a welcoming event hosted by CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, he said, “It’s more than just about having three Muslims in Congress… I won’t rest until 2020 we have five more members of Congress; 2022 and 24 we have 10 more Muslims in Congress. In 2030 we may have about 30, 35 Muslims in Congress.” He went on to name the heights of Muslim ambition in the United States,  “…we could be saying Speaker of the House Ilhan, Speaker of the House Rashida, Senator Rashida, Governor Ilhan, President Fatima, Vice President Aziza. Inshallah (Allah willing).”

It should be mentioned that the reactions to the 9/11 attacks didn’t stop at the borders of America. Nations around the globe joined in solidarity with sympathetic gestures, prayers and many individuals in tears over the reports of the Islamic terrorism which took the lives of over 3,000 people.

However, the interim of almost two decades has also radically changed the tune of many of those same nations, especially those from the continent of Europe. In 2001, it would have been unimaginable to most that London would have a Muslim mayor, and that Germany would be housing hundreds of thousands of Islamic migrants to the detriment of their citizenry, and in recent years have agreed to take in thousands more.

Of course, we should also not forget that there were enemies of America who rejoiced at the heinous attacks of 9/11. A celebration of Palestinians dancing in the streets after the attacks was recorded by an AP reporter, but has never been released after threats from terror groups and Palestinian officials.

Here are the facts, all of which are matters of public record. On the afternoon of Sept. 11, 2001, thousands of jubilant Palestinians took to the streets, chanting “God is great,” firing automatic weapons and handing out sweets to passers-by. The largest demonstration took place in Nablus in the West Bank, where some 3,000 marchers danced and cheered as guerrillas fired assault rifles and grenades into the air. Many journalists were on the scene, but they were forcibly detained in a hotel by armed Palestinian security forces to prevent coverage of the rally. One cameraman — a freelance AP reporter — nevertheless managed to film some of the celebration. …The next day, members of Tanzim, the military arm of Fatah, physically threatened the cameraman and warned AP not to air the material. A cabinet secretary for the Palestinian government told the Associated Press that the government could not “guarantee the life” of the cameraman if the film were broadcast.

Forgetting Unity and Liberty

One of the iconic images from the aftermath of 9/11 was an impromptu event symbolizing American unity as a free nation to combat the forces of terrorism arrayed against us. The leaders of the House of Representatives and the Senate along with most of the members gathered before the press on the steps of the Capitol building. After speaking and a moment of silence, someone in the group began singing “God Bless America,” and everyone else joined in to make a beautiful, patriotic chorus as depicted in this rather blurry video.

However, in 2019, any American unity against Islamic radicalism seems like a nostalgic wish from antiquity. In fact, unity on almost any issue in America is virtually impossible.

Even the suggestion of a unified spirit of patriotism in America is dismissed by Leftists as “nationalist” and therefore their conception of the essence of evil. Patriotic unity against Jihadists is being characterized as ‘racism’ or a close substitute term like ‘white nationalist’ by the Left today.

Liberty is also being increasingly forgotten in our time since 9/11/2001. This is seen with increasing fervor in the social media arena.

9/11The Left’s influence in this area has consistently attempted to silence those who disagree with Islamists, branding them as ‘Islamophobic.’ This has emboldened the Jihadists online to advance their cause even more especially with legions of Twitter and Facebook users adoringly following Muslim members of Congress.

In 2019, the Left is an amalgamation of various ‘identity’ groups that includes radical Muslims as a favored minority in America. The situation ‘across the pond’ for essential liberty is far worse as Muslims are swiftly on the way to becoming the majority group in large European nations.

One of the inevitable after-effects of that development is the alarming rise in the very real violence and crime in areas of Muslim power such as “no-go zones.” Take these recent examples from the Socialist ‘paradise’ of Sweden which is being colonized by Muslims.

“Due to a lack of police officers, several no-go ‘vulnerable areas’ in Sweden have been forced to hire security guards in an effort to combat crime and violence.” It’s no mystery why there is a lack of police officers. Three years ago, Jihad Watch reported that 80% of Swedish police were considering quitting their jobs because of the dangers posed by Muslim migrants, and it has gotten much worse.

The United States could face the same reality of the influx and influence of Muslim communities. It is how one Representative Tlaib [D. MI] could even be elected to Congress and then accomplish recently meeting with anti-Semitic Jihadists in Dallas, Texas.

Rep. Rashida Tliab (D., MICH.) recently met with a controversial pro-Palestinian organization that has encourage violence against Isreal, justified the use of terrorism against the Jewish state, and has called for the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers, according to onliine postings on social media. Tlaib, who has been under fire for her  hatred of Israel and support for the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement was pictured meeting with members of the Palestine Youth Movement during the Arab Texas Festival held recently in Dallas. The PYM organization is known for its vitriolic rhetoric against Insraelis and Jews and has been caught in the past glorifying the leaders of anti-Semitic terrorist organizations.

Forgetting our unity and liberty as Americans is a horrendous error in the face of the threat which struck with such force on September 11,2001. However, it would be far worse if the nation continued to forget the Christian faith and values which formed the foundation for our republic.

Forgetting Christian Faith and Values

9/11

This cross-like beam from North Tower of WTC found two days after 9/11. Now at the WTC Museum.

The most fundamental forgetting we are experiencing is the importance of America’s roots in Christian faith and values. That’s because this is a battle which strikes at the soul of the nation.

The importance and influence of Christianity upon America’s founding cannot be emphasized enough, as has been noted in this journal on numerous occasions. From the roots of the Christian faith and values which they inculcate has grown the greatest, most prosperous and freest nation ever known to humankind.

Full disclosure requires mentioning that the denigration of Christian faith and its values had been occurring in America and the western world for quite some time before 9/11/2001. It is likely this has served to weaken the foundations of the nation before the full expression of Jihadists hatred was unleashed on that morning 18 years ago.

It is good and right that we have days of remembrance for events of such importance to civilization both in the United States and worldwide. However, it is foolish to forget the danger that is still present in our midst.

Instead, we must cling with renewed intensity to the unity, liberty, Christian faith, and values which stand as foundational supports for our blessed America. Only then can we recognize and combat the enemy both without and within our hearts and homes.

Finally, as followers of Jesus, we must engage in the fight on the spiritual plane and enlist the aid of our LORD in the battle against the Islamic hordes of modern times. We must call upon our God for true and lasting victory.

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 [ESV]

The “Overlord” Factor: 75 Years Later [Video]

The 'Overlord' Factor: 75 Years Later

Landing on Omaha beach in Normandy, June 6, 1944

Thursday, June 6, 2019, marks the 75th anniversary of D-Day, the invasion of Europe by the Allied forces in World War II. That monumental battle, code-named “Operation Overlord,” was the definitive turning point which led to the total defeat of Hitler’s Third Reich less than one year later.

The invasion was the result of many months of meticulous planning combined with fortuitous events both in the battlefield arena and the political atmospheres of both the Allied and Axis powers. The victory at the beaches of Normandy was also the result of incredible valor by the warriors who fought against the heinous enemy, thousands of whom gave their lives and are today memorialized on those very beaches.

However, with all of these factors put together, on the very eve of launching this enormous attack, it looked like “Overlord” might not be carried out at all. It required a last-minute and very small window of a mini-weather-miracle for “D-Day” to go forward.

The Planning, Peril, and Politics of “Overlord”

D-Day

Planning for the D-Day invasion formerly began in June of 1943, after the May 1943 “Trident Conference.” Prior to then, there was much disagreement between British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and American President Franklin Roosevelt about launching an invasion at all.

Churchill at first did not favor a massive invasion force taking the fight directly to Hitler’s forces. He instead wanted to conduct a campaign of smaller attacks against the Nazis from the sea.

The Trident Conference in May 1943 featured another confrontation over the invasion of Europe. This time, Roosevelt got his way (for the most part): Churchill committed Britain to an invasion of France by May 1944. There was little to the agreement other than a very loose timetable and the questions of who, where, how and when were left very open.

However, the cooperation between the allies, especially when dealing with Russia as the other large country against the Axis powers, was initially rocky at best. The one, unshakeable factor that united them all was summed up by Roosevelt’s announcement at the Casablanca Conference in January of 1943.

FDR made a surprise declaration at the conference that this war would only end with the “unconditional surrender,” of Germany. Both Churchill and Stalin agreed with that goal.

The third nation of the Axis, Italy, had already begun to crumble and later in 1943, they would surrender. This made both the opportunity and urgency for an invasion paramount.

A successful landing and foothold in France would force Hitler into a two-front war. An eventual allied victory was assured from that point on.

The Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe, American General Dwight D. Eisenhower, was responsible for the military planning and execution of “Operation Overlord.” The success of the plan was basically dependant on two things.

It had to be a surprise attack, and it had to be an attack with overwhelming force. How the D-Day invasion was planned and conducted is summarized well in the following video from Prager University.

The Legacy of D-Day

The legacy of D-Day is multi-faceted to be sure, however, perhaps the most important facet is discovered by something President Roosevelt had in mind when he determined that Germany must submit to “unconditional surrender.”

Roosevelt pushed for unconditional surrender to avoid the political mixup that followed the First World War. In 1918 Germany sued for peace on the basis of Woodrow Wilson’s Fourteen Points, but the Versailles Treaty proved much harsher. This fostered the “stab in the back” myth in Germany that helped bring Hitler to power. Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin agreed that this time the Germans should have no illusions and no excuses.

D-DayWorld War II was the first truly worldwide war. Every continent was touched even if not directly attacked during the conflict, which was not the case during the First World War.

It was also a ‘last of its kind’ war, in several ways. One; WWII was the last war in which America participated that could claim a complete and decisive victory.

Two; WWII was the last declared war America has fought. Three; It was the last war before the creation of the United Nations.

By the way, I don’t believe those three are unconnected, especially considering the current nature of the U.N. Finally, WWII was the first, last, and only war requiring the use of nuclear weapons to secure its end.

World War II began only 21 years after the end of the First World War! It has now been almost 75 years and counting since the end of the Second World War.

While that is a good piece of news, it should not deceive us. Terrible, though smaller, conflicts all over the globe are still happening.

Moreover, for the past two decades, we have been both fighting against and witness to horrific jihadist terror campaigns worldwide. No, WWII did not teach us to never fight in a war again.

Perhaps the greatest legacy of D-Day is what I call the “Overlord” factor. The invasion was the first action to back up the statement that only unconditional surrender was acceptable and only a complete allied victory would rightly end the war.

Any other result cheapened the sacrifice of blood spent on the battlefield. War is too serious and destructive to be conducted hoping the enemy will negotiate.

Which is why war must only be considered after all other alternatives are exhausted, including negotiation. The single acceptable negotiation in a real war is the surrender of the enemy.

D-Day put feet to the axiom of General Douglas MacArthur that in war,

There is no substitute for victory.

Many of us might never see the likes of another worldwide conflict in our lifetimes. However, I feel confident that another “world war” is coming and it will truly be the ‘war to end all wars,’ for it will mark the return of Christ and the ultimate final victory over the enemy of our souls.

The nations raged, but your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear your name, both small and great, and for destroying the destroyers of the earth.” Revelation 11:18 [ESV]

The Left and Islamofascism, A Strange and Troubling Alliance: Part Four, Origins and Opponents [Video]

Islamofascism. Leftism

The first three parts of this critical series chronicled the alliance of the modern Leftist movements with Islamofascism in illegal immigration, politicsculture, and religion worldwide. This final part provides the answer to an unspoken question lurking in the background, “How did these seemingly disparate groups unite at all?”

The answer is found by examining the historical origins of both Islam and the Left. Within those origins will be discovered the most important factor that both groups hold in common and is an ancient and persistent enemy of both ideologies.

Origins of the Modern Left

Leftism, IslamofascismThe political and social Left as it is today has roots which stretch back to 1848, the date Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels published The Communist Manifesto. That document formed the basis for socialist thought which survives in the Leftist camp to this day.

In it, the two philosophers depicted all of history as a series of class struggles (historical materialism), and predicted that the upcoming proletarian revolution would sweep aside the capitalist system for good, making the workingmen the new ruling class of the world.

What Marx and Engels foresaw was not simply another revolution that toppled a tyrant. They saw a historical war between the economic and social ‘high’ and ‘low’ classes in which the low socio-economic class or proletariat upending the high socio-economic class called the bourgeoisie.

The object of this theoretical Marxist revolution was not the replacement of the bourgeoisie with the working class. It was instead the elimination of all economic class distinction by restricting access to capital to the state, i.e. the government.

Under this system, the government owns or controls the means of producing wealth, and redistributes the funds of those companies to the people regardless of the production of the individual worker. In theory, this means that the government takes “from each according to his ability,” and distributes the wealth produced, “to each according to his need.”

The huge economic problem with Marx and his followers’ scenario is that the government is not a real producer of wealth, it is a consumer of it. The big social problem is that Socialism disregards the individual and dismisses the capacity of the state to tend toward tyranny.

The most infamous disciple of Marx put his plan into action on a nationwide scale. Vladimir Lenin led the way almost 100 years after Marx was born with the Russian revolution of 1917.

This revolution created the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the USSR. The USSR fell apart after seven decades and the slaughter of 30 to 50 million of its own citizens trying to keep their Socialist Union afloat.

During the entirety of that period, the Left both praised and excused the Soviet Union for their tyranny. In fact, one of the current Democratic crop of presidential candidates, Senator Bernie Sanders [I-VT], was so enamored by the USSR that he spent his honeymoon in Moscow and came back with glowing reviews about his time there.

Sanders, along with the entirety of the Left in society, is still hopelessly in love with the Marxist-Leninist ideology. Like the battered spouse who insists there is nothing wrong with their abuser, Leftists cannot admit their adored Socialism is a fatally flawed system.

The most recent example of this is playing out before our eyes in Venezuela. Once the richest nation in South America, after two decades it has been reduced to a country of starving people who are in revolt against a corrupt dictator.

There are many reasons for the fact that Socialism itself is flawed and that Leftists are unable to admit this. Overall the socio-economic theory of Marx doesn’t comprehend economic law nor human fallenness, thus its failure is inherent in the system.

The Origins of Islamofascism

Islam came into being when Muhammed,

a member of the Arabic Quraish tribe from the West-Central part of the Arabian Peninsula in the region of present-day Mecca. …He claimed to receive a revelation from the archangel Gabriel in AD 610 to be a prophet to the Arabic peoples promoting monotheism and a belief in Allah.

Islamofascism, LeftismThe ‘revelation’ resulted in the writing of the Koran, the definitive holy book of Islam. The term Islamofascism doesn’t refer to the belief system but rather to the means of spreading this religious ideology.

From the beginning, Islam was spread primarily through conquest and forced ‘conversion.’ Muhammad began with the conquest of Mecca in AD 630, an event which is the basis for the holiday month of Ramadan.

Islam’s founder died just two years later. He never named a successor, which led to the divisions of Islam into certain sects, namely the Shia and Sunni branches.

Thus, Muhammad never saw the full extent of the Islamic conquest at its peak. That came many centuries later from AD 661 through AD 1922, over 1,300 years duration and through “Five Great Islamic Empires”.

During a part of this period, the land mass controlled by Islam grew to its peak and reached from India through all of the Middle East and Northern Africa, portions of eastern Europe and all of Spain. However, according to scholars, the greatest of the Islamic empires was the last, the Ottoman Empire.

A variety of reasons are given for designating the Ottoman Empire as the greatest of Islamic history, chief among them the fact that it lasted over 600 years, the longest period of any Islamic empire. The Ottoman Empire also bears the most importance and relevance to the current time.

That importance was achieved in 1453 with the Muslim conquest of Constantinople. Constantinople was the capital and greatest city of the Christian Byzantine Empire, a result of the Roman Empire splitting into West [Rome] and East [Byzantium], divisions centuries before.

The city was named after Emperor Constantine of Rome [AD 306-337], the first Imperial ruler to embrace Christianity. By 1453, the Western Empire had fallen and Constantinople was the last refuge of Christendom to hold out against Islam’s threat.

The city was an almost impregnable fortress of immense size that was only capable of being taken by siege over a prolonged period. It had survived multiple attempts by Muslim forces over hundreds of years before its final defeat.

The fall of Constantinople marked a period of almost 500 years of continuous control over all of the Middle East including present-day Israel and the second most important Christian city of the ancient world which is now Istanbul, the capital of Turkey.

Between the Left and Islamofascism, there is virtually no agreement on ideals and beliefs, with one large exception. Both have expressed hatred of Judaism and Christianity since the times of Marx and Muhammad.

Leftists and Islamofascists have always despised Judaism and Christianity

Islamofascism, Leftism

From the outset, the Marxist-Leninist Left has had no true place for religious belief in its philosophy and action. One could legitimately worship God as long as the place and practice were government approved.

The reason such ‘pure’ Socialism has for marginalizing faiths such as Judaism and Christianity is simple. Under a truly Marxist regime, no entity but the government can be recognized as the ultimate authority.

In the old Soviet Union, this was played out using government persecution to brutally shut down any Christian church not approved by the USSR. This is not as pervasive presently since the fall of the Iron Curtain after the Cold War.

However, in China, the repression of religion other than state approved is still rigorously enforced. This includes the repression even of the practice of Islam, as recent reports have shown.

The Chinese and North Korean regimes are harsh in particular to Christians. According to Soon Ok Lee, who escaped from North Korea after being imprisoned, Christians are referred to as “tailless animals” among the prison staff and are subjected to the harshest treatment in the prisons.

They were beaten more often than other prisoners and yet halfway through the beatings Soon saw that many believers:

would stand up… and begin to sing hymns and say, ‘Amen.’ The guards thought they were crazy and took them back to the electric torture room. I never saw any of the believers return from that room.

Islamofascism has no less of a heinous record of persecuting both Judaism and Christianity around the globe. Islamic law relegates both Jews and Christians to the status of enemies or within Islamic nations to second-class citizens known as dhimmi.

Islamofascism, LeftismThe obvious adversarial relationship between Islamic expansionists and the nation of Israel is ample evidence of Muslim animosity toward Judaism. That is why whenever one observes a large protest for ‘Palestinian liberation,’ one will also notice a sign or more declaring “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”

To accomplish that goal, Israel would have to be removed from the map. Islamofascists see that goal as an imperative since Israel was once under Islamic rule.

Islamic ideology teaches that any place where Islam ever ruled is by divine right Islamic land forever. Therefore it is the duty of all faithful Muslims to wage Jihad to reclaim that land.

Nor are Christians less in danger from Islamofascism, for persecution on a massive scale, is taking place today against followers of Christ. The numbers are difficult to calculate with precision, but in the 44 Muslim majority nations worldwide today, there are approximately 56 million Christians and the vast majority are being severely persecuted in various ways.

Moreover, since Islam is an ideology espousing world domination, the globe is divided by Muslims into two parts. Dar-al-Islam [House of Islam] refers to lands already under Muslim control, while Dar-al-Harb [House of war] labels the rest of the world.

The modern alliance between the Left and Islamofascism has a strong motivation against the Judeo-Christian philosophies and beliefs which are central to Western civilization. While both groups are serious threats on their own, the overall danger for the West comes more from Islamofascism than Leftism.

That’s because the Left in places such as Europe and America somehow believe that aligning with Islamofascists will never negatively affect them. However, it is certain that the radical Muslims entrenched in Western countries will as easily enslave Leftists as anyone else after the hated Jews and Christians have been eliminated.

A recent prayer request from the “Voice of the Martyrs” organization gives an individual example of what all believers could face should Islamofascists work their will upon us.

Joy Danlami was on her way home from a Christian festival in Nasarawa state with her younger siblings on March 23, 2019, when a group of Fulani Islamic militants attacked them. Her brother and sister escaped with gunshot and machete wounds, but 19-year-old Joy was raped and killed. The Fulani attackers continued on to Joy’s village, where they burned 17 homes and two church buildings. They then attacked a nearby village, burning 11 more homes and two more church buildings. Please pray for Joy’s family and for the hundreds of other Christians displaced or otherwise affected by these attacks.

This is one of the factors making Islamofascism the most dangerous ideology on earth. In the following video, the presenter calls this ‘Islamism.’

As Mr. Ibrahim notes, though the threat is severe, there is hope if the free people of the world can recognize and fight against Islamofascism. However, until the Left removes its own blinders and bigotry against the Judeo-Christian foundations of freedom, that hope remains over the horizon.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17 [ESV]

The Ides of Suspicion

The ides of March are upon us and superstitions of March 15th run rampant across many nations. Thank you, Julius Caesar, for suggesting this as a bad luck day… or is it really superstitious? Senators assassinated this “dictator for life,” on the steps of the Curia of Pompey for in 44 B.C., Romans had no love for kings. Since Caesar’s death, March has a notorious history of haunting generation after generation, especially in the political arena.

The assassination of Julius Caesar

On March 15, 1917, Czar Nicholas II was forced to abdicate his throne just four days before the February Revolution in Russia. Also on this day in 1944, King Louis XV of France declared war on Britain. In the United States, ironically, our Pentagon Joint Chiefs of Staff appear to favor the month of March for military operations too. The US dispatched ground troops to Vietnam on March 8, 1965, starting the beginning of the Vietnam War. In fact, March 15, 1972, was considered one of the heaviest days of attacks during this conflict; the US destroyed a major North Vietnamese camp and thirty troops. The war on Iraq was launched on March 20, 2003. A covert war on Syria began March 15, 2011, while NATO began relentlessly bombing Libya just four days later. On the date of March 19, 2003, the United States launched an attack against Iraq to topple dictator Saddam Hussein from power.

Other significant non-war related incidents which occurred in March was the beating of Rodney King in Los Angeles on March 15, 1991; the Boston Massacre which began March 5, 1770, and Texas’s Fort Alamo fell to Mexican troops on March 6, 1836. Remember the stories of the Great Blizzard of 1888 which struck the northeastern United States? The storm happened on March 12th dumping over 40 inches of snow and causing four hundred deaths. As fate dictates for the ides of March, the newly elected President Ronald Reagan was shot in the chest while walking toward his limousine in Washington, D.C. It was the 30th of March in 1981.

Proverbs 3:25-36

Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your feet from being snared.

Another oddity is some states will not hold elections on the 15th of March. But in a couple of weeks, on Super Tuesday, five states are having mid-term polls, now considered a “bad luck day” by both opponents.

The ides (division) of March – superstition or valid? I know superstitions are not based on a godly belief system. They are created by people embracing the supernatural. Only God is omniscient-all knowing. We are to be holy in our relationship with God, not falling into false beliefs and practices. Yes, it seems many nations, including the United States, has a history of horrible events which occurred in March; perhaps it’s just coincidental. Ultimately, our great Father is in control of all situations so let us pray for all our nations today.

Child soldiers

I am happy I found this post by Efi about Red Hand Day. The day is past but let us get what Efi shared on that day.

We need to stop this abuse.

Have you ever heard of

Child Soldiers lnternational?

What can we do to put an end to this evil practice? Children should neither be misused or misguided. It is evil.

Gunshots (quote)

I was expressing surprise and my inability to understand how hailstones could be falling on roofs when there was no rain just to be told that they were rather gunshots in the war raging on in our city. How we are living here is God alone who knows. But rooted in him, we will survive. I have no fear and no doubt.” (Romilia Quotes)

Strongly worded letter to warmongers

Dear warmongers,

The world is tired of your greedy wars. Put an end to this devilish act. Don’t you care that people are dying in their numbers?

What is all this fighting for? Can’t we live in peace like brothers and sisters? Why can we not be just to one another?

We, the people are fed up. We are tired. Very tired of your actions, warmongers.

Put a stop to it.
