SUCCESS is getting what you want…HAPPINESS is wanting what you get… ❤
“The things that makes your heart beat faster and your eyes glow when you do it or talk about it, no matter if it’s hiking, yoga, gardening, painting, meditation, love, photography, going for walks, helping others – do that. Do it as often as you can. Because that’s what life is about. Creating as many passionate, happy moments as possible. Don’t let anyone stop you from doing the things you love – not even yourself.”
I have seen many bloggers who have very nice blogs as well as more than 500 followers. But their nice blogs get only 2-3 numbers ‘likes’ and may be few numbers ‘views’. I wondered. So nice post it is! Then why does he/she gets so less viewers? After thinking a while, I got the answers.…

When someone is taking two-three months leave from his/her office, colleagues remember him/her till the time colleagues are dependent on him/her for the office works. When there is no dependancy for work, colleagues forget him/her. When you continue your writing, commenting on other’s blogs, you have interaction with other bloggers. As soon as you will stop writing and stop commenting, other bloggers will forget you.….
Everyone in the world likes some motivation and encouragement. And as for ‘e-writing’, likes are crucial for getting you going.
You know young blood, blogging and, writing in general is pretty hard. Really.
And for an extremely lazy oaf like me, it’s like the world is
constantly elbowing you with all it’s might. For the last 3 weeks I was
overwhelmed with all the likes and comments that my blog got in ‘Success
Inspirers’ World’ (they’ve changed their site design and its pretty
So after this ‘incident’ (you gotta keep it casual, stop crying
goddammit), I was really out of ideas for writing a good blog. AGAIN. I
know that I say that all the time, but now I really do mean it. I
started to write like 3 poems, but I couldn’t finish them. This is the
stage of something that I like to call ‘Boy was I wrong about starting
But with a brave heart and few youtube videos, I pulled myself
together to write something. And the end result was, as you guessed, me
searching books that I would wanna read. Still no progress. So, I started to ask the people I knew, about ideas to write about. Still no convincing idea. So,
I asked my friend Arvind, (he is a goddang genius) and he listed some
ideas that he liked. I wasn’t sure about it though. So, I didn’t write a
blog about the ideas that he listed. But half an hour before, I was
ranting about how I was feeling about not having an idea to write about.
Then suddenly, he said, ‘Why can’t you write about this- this feeling?’
And you should have seen my face then, it was just like a kid who
opened a present.
BUT, it could just have been put up in 2 words: Goddang painful. So, I was thinking of some other idea that could have this ‘feeling’ in it. And I started to read my older blogs. Then I quickly saw the likes I got from the poem ‘The power of music’. Then I got it.
I wanted to just give some ‘advice’. You might be wondering , ’Why do
people like only like 1 of my blog and not notice the others?’ and why
likes are just illusions that trick you into writing blogs just for
them. The answer lies below.
They don’t give
a crap about your content, they just do it for followers. UwU.
What a wonderful and exciting year we had in 2018! God
blessed us with so many things, it is hard to name them all. Let me begin with
our blog… danabicksauthor.com.
This year, we jumped to an astounding 20.6 million
followers in 29+ countries around the world. It even crashed our personal website
twice! My wife and I have met so many terrific people through the blog,
Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Renowned famous names are now taking a ride
with us and communicating regularly. It proves my point everyone is looking for
something to fill a small hole within themselves. In April and September, once
again, Feedspot named our blog a “Top 30 Inspirational Blog in the World”; and Instagram
also called it a Top 20 Inspirational Blog.
In 2019, our blog will be redesigned again and running
from its own server. We will also begin a Weekly Newsletter to be emailed to
all those who sign up for our latest news and blogs. You can find the email
sign up box at the bottom of the blog and on the Facebook page – Dana Bicks,
It was a rough start for my first book, There In God’s Grace. From March through
July, it went through the hands of three very large publishers whose only agenda
was to change sentences and words to make it more “politically” correct. These
narratives are my miracles and struggles, and to alter it would have been
a terrible injustice. So, after praying for answers, my wife and I decided to self-publish
and incorporate our own publishing company, Bicks Books, LLC.
We finally released
There In God’s Grace to the public on September 27, 2018, with wonderful
reviews! It can be found everywhere in the world, in every bookstore, and
online. Thank you to all our vendors who made it possible. This includes
Integrative Ink, Ingram Press, and Amazon who has it rated a five-star book
with a ranking in the top 20% of all their book sales. It is a bestseller on
Kobo which is an international site for ebooks. Thank you most of all to our
readers and followers who placed it at the top. Without your support, none of
this would be possible!
For the new year, 2019, Anne and I are revising my thirteen
children’s book series, “Dr. Peacock and Friends.” New story lines based on
Christian morals and values will be the theme to inspire and entertain kids of
all ages. We expect releasing them at the end of 2019 along with backpacks,
coloring books, cups, and other items.
Yes, this has been a fantastic year for danabicksauthor.com. We sincerely hope you will continue to follow us and share God’s messages with everyone. Stay tuned for our changes coming soon and feel free to send your thoughts!
Happy New Year and may God bless your many days ahead!
