Amazon Selling Your Counterfeited Books

I made a brief post on Facebook yesterday concerning Amazon selling forged and counterfeit books. To all my author friends, as well as myself who is an author, I am greatly concerned about this matter. I am listing two links below which flagged me to this prevalent and on-going problem with Amazon.

https://www.christianpost.com/news/christian-author-asks-for-help-prayers-after-amazon-sells-240k-worth-of-fake-copies-of-her-book.html?uid=eed40a5d7b

and

I strongly believe this has happened to me and it is now under investigation. In order to force Amazon to set in place a policing law, a Class-Action lawsuit should be filed against them. I am urging all authors, whether you are represented by a publisher or are self-published, to PLEASE investigate your sales! How do you go about it?

Look at your sales charts in Author Central in Amazon. Though these charts are not entirely accurate, do you see sales but have not received royalty money? This is a red flag.

On your Amazon listing, notice the books being sold at a discounted price. Most counterfeit books are sold in this category.

Start to order a copy of your books from different vendors who are selling your book, especially if they are being sold at a deep discount.

Have you received comments from people who purchased your book who said there were spelling errors, incorrect page numbers, or other complaints? This is a red flag!

Counterfeiting is done not only with physical books but by e-books too. Be sure to check those as well.

When you receive the copies of your books from different vendors, compare them closely to your original copy. Counterfeiting is performed by a computer scanning the original script. As a result, page numbers are often incorrect, there may be smudges in the book, colors are often incorrect, and spelling errors are very prevalent throughout the book. If your book won an award, very often the award is not produced on counterfeit books.

If you know you, too, are a victim of counterfeit book sales, I ask you to consider joining us in a Class Action lawsuit against Amazon. The more authors who bind together, the larger the legal action will be and the better the results. Amazon is a giant, but we are hiring a very high-profile attorney who will not only file a lawsuit but will also place this matter into the public eye. It’s the only way to prevent counterfeiting of our future books!

Peasants of the Fields: The Pentecost

Have you ever noticed the corners of grain or vegetable fields after the farmer plows them? Look closely the next time you pass one and see they are left uncut. It’s strange, but this tradition started in biblical days, and it dates back to the Jewish Feast of Weeks, which begins exactly fifty days after Passover. Today, June 9th marks the 2019 celebration better known as the Pentecost. Yes, I know what you are thinking – Pentecost(al) is a sect of religion who speak in tongues and follow the Holiness Movement. However, Pentecost Sunday commemorates the receiving of the Holy Spirit by early Christians which is steeped deep in Jewish roots. This tribute inspired the beginning of the “church” as we know it today.

In scriptural times, the Jews were commanded to offer the Lord new grain in the form of two wave loaves made with the finest flour and baked with leaven. The Jew, Gentile, and other nationalities came together, speaking different languages. (Thus the origin of speaking in tongues in the Pentecostal church today). Peasants of the fields harvested their grain for an offering but under one stipulation. The Lord required them to leave all four corners of the field untouched, so the poor and strangers had crops to eat too.

The Jewish religion sees the Feast of Weeks as a symbol of the coming Messiah and His ministry. The celebration denotes the Lord gathering both Jews and Gentiles and making them one in Him.

Ephesians 2:14-15

4For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace,

In Christian churches, Pentecost Sunday is an observance of the gift of the Holy Spirit. He lives and breathes in each one of us, just as He breathed on the disciples when they were filled with fear upon witnessing Jesus’ resurrection.

John 20:21-23

21Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

Waiting on Christ’s return, today, we congregate and construct our churches for praise and worship. Inside its four walls, regardless of the religion, we are baptized by one Spirit, into one body. The Lord resides in each of us. It was Peter who prophesied all men must unite in one church under heaven. Let us open our minds and understand, it was God’s request the world is to be but one religion. Let each of us pray that one day we will fulfill His wishes.

Miracles, My Love, Lie at the Foot of the Rainbow

The shadows lingered from a restless night, but I tried to be positive as God’s light rejuvenated my soul. I listened quietly as my wife dreamed, and I tried to adjust myself to fit into her position. I kissed her soothing body and prayed over her tragic health news this week. Sometimes in life, you wish you could put the world in reverse and take back past mistakes of bad decisions. We wasted too many years apart before finding each other again. Now, I’m left with little time to make up for my stupidity, and guilt haunts the “what if” category.

I’m reminded, reverently, we live our lives in God’s perfect timing. Our past life experiences are only to prepare us for the future. I crawled out of the covers. It was a new day, and the sun blessed the flowers; the birds chirped, and that which lied upon God’s planet came to His glory. I would be a speck of smudge on the earth’s surface if it weren’t for my faith. All things happen for a reason, and it is only God’s choice. I try to stay strong while our friends rally around us to rescue the brokenness of my will. It’s like kids on a little league team – everyone jumps out of the dugout and runs to help their fallen comrade. It’s a wonderful feeling when you’re lying face down in the dirt, and the whole team arrives to lift you out of the pain.

Tears have grown now as my appreciation outweighs the love which continues to pour into us. How can I sincerely thank all our friends, family, and followers, except to pray God’s glory will shine on their kindness? The Lord watches over His flock, no matter the situation. The sheep are gathered in herds, waiting to be fed once again. Christ, our Shephard will feed the hungry who are gathered in His name.

But, thoughts turn to my beloved. I find my strength in God, for I must be a pillar for her to lean on in this time of distress. So, I take her hand to rededicate, before God, my deepest love for her. I pray, in the name of Jesus, I will give her my all for His love is all we need now. We will walk together in the valley of the elms and take refuge in God’s shade. Our mighty Savior will bring us through this, just like our many other scenarios. Miracles, my love, lie at the foot of the rainbow. ~~www.danabicksauthor.com~~

All The World’s A Stage

All The World’s A Stage

By William Shakespeare

All the world’s a stage,

And all the men and women merely players:

They have their exits and their entrances;

And one man in his time plays many parts,

His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,

Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms.

And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel

And shining morning face, creeping like snail

Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,

Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad

Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. Then a soldier,

Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,

Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,

Seeking the bubble reputation

Even in the cannon’s mouth. And then the justice,

In fair round belly with good capon lined,

With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,

Full of wise saws and modern instances;

And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts

Into the lean and slipper’d pantaloon,

With spectacles on nose and pouch on side,

His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide

For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,

Turning again toward childish treble, pipes

And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,

That ends this strange eventful history,

Is second childishness and mere oblivion,

Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

You didn’t deserve!- #Vanilla’sBlog

You didn’t deserve…

You didn’t deserve that attention I gave;you were just attracted to a girl so brave.

You didn’t deserve the time I gave you more than anyone else;you were just passing your time making a mess.

You didn’t deserve my thoughts for you day and night;you were already planning with someone else.

You didn’t deserve the bond of friendship I was in with you;you just said dialogues of friends forever, that’s never true…..

‘Giving a minimum time to God’ should be our daily activity- TanusriSen

When someone is taking two-three months leave from his/her office, colleagues remember him/her till the time colleagues are dependent on him/her for the office works. When there is no dependancy for work, colleagues forget him/her. When you continue your writing, commenting on other’s blogs, you have interaction with other bloggers. As soon as you will stop writing and stop commenting, other bloggers will forget you.….
