Finish what you start

Do you know people who never finish what they start?

Starting things and not finishing them is a great mistake that many people make. They start very promising projects and before long they have abandoned them and moved on to other ones.

Starting projects and abandoning them is a straight road to failure. You never achieve anything. You may have a shining record of great attempts; but not a record of achievements. Achievement means the successful completion of an important project or activity.

Why would someone start a great project and abandon it along the way without having completed it? There are many reasons for this: fear of failure; doubt of their ability to take it through, laziness, lack of courage to do the hard things that are involved in it.

These are flimsy excuses. What is the result when you allow these excuses to stand on your way and you abandon the project? Failure.

This exactly is what you should not do.

Remember what the Gospel of St Luke Tells us:“No man, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62).

Finish what you start. Stop starting great projects and abandoning them because of flimsy excuses.Do not be only a starter. Be a finisher as well.
