Take up An Idea…

Take up one idea, make that one idea your life. Think of it, dream of it, Live on that idea let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.”

How to move from negative thoughts to positive ones?

Hi friends,

How are you all doing? Hope the reading is going great. I have been reading some really good books from the beginning of this year.

I am planning to re-read some of the other books I have read long back to see how much progress I have made in terms of my thought pattern.

A few days back, I was a bit restless thinking about the things that I had wanted to achieve and the reality of what I had achieved. I felt like a failure (every now and then I get these thoughts though I am not actually a failure). Such thoughts just kept adding up and I couldn’t control myself from the emotional struggle. I knew that it was not helping me in any way.

I know that like attracts like and I could see that it was happening. On one negative thought, other similar thoughts kept adding up.

The negative thoughts kept adding up one after another till I reached a point (the tipping point) where there were no more negative thoughts and my mind went blank (i.e. a slack moment) after which the opposite started happening.

In that one slack moment, a thought came into my mind that there was nothing that I could do in that particular moment other than to accept my present situation with all my heart. The next moment, I got some strength.

Then, I got a second thought that the negative situation won’t last long and I felt even better. Then I got the thought that things would only get better from there and I felt even better. Then I got a thought that I already had so many good things in my life for which I should be grateful and this made me feel even better.

Thus, the positive thoughts kept adding up until I reached a point where I once again began to dream and visualize about my goals as already manifested and felt really happy about them.

I know it was my intuition that was guiding me (at that slack moment) because those positive thoughts came from somewhere deep inside me. I knew I had to have faith and surrender.

And that’s when I learned the process to convert a negative thought into a positive one. The trick is

  1. If you get worried about certain issues, let those thoughts flow (i.e. don’t fight those negative thoughts because that will only aggravate the situation). It is okay to get negative thoughts, it’s just not okay to dwell in those thoughts for long.
  2. The thoughts may keep adding up to a point (I call the tipping point) where you would no longer get any negative thoughts. In fact, at that point, your mind will be exhausted with all the negativity and so it will be blank for a few seconds (I call the slack moment).
  3. In that slack moment, small positive thoughts will start popping up. They will make you realize that you cannot do anything in the present to change your negative situation and that worrying will only worsen the situation. It will ask you to be grateful for all the things you already have in your life.
  4. Use these opportunities (slack moments) to turn the tide in your favor and see the magic happening. You will notice how in a matter of a few seconds you move from being in a negative mood into a neutral mood.
  5. Once you are in a neutral mood, do things that you love to do or things that you are passionate about. This will give you a lot of positivity and take you into the frequency of receiving.
  6. When you vibrate at the frequency of receiving, you visualize your goals and dreams as already achieved, feel happy as if you have already achieved them and eventually manifest them.

It is very normal to feel worried about our goals and the way our lives are going.  The important thing is not to give up based on this worry.

Instead, we need to accept that every now and then it is normal to have worries or negative thoughts and we need to learn to let them pass. If we try to fight them, they will make the problems and negative situations look bigger, but if we let them pass, by not giving them enough attention, they will reduce in size and eventually fade away.

They will be replaced by positive thoughts and this, in turn, will help us in manifesting our dreams and goals.

There are many external things like music, dance, a hobby etc… that you can use to change your mood from negative to positive but they may not be always available. So we must learn to move from negativity to positivity on our own (i.e. using the guidance of our intuition) as well.

Let me know how do you come out of your negative emotions. I would love to know other alternate methods as well.

Love,

Rashmi

Own It – What Makes You, You?

A woman staring outside a window.

This is my last post for 2018, and I want to leave you with something of value to start your 2019 even greater. Therefore, this post is dedicated to those who are having a hard time accepting themselves for who they are, for them to realise that taking ownership of who they are will lead to personal greatness.

So, let’s be clear on this, you will never be someone you are not supposed to be. You may wonder why my life is like this, when in fact, flaws in all, you make your life the best it can be. All the past experiences and memories made have shaped your life. The thought may linger that it is for the better or the worse. But eventually, you make things happen if you want them to.

Just gaze your eyes upon your surroundings, you’ll realise that everything happens for a reason. You cannot depend on other people for your happiness, for they will leave you helpless if you have those expectations of them. Therefore, you must want happiness for yourself before anyone will want it for you.

So, How Do You Do That?

“If you want to dress a certain way, live your life a certain way, act a certain way, then own it. You need to live up to the person you put out there. You do this by accepting who you are.” I couldn’t say it any better than Lauren Alexander.

So, what is the best version of yourself? Because you need to be that person. People have a tendency to influence your opinions, actions or thoughts. However, you only have yourself at the end of the day and live with the consequences of your own actions.

So, taking ownership of who you are is something you need to wear with pride.

Many of us go through life wondering about the “what ifs.” The truth is that people will always be prettier, nicer or have a better life than you. But there will never be a person like yourself. You may meet people similar to you during your life, but in the end, you are unique. Be someone you strive to become, a person that other people would want to meet and be around with.

Stop Negative Self-Talk

When you’ve accepted for who you are, it’s time to put in conscious effort to stop negative self-talk. Don’t be ashamed about it, because this is something that we all struggle with; we all think down on ourselves when we don’t accept who we are. Think back and ask yourself how many times someone has given you a compliment and you’ve shrugged it off.

When someone compliments you, reflect on the experience. It’s okay to be humble and that’s a wonderful trait to have, but learn to appreciate your own hard work and efforts — especially when others are noticing it as well. Make a mental note of how well-appreciated it was and what you did to achieve that goal. Eventually, when you’re working on other things, you’ll have a boost in your self-confidence.

The thing is if you are not happy with yourself, people won’t be wanting to get to know you. People have a habit of picking small tendencies about you before you even know it. So, when you are not happy being you, others will start to notice.

No One Else’s Opinion Really Matter

Surely, you’ve met and you’re going to meet people who will knock you down. Sometimes, they are good people, and sometimes they aren’t. Sometimes, they are angry and quick to judge, or sometimes you just caught them on a bad day. Sometimes, they just suck in that moment, and you were an unfortunate bystander.

No matter what, they will take it out on you, they will tell you that you aren’t good enough and tear you down.

We get caught up in others’ opinions of ourselves too often. As a result, we adjust ourselves and hide personality traits we think may cause others to laugh at us. So, the idea of “owning it” comes back. Why should you care what other people think? Are they you? Are they living your life? No!

Believe me, other people have their own personality traits and talents to worry about.

Get Serious About Your Goals

Once you know who you are and what you want to be, it’s time to set goals for yourself and take serious steps to get to them.

If you want to become a writer, then start writing. Search and reach out to support groups and people who can help give you ideas and edit your work. If you want to pursue higher education, then start thinking about your career path, your interests and personality traits, and make smart choices on the classes you take and how they can help you to reach your goal.

What it all comes down to is that in order to embrace what makes you who you are, you have to be proactive. I often hear the phrase, “You don’t have to do anything,” being thrown around. That’s only applicable if you have no goals in life. If you do have goals, then you “must” make certain proactive decisions and get started.

So, figure out where you want to go in life, and take steps toward achieving that. Find a way to make all of your personality traits, quirks, interests and hobbies work together. Start developing your personal brand, become an industry expert, be honest and true to yourself. Don’t let life pass you by with you trying to be someone you are not. You may work towards having better traits, but that comes with time.

What You Can Do Now?

For each person, regardless of you’re a leader, manager, worker, or student, having a continuous willingness to be vulnerable is the fundamental difference between staying stuck in today and leaping into tomorrow.

When there are no guarantees, we must be willing to act decisively and confidently by sometimes depending on others for our success, saying “I don’t know” or “I’m scared.”

Start going where you have never gone before, and create the space for others to do the same.

Equal-Partnership Concept In The Marriage Is The New Age Romance…

Relationship dynamics are much more vital than these traditional pre-defined norms. As I said every couple knows their expectations, strengths and weaknesses and accordingly they find out what works best for them. I think, for couples today, the key is establishing an equal partnership which includes everything being shared, be it chores, emotional support or finances. To read more please click here

The Croatia vs England encounter was a tough match; and very thrilling too.

England was fast to score when the match opened which gave them momentum and almost destabilized the Croatian side. However, Croatia regained focus and slammed on the equalizer during the dying minutes of the match.

For a good part of the encounter, Croatia was a stronger side. Their players showed proof of more stamina.

That Croatia carried the day,picking the remaining ticket to the final was no surprise to most viewers.

There must be unprecedented jubilation in Croatia now while in England it is a black day.

Bravo Croatia!

Real Madrid Star Cristiano Ronaldo in the head lines again on the first day of stepping onto the stadium in Russia 2018.

Ronaldo carries home all the superlative – ‘magical Ronaldo,’ ‘their best ever’ after he hit the Spanish net with a penalty shot.

All the same, Spain and Portugal ended on a 3-3 score.

It was a clash of giants; a match to watch.

Any comment?

A changeover of months and we are still feeling the newness of the year.  Hopes are high as they should be, there is so much we all want to achieve.   Some endeavours have been started and others are yet to be.  Whatever stage we are at with them, we have the chance to think anew and reassess our position, tenacity, capacity and the way forward.

Let’s continue to evaluate and strive forward, not once, not twice but in loops till we achieve our goals.

Where your eye is fixed

Show me
Where your eye is fixed;
At the bottom
Or at the top;
And I will tell you
How far you will go;
How high you will rise;
How low you will remain.
No one rises higher
Than where their eye is fixed;
Where your eye is fixed,
There your heart is fixed;
Where your heart is fixed;
There do you focus your might;
Where you focus your might,
There you arrive.
