Where our problem lies

Where does our problem lie?
Where does the devil dwell?
Are Christians in a trance?
The world is being torn to pieces;
Under our watchful eyes;
Or are we saying we do not see?
Who does not see the fire
That hell is spitting out
On the world?
Who is not aware
Of the blazing flames?
The world is rife with produce
From the devil’s farm;
Aren’t our leaders worse today
Than the tyrants of old?
Human slaughter houses
Have geometrically multiplied;
Humans are massacred like cattle
Or buried alive;
Neighbours at war,
Fighting and killing,
And dumping neighbours in pits
Dug behind their homes;
Who talks?
Don’t we hear
And see these atrocities?
Can we pretend not to see?
Aren’t we authoring them?
Where is the Devil’s dwelling place?
Our hearts.
Who feeds and nurtures him?
Hypocrisy is devouring
The world.
Shall we stop him?
Or shall we let him go on
Till our human race is wiped off?
We preach virtue
And practice vice.
That’s where the problem lies.
Can’t we stick to the right,
And shun the wrong?
That is our challenge;
To cast pride and greed
Into a bottomless pit;
To keep falling
Never to walk the earth again.

What is God waiting for you to do?

How would you feel if the President of your country called you by phone and told you he likes you and wants to have a chat with you?

Definitely, you would feel happy; and your self-esteem would go up.

How would you feel if you got such a call from the President of the United States of America or from the Pope? I believe that would astound you.

The President of your country, the president of the United States of America and the Pope are very important personalities. To call you and tell you they like you means they value you. If you feel great because they have called you, one reason is they are great personalities.

You feel happy when an important person recognizes and values you.

God values you and that is why he created you. Don’t you feel very happy? God is most important. He created all the important people of the world whom you regard so highly.

If you regard human beings so highly, what more of the God who created them?

God is great; and loves you. It is not a joke. He loves you so much. If he had not loved you, he would not have created you.

You should be very happy that God loves you. And because He loves you, He will protect you and provide for you. Someone cannot love you and stand and see you suffer.

What more of God who is all good? He wants you to be happy. He is ready to make you happy. He is ready to give you the things that are good for you.

But He has his conditions which you must fulfill to benefit from his largesse. Fulfilling these conditions is not for his good but for yours. He wants you to ask and you shall be given; to seek and you will find; to knock and the door will be opened into you.

Do you ask? Do you seek? Do you knock?

That is what God is waiting for you to do. To ask, you must know clearly what you are asking for. To seek, you must know what you are seeking; to knock, you must know which door you are knocking.

And how do you ask? How do you seek? How do you knock? There are right and wrong ways of doing everything. Whatever you do rightly will give you good results. Whatever you do wrongly, will give poor or negative results.

The right way to ask God is first to obey him, then to ask. The wrong way is to disobey him and then ask. You will not get what you have asked for.

Obedience to God is the key that opens the door of his heart.

Obey the Lord and ask. You shall receive. This is what God is waiting for you to do.

Creature of dignity

Of all creatures of dignity,
Man comes top of the list;
What can be sweeter than love
Shown to man?
And woman of course?
What can be sweeter than concern
For man when man is in trouble?
That is what makes man gold;
We must value man,
And treat him with love
And dignity;
Man was created in the image
And likeness of God;
Therefore, man is important;
Man is great;
Man is worthy of love, care
and respect;
Man is a creature of dignity.

The day the earth will die

Some people talk about the end of the world as if it were a joke. It is not a joke. It is a serious matter. One day, the world will come to an end. However, it will not be the way we have been made to understand.

The world will come to an end the day the earth will die. The earth will die some day; and life will come to an end here on earth.

How do I know this. It’s easy. Every living thing dies. Animals die. Plants die. Birds, die. Insects die. The earth is a living thing. It could not have been producing all the life on earth, if it were not a living thing.

As a living thing, it is dying gradually as the days go by. It will, with time, get too old and worn out and will die. That may take thousands and thousands of yeas or more, but it will happen. When this happens, all life will come to an end because life on earth depends on a living earth.

If the earth is dead, it will no longer produce crops, water, air on which life depends. How then shall life survive on earth?

A good question is shall the death of the earth be the end of life in the universe? No! On earth, yes. But life will take off on another planet. It is hard to say what type of beings God will create at that time; But it will be a good guess that he will.

God will never die; and will never want to be alone. He will create other living forms; and the process of life will begin again.
