Life’s calendar

Every life has its calendar;
One you do not master;
Neither do you control;
Illnes is not death;
Don’t pity someone
Who is ill,
And believe they will die
Before you,
Because they are ill,
And you are well and strong;
It doesn’t matter
How critically ill they may be;
Someone may be very ill;
And another not;
There is no certainty
Who will die
Before the other;
Life and death
Both come from God;
And their secret,
He alone knows;
He alone determines
The calendar of our lives;
He determibes when we are born;
And when we die.
We have to leave all
In his almighty hands.
As his decision is final,
And the best that can ever
be taken.

When illness came

Illness came to me unannounced;
Yes, after a long time,
Illness came;
And do you know what I thought?
That God did not like me;
That God had abandoned me;
That God had refused
To answer my prayer;
But that isn’t true.
Only later did I know;
God loves me always;
And cares for me always;
And will never abandon me.
God will always stand by me.
Even when illness comes,
He loves me.
That is same for you;
So much, God loves you;
And will stand by you,
And for you;
Will never abandon you;
Will never fail you.
God loves you so very much.
When illness comes,
Don’t be deceived;
God loves you.

Take your leave ( Be inspired today 256 by Ngobesing Suh Romanus)

God knows
When your leave is due
And grants it
To you.
Don’t say
You will be stubborn
And refuse to take
Your leave.
That cannot happen;
You must take it.
He will force it
Onto you.
With God
You don’t defer your leave.
Time for leave
Is time for leave
Take your leave
And have your test.

Pray for the suffering today

Pray for all those who are in pain today;
That God may relieve their suffering;
Many are those who are suffering;
From one plight or another;
Some are hungry;
No food to eat;
Some are sick;
No cure for their illness;
Some lack the money for medical attention
Or to buy their medication;
Some are tortured in their own families;
In their own country;
They need your prayers;
Some are unjustly punished;
Punished for crimes others have committed;
Some are displaced;
Some have no roof over their heads;
Pray for all these people;
That the Lord may have mercy on them.
And relieve their suffering;
Will you have time to pray for them?

If you are sick…

Sickness, nobody likes;
Sickness, nobody wants;
Sickness, we all dislike;
Sickness, we even hate;
Sickness, we can’t avoid;
Sickness, we must have;
Sickness, is sure to come.
If you are sick,
Take courage and face it;
If you are sick,
Have hope that you will be well;
If you are sick,
Put it in prayers for God to help you;
If you are sick,
You will get well at God’s right time.
Don’t fear to be sick.

We are suffering? What solution?

Since the creation of the universe, humanity has been laboring in vain to get solutions to the problems of the world. Huge sums of money have been spent in wars, conferences and talks. Yet, we are far from the needed solutions.

Is there any hope that things will change some day? That we will live in a peaceful world, void of conflict, war,  unemployment, poverty, illnesses, and all types of suffering? Shall there come a day when everybody shall enjoy a fair share of the world’s resources?

That, undoubtedly, will take a long time to come.

It seems that the more we spend time, money and energy searching for the solutions to the world’s problems, the more they increase. Hence, today we are overwhelmed. We are rocked by all types of conflicts, wars, poverty, hunger, unemployment, illness and other forms of human suffering; which continue to drain the world’s resources.

The irony is that what we are looking for does not require all the financial resources we are You make us proud, my girl!pumping in. Many of the things we are doing at the moment in the name of seeking solutions to the world’s problems are a mere waste of scarce resources.

There is only one solution to the problems of the world; and it is free. If we can find it, we’ll have an end to all that makes the world so hard to live in; so unjust; and so full of suffering.  That solution is proposed to the world every day, but who pays heed? We turn our backs on it and keep looking for solutions where they cannot be found.

Jesus Christ gave us that solution some two thousand years ago. He continues to tell us today. It has been echoed and re-echoed. Can you guess what it is?

The day the world shall find love is the day that conflict shall end in the world; war shall end; poverty, hunger, and all forms of human suffering shall, either end, or shall drastically reduce; and the world shall become an excellent place for everybody to enjoy.IMG_0165
