Poor village boy (Be inspired today 391 by Ngobesing Suh Romanus)

What attracts you
To the poor village boy?
Surely, not his poverty;
What is attractive about poverty?
It must be his toughness;
His resilience;
His ability to sail through
The rough,stormy sea of poverty,
To the safe shores of riches;
Braving it through
The fearpacked tunnel of darkness
To the bright land of riches
And success;
His determination;
His faith;
His effort;
And his spirit of perseverance;
To stick to it;
To persist
Are what have installed him
In the ivory tower
Of the esteem of others.

Letter to the rich

Dear rich people of the world,
Tell me how you got your riches;
Did you earn them honestly?
Or you acquired them dishonestly?
If you earned them honestly,
That is good;
You have a right to enjoy
The sweat of your brow.
If you earned them
In the dark,
What a shame!
Riches are good,
When not earned through
Dirty hands.
Ill-gotten wealth is bad;
And ends up destroying its author.
Be rich if you can;
But know how you get
Your riches;
Feed not fat on the poor;
And in opulence swim,
While they like flies perish
In abject poverty.

Smart people make quick money and become rich while foolish people become poor

Greedy people want to become rich quick. They jump on every opportunity they find. But beware! Don’t be stupid! Otherwise you may instead become poor quick. It’s easy. Look at what happened to a whole village. The people wanted to be rich. Read their story:

Monkey business.
A lot of monkeys lived near a village.๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’

One day a merchant came to the village to buy these monkeys!๐Ÿต๐Ÿต๐Ÿต๐Ÿต๐Ÿต

He announced that he will buy the monkeys @ $100 each. ๐Ÿต๐Ÿ’ต

The villagers thought that this man is mad.๐Ÿ˜‡

They thought how can somebody buy stray monkeys at $100 each?๐Ÿค”

Still, some people caught some monkeys and gave it to this merchant and he gave $100 for each monkey.

This news spread like wildfire and people caught monkeys and sold it to the merchant.๐Ÿ˜ฌ

After a few days, the merchant announced that he will buy monkeys @ 200 each. ๐Ÿต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต

The lazy villagers also ran around to catch the remaining monkeys!๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’

They sold the remaining monkeys @ 200 each.๐Ÿ˜‹

Then the merchant announced that he will buy monkeys @ 500 each!
๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต

The villagers start to lose sleep! … They caught six or seven monkeys, which was all that was left and got 500 each.๐Ÿ™Š๐Ÿต๐Ÿต๐Ÿต๐Ÿต๐Ÿต๐Ÿ’

The villagers were waiting anxiously for the next announcement.๐Ÿ™„

Then the merchant announced that he is going home for a week. And when he returns, he will buy monkeys @ 1000 each!๐Ÿต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต

He asked his employee to take care of the monkeys he bought. He was alone taking care of all the monkeys in a cage.๐Ÿค ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’

The merchant went home.๐Ÿ˜Ž

The villagers were very sad as there were no more monkeys left for them to sell it at $1000 each.โ˜น๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜“

Then the employee told them that he will sell some monkeys @ 700 each secretly. ๐Ÿ˜ถ

This news spread like fire. Since the merchant buys monkey @ 1000 each, there is a 300 profit for each monkey.๐Ÿ˜ฌ

The next day, villagers made a queue near the monkey cage.๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿต๐Ÿ’๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘

The employee sold all the monkeys at 700 each. The rich bought monkeys in big lots. The poor borrowed money from money lenders and also bought monkeys!

The villagers took care of their monkeys & waited for the merchant to return. ๐Ÿ˜•

But nobody came! …๐Ÿ˜ค Then they ran to the employee…๐Ÿค

But he has already left too !๐Ÿ˜‰

The villagers then realised that they have bought the useless stray monkeys @ 700 each and unable to sell them! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ.

This is the story of bitcoin and other similar wonder banks as well as other greedy ways of acquiring wealth.

Watch out for the next monkey ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™Š business

It will make a lot of people bankrupt and a few people filthy rich in this monkey business. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜…

That’ how it works๐Ÿคฃ

Be careful or you regret (Be inspired today 237 by Ngobesing Suh Romanus)

How it happened,
It’s hard for many
To understand;
They were all kids
In the same neighborhood;
Taky from a rich home,
Mawomba from a poor one;
Mawomba begged from Taky
To survive;
Today, as grown ups,
Mawomba is rich,
Taky is poor.
Taky begs from Mawomba
To survive.
Who can guess
What must have happened?
What went wrong for Taky?
How did the tables turn?
Can this happen to anybody?
You may be a Taky;
You may be a Mawomba;
This can happen to anybody.
Better to be a Mawomba
In childhood,
And end as a childhood Taky
Than to be a Taky
In childhood,
And end as childhood Mawomba;
You have to watch out
If you are blessed;
You may waste your blessings
And regret tomorrow.

How did the poor village boy end?

Did the poor village boy make it? How did his story end? Come with me to journey with the poor village boy.

To see the ups and downs of his life. To know if he sailed through; and if did what made him sail through? If he didn’t, why didn’t he?

It shall be a thrilling learning and growing experience with the poor village boy.

More here as story of the day

The rich and the poor

Who makes the rich?
And who makes the poor?
Who makes them rich?
And who makes them poor?
If focus is on the poor,
It’s easy to understand;
What is hard to grasp,
Is why the so many poor;
How did we get to this?
Is this the world
Our creator gave us?
That a few are so rich
And so many are so poor?
Who makes the rich?
And who makes the poor?
Don’t the poor make the rich?
And don’t the rich make
The poor?
This is my answer:
The poor make the rich;
The rich make the poor.

The amazing grace of God

Are you ready to share
Your blessings
With a poor, rustic village kid?
You who are born in the city
In opulence,
In a family of abundance,
Where riches flow?
With buttered bread?
Milked and honeyed tea?
Are you ready to be
A blessing to another
Less fortunate?
Not favored by fortune?
God calls on you to pass on
The gift;
That it’s not for you alone;
That if he so abundantly
Blesses you,
You have a duty to share.
Let the fruits from your fruit tree reach others;
By so doing you bless others;
As a coworker with Him
That was, that is and that will ever be.
You are an instrument of God’s answer to others’ prayers;
Yes, you must share that wonderful gift
From heaven;
You owe a duty to put a smile on another’s face
Today;
Make another happy;
That others, through you,
May see, feel and enjoy
The amazing grace of God.
