My greatest discovery about life

My greatest discovery about life; that is what I want to share with you today.

I am sure that what I am going to tell you can transform your life.

To me, it is what everybody should know.

I made the discovery not long ago.

I wish I had known it much earlier; when I was much younger and stronger. Life would have been enormously different for me. I can bet everything would have taken another turn.

Any way, it’s not too late.

I think, however , that it’s better for people to know vital truths of life like this one when they are young and energetic. Then, they can better employ their youthful exuberance to exploit it to better purpose.

My discovery is about how God and the devil work in everybody’s life and why some people make it big while others end as woeful failures.

Let me reiterate that what I will tell you can take you far if you know how to use it.

In fact, it can lift you from oblivion, if that is where you are, to stardom.

It has done so to lots and lots of people, and will continue to do so.

As many great writers have said, knowledge is power. When you have knowledge, you have power, because with it, you can do things that those who don’t have it cannot do.

Take for example that you have knowledge of a subject. You can teach it. And the fact that you can teach or that you are teaching it is power. You have power over those you teach and many others. They look up to you; and give you respect.

If you have knowledge of how to run your country, and fix her economy, and you have knowledge of how to let the people know that you can do it, they will make you their leader if you vy for the post.

This means that knowledge gives power. Hence, the phrase ” knowledge is power. ”

If you want to be a powerful person, acquire knowledge. If you acquire enough knowledge in your specialty, you will be powerful in it. This can eventually make you a generally powerful person in your community, country or the world.

Knowledge is thus power.

What is this discovery that I have talked so much about?

It is a simple but powerful discovery. And when I call it a discovery, I mean a discovery to me. I make this precision because it is what many people have known down the millennia; but I was ignorant if of until now; so were many others.

Today, I know it.

This has to do with good and evil in our lives; positive and negative happenings; success and failure.

What makes people succeed and what makes people fail?

The world has two principal forces from which everything on earth emanates.

This is the force of Good and the force of Evil. Everything in existence has in it elements of good and elements of bad; the positive and the negative. Like we have day and we have night.

Day is on the side of good. Night, on the side of bad. We can classify everything on the earth under these two headings. However, though everything has its dominant class, it also has a bit of the other side. In daylight when a lot of good things happen, bad ones also happen. But what is dominant in daylight is good.

At night, lots of evil happenings occur. Evil dominates; but also good things happen. Light is associated with good, darkness with evil. But a lot of good happens in darkness and a lot of evil happens in broad daylight.

What does this mean? That in every good thing, there is a seed or seeds of evil. In every evil, there is the seed of good. Hence, a good thing can easily be transformed into an evil one; and an evil thing can easily be transformed into a good one. Or, if not so, good can come out of a bad situation and a good situation can give birth to evil.

Good in the world is under God’s control. Evil is under the control of the Devil. God could control everything but he decided that since the bad angel loved power so much, he should have control over the evil kingdom.

This means that God is in charge of the universal factory of good while the Devil is in charge of the universal factory of Evil. Everything good comes from God, the Almighty in Heaven. Everything evil comes from Satan, the almighty in the kingdom of Hell.

But there is a possibility of conversion from good to evil and vice versa. That is why in everything, there is potential for good as well as for bad.

We humans are free to choose what we get out. Is it good or evil?

Every person chooses to belong to God or to the Devil. We have free will to choose.

But it is very hard to choose one side and stay there 100%. There is an army of angels helping us not to fall into the snare of the Devil.

The Devil and his messengers (bad angels) are round the clock tempting us to win us to their kingdom.

Whether good or bad angels, we don’t see them; and don’t hear their voices loudly in our ears. They are silent actors. They point to what they want us to see; whisper what they want us to hear.

But they are energetic in pushing us especially the evil ones who want to pull us away from God.

Each time they succeed to make you turn against God, they reward you with a gift from their kingdom. Everything in their kingdom is evil and so your reward is something evil.

When they do this and see you crying, they will tell lies to deceive you. Lies and deceit are their weapons; their working tools. They use lies to make you hate God so as to turn away from Him and embrace them.

They will tell you that your plight is coming from God. They will discourage you from God. They will tell you that if you begin to follow God, being kind and good, people will always take advantage of you; that you should hit hard on anyone who crosses your path; that you need to go to a sorcerer to fortify yourself etc.

If you are not strong to maintain your trust in God, you will fall and the devil will claim you.

Very soon you shall become a seasoned member of the Devil’s kingdom. And will only be doing devilish things.

How does what I have been saying help you succeed in life?

We are here to inspire, motivate and encourage you to succeed.

What it means is give no chance to the devil in your life. Watch out for his temptations and those of his agents. When you hear that whisper in your ear to follow him, turn straight to God or your guardian angel and beg for guidance and protection.

Each time you do this, not only will you be helped out of that danger, you will also be rewarded with a blessing from heaven.

If you always do this, you will always have good things coming to you as you will always be rewarded. But make no mistake. The Devil and his soldiers will always come with full energy when they see God winning you.

The take home is: if you want good things to be flowing to you, be permanently on the side of God. Turn down the devil every time he beckons at you, be it in a big or small way.

It is possible for you to be a success magnet; to be moving from achievement to achievement. To do so, stay on the side of the source of all the good in the world.

When you give yourself to the devil, do not expect God to have anything to do with you until you repent and return to him.

So when you pray and God does not answer your prayer, it is because knowing your heart God knows that you are in alliance with the devil and only pretending.

There is no prayer of a pure and honest heart that is not answered.

Make sure, when you pray, that your heart is pure; that you are not in a secret alliance with the devil. This, we call secret sin.

Put your full trust in God. Turn from the devil and see God lift you to your full potential.

Why do African leaders stick to power?

Has you ever asked yourself the question as to why African leaders like to stick to power?

It is a normal thing for African leaders to stay in power for life. There are only a few exceptions. And in some cases, they only leave because they are forced to do so.

This is an issue Africans need to put more and more on their discussion agenda. It is imperative that we put an end to this eternalization of people in power.

So how do we explain that once a black man gets to power, he never wants to leave to make way for others?

Let me start the discussion by advancing my own points.

  1. Lack of educated minds: Someone with an educated mind knows and accepts that they are not the only person in their community. They know we share the earth with others who also have a right to be here. We do not have to be selfish or greedy. We have to have a spirit of sharing. The selfish instinct in most African leaders is very strong to the point of greed. Many African leaders are greedy. They don’t want to share power.
  2. Power is sweet. Power is sweet and once somebody tastes it, it becomes hard to give it up unless there is real serious pressure to step down.
  3. Weak constitutions. The constitutions of African countries are generally weak and give room for manipulation. The leaders change them at will to legitimize their long stay in power.
  4. Weak institutions Governing institutions like the Parliament, the Senate and the judiciary. are and not free and are manipulated.
  5. Unscrupulous leaders: Many African leaders are unscrupulous. They don’t listen to their consciences.
  6. Fear: Many African leaders are ruled by fear of the unknown. What will happen when they leave power? They could be jailed for all the atrocities they committed while in office.
  7. Western Masters: At times, the Western masters want a particular person to continue in power to facilitate things for them.

These are the points I have. Please, keep the ball rolling. Give your comment or add to the points advanced here.

The power of success

If you succeed to amass wealth
People fear you;
And respect you;
If you rise in position,
That is if you gain power,
People will follow you.
If you fail or are failing,
People will run away
From you.
That is life and the power
Of success.
We associate with success;
People identify with power;
Because we want our share.
You have to succeed
To be recognized and respected in your community;
Yes, money has power;
With money, enough money,
You can corrupt whoever;
You make people see wrong
To be right,
And right to be wrong;
You make lies truth;
And truth lies;
This is the world
In which we live;
Our world;
Sad for the poor;
They may get glory in heaven,
But on earth, its hell.

What prompted Jesus to curse the Fig Tree?

Have you ever read the portion of the bible where Jesus cursed the fig tree and wondered why He took such action on an innocent tree?

Could it have been because there was no friuts on the fig tree for Him to quench His hunger?. It’s also worthy to note that book of Mark 11:13 stated that it was not yet the season of fig trees to bear fruit.

Mark 11:11-24 also recounts the event that transpired between Jesus and His disciples in respect of the fig tree vis-a-vis the important lesson from it.

Furthermore, Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us that; for everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.

So what prompted Jesus to curse the tree if the time of figs wasn’t yet?

Well, Jesus gave the answer and the lesson He wants us to learn in Mark 11:22-24

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have

In other words, Jesus wants us to know that as children of God we have the authority to command and issue decrees concerning anything or circumstance and it will happen according to our faith.

It’s interesting to know that God has given man dominion to rule over situations Ab initio genesis 1:26

This goes to show that there’s a measure of God’s power in us, and its efficacy depends solely on the level of our faith.

In summary, Jesus passed a judgment on the fig tree not necessarily because it was fruitless, but because He wants us to know and understand that we can achieve our heart desire if we believe and exercise unwavering faith in God as touching anything.

Many thanks for dropping by, until next time…

Praying together

There is power in unity;
When we work together,
We do more
Than when we work individually;
When we pray together
We make a more
Powerful prayer,
There is power in unity;
Every Sunday,
We come together
As a family
Of God’s people,
And pray together.
We thank God
For this opportunity;
For his Church;
That offers us the opportunity
To journey together
To heaven,
Helping and supporting
one another.
Togetherness generates power.

The Power of TRUST

As a Noun
A firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something.

Relations have to be built on trust. A relationship built on mutual trust and respect

In Law
It is an arrangement whereby a person (a trustee) holds property as its nominal owner for the good of one or more beneficiaries.

“A trust was set up”

As a Verb
Believe in the reliability, truth, or ability of.

eg. I should never have trusted her

From the above definitions and examples of trust we can deduce that trust is a strong believe and faith in someone or something to fulfil a promise or to deliver.

Trust is not something that is tangible and as such trust is an inward disposition which can only be felt through relating with people or something.

For trust to take place or for anyone to get to that level of being trustworthy it has to be earned just like respect. And one way we can do that is by being truthful, free of deceit, honest and sincere at all times, first with ourselves and with other people. Our yes should be yes and no should be no in line with our firm values.

Trust doesn’t just happen overnight. Trust is earned overtime as a result of consistent honesty, integrity and sincere commitment in relationship with people be it in family, friendship, business, office and as well as our walk with God.

You probably must have heard some people saying i don’t trust that person, i don’t trust that company or product. These statements can be as a result of:

  • Either such person have not had the opportunity of working or relating with the person, company or using the product in question or;
  • It could also be that both parties have had the opportunity of working or relating with each other in time past and one of them did not keep to his/her words, hence those statements.

Trust is so powerful and important that we can not do without it especially for those of us of the household of faith.

That’s why the bible asked: Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?
Amos 3:3 NLT

No doubt, God has faith in mankind which is very obvious in His relationship with us. God has so much faith in man to the extent that He gave Satan power over Job to do whatever he pleases but not to kill him. This goes to show the level of God’s trust for Job in vouching for him knowing fully well that Job will not disappoint Him.

Another bible character who God demonstrated His trust for was Abraham in Genesis 18:19:
For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord , to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

God said that He knows Abraham and that he will instruct his children to go in the way of the Lord. Can you beat that? And to think that this statement was made prior to the birth of Issac just shows the level of trust God had in Abraham.

It’s clear that we can’t walk with a God we do not trust but one thing I have discovered about some of us is not that we do not trust God but rather we lack the patience to walk and wait patiently on Him.

One virtue that was common in Abraham and Job’s life was patience. Their ability to maintain a positive attitude towards God in their time of waiting was key.

Just like Abraham and Job, irrespective of our circumstances in life we should patiently trust in God in our walk with Him. We should trust and be patient with God in good and in bad times.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Ephesians 6:13 KJV

One of the armour of God is faith ( trust) hence from the above verse we can say after you have done all that’s required, you must have the patience to wait on Him. (stand)

The advantage of trusting God patiently is that you will be at peace irrespective of the condition you are in because you know God is in control. God always fulfils His promise concerning those who trust in Him to the very end. Those who trust in the Lord can not be put to shame.

Every word of God is tested and refined [like silver]; He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him.

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired.

When it comes to our relationship with people, trust is very important especially in the family because without trust members of the family will be far apart even while together, they wont be able to defend each other. There won’t be free communication flow. Trust in the family brings about unity and direction of purpose.

Being trustworthy as a business owner or service provider brings about customer loyalty, people will easily talk good of your product or services to other people which will in turn win you more clients and patronage.
You can easily be vouched for when people find you trustworthy, you can be recommended for jobs or contract because they know you will not disappoint them. People can easily confide in you because they know the information will be safe with you.

Reliability is the precondition for trust -Wolfgang Schauble

Some of the dangers of not being trustworthy is that people will not value and respect you. People will find it difficult to associate or do business with you and people will find it difficult to defend you if and when the need arises.

Before us lie two paths – honesty and dishonesty. The shortsighted embark on the dishonest path; the wise on the honest. For the wise know the truth; in helping others we help ourselves; and in hurting others we hurt ourselves. Character overshadows money, and trust rises above fame. Honesty is still the best policy. -Napoleon Hill

Many thanks for stopping by, until i come your way again…

Money or knowledge: choose

There is a question I once asked, but I cannot recall the answer that people gave me.

The question was about money and power. This is it: which is more powerful? Money or knowledge? If God is ready to offer you whichever you choose. Which would you choose?

If you answered this question before, please, remind me of your answer. If you have not answered it, kindly do it now.

There are many people who will prefer money to education. They say money can open all doors. And that many educated persons end up as employees under rich people.

Others will say it is better to have knowledge than to have money. They hold that with knowledge people easily find their way in life.

Here, we have two sides that are opposed to each other. You have the opportunity to choose. God is waiting to give you whichever one you choose.

Which would you go for?

Success quote by Ngobesing Suh Romanus

“Success is not as hard to achieve as it looks. What makes you unable to achieve it as you desire to is your wrong approach due to ignorance. If you are honest and humble enough to admit that there is a power greater than you which controls your life and you turn over full control of it to him, you will find success coming in ways that will startle you. When you try to go for it on your own, you are bound to hit your head here and there and end up not having what you want. ” Romilia Quotes
