Sing praise

I will sing praise
To no human like me;
To God alone,
I will sing praise;
I will adore Him;
I will sing praise
To his name;
I will worship him;
And give him all
The honour and glory;
All that I have,
Belongs to him;
It comes from him,
And will return to him;
My life, my time,
Everything I possess,
Belongs to him.
He is a mighty God.
To him alone
I will sing praise.
No praise will I sing
To any human.

The Carols Heralding

Many enjoy our words of faith and enduring inspiration; however, not all of my life is colorful as the fall. But, this is not about those I’ve turned over to God in prayer, but the joyful ending of God’s faithfulness. The holiday season is fast approaching, and I won’t focus on the ugly parts of life, but the joy of Thanksgiving.

Thanks be to God ~ the carols heralding!

Living in a state of humility and reverence, I find myself so thankful for answered prayers. The summer winds turned to the north, and the foliage of forests turned harvest colors. It’s time to lie down arms, repent, and comfort those we might forget this past year.

Thanks be to God ~ the carols heralding!

Yes, it’s time to rejoice! Give praise to our almighty Father for our many Thanksgiving blessings. Join hands to commemorate the peace and love we’ve found in each other. It’s not just the pilgrims landing anymore. Our sovereignty, through God, our Father, blessed the table we partake this past year.

Thanks be to God ~ the carols heralding!

I so often return to the words my wise dad spoke, “count your blessings, not your problems.” I welcome you to share this thought on Thanksgiving. Lay aside the differences, if only for one day, and thank God for your life. Count your many blessings and be thankful. We fill every day with memorable moments.

As for my family and I, this year’s Thanksgiving Day holds a significant meaning. It falls on the twenty-eighth, which was my Dad’s birthday, and I commemorate him in heaven. It was also my parent’s wedding anniversary. Married in 1958, I bet they picked this day so my dad would never forget their anniversary. Only one person knows their story for sure, and he’ll never tell… or will you, Uncle Bill?

Praise Precedes Victory

The bible says the weapon of our warfare are not carnal ( physical ) but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4

Praise is one of such weapons because praise brings God down and where God is there’s liberty and victory. Psalm 22:3

2 Chronicles 20 tells us how the Israelites overcame their enemies just by singing and praising God.

The wall of Jericho was brought down through praise and Paul and Silas were freed from the prison through the power of praise.

Do you know that the name Judah in Genesis 37:26-27 means praise ? and guess who suggested that Joseph should be brought out of the pit and sold to the Ishmaelites, instead of killing him. Judah

In case you are going through some challenges or your soul is cast down just like David; know that praise will bring you out and give you a soul lift as you switch over to praise.

There’s power in your praise

There’s joy in your praise

There’s healing in your praise

There’s freedom in your praise

One thing about praising God is that it takes your eyes off the battle, off the challenge and fix it on God who’s the man of war.

As you go about your endeavours, know that the victory is in your praise.

Take care and have a terrific weekend!

Peace,

Danny

Glory be his name

Good morning lovely ones;
This is another day
Which the Lord has made;
Another weekend, indeed;
As usual, let’s rejoice;
And thank God
For he is very good
His works are mighty
And beautiful;
His kindness, limitless.
Following his example,
We must be profuse
In our praise;
Glory be his name;
We’ll sing him
Wherever we are,
We’ll shout out his name,
To the ends of the world.

You are a great soul

You amaze me, woman;
You are an amazing person;
You are so brilliant;
I know you don’t like
When I say this about you;
You may even feel hurt;
You don’t want to be appreciated,
Talk less of praised;
But what you do
Is too much for me
To close my eyes on;
Thank God you may
Never read this
To get at me;
But it’s not meant
To hurt you
Lovely one;
I just wish
I could make you happy;
You are such a great soul;
Doing so much with me;
Thank you for your magnanimity of heart.
May you be richly rewarded
By our almighty creator
In ways
That you like
For your noble heart,
And outstanding work!

Serving God’s Purpose

I hated to see my leftover coffee go to waste, so I sipped on it and waited on the Lord to give me this message for today. You see, God awoke me in the middle of the night, many years ago, and asked me to serve Him. I still do not understand His reason, but I’m glad He did; I rejoice and am honored to witness His good works every single day. However, few Christians know how to serve God’s purpose in their life. Have you ever questioned this thought?

Serving the Lord isn’t about us receiving attention or glory; it is for Him to receive praise. So, I start my day with an early morning prayer. I give thanks for my many blessings, and I ask Him to reveal His intentions of how could I serve Him. Am I to be His voice calling His chosen people, or am I to be a pillar to support His kingdom?

Dana Bicks

In your case, ask God to show you how to change other people’s lives to be a witness to His love. Perhaps involve yourself in an outreach community or work at the church. Whatever calling you choose, it should not be something you do at certain times, but a passion every single moment of the day. If God is not changing sinners into Christians, then how can He be glorified by the seeds we should plant? Serving God’s purpose is changing the lives of others who will witness His love and grace through your deeds. Share the good news about Jesus’ forgiveness of sin. How do you do this on a nine-to-five schedule, in your dead-end position?

Is Your Job a Dead-End Position?

Are you unfulfilled in your current job? Maybe it’s boring, you’re overworked and underpaid, not to mention unnoticed for a job well done. A desire for a meaningful existence just doesn’t apply to you. The Bible teaches that finding our purpose in anything other than the Lord will always leave us empty. If we can’t make a difference, what is the purpose? I’m sure your next response will be, “But I have bills to pay and a roof to put over my head.” Many job openings abound which better serves the Lord, and they will, in turn, pay your debts. Pray for God to show you the way.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

A Personal Story of Inspiration

Allow me to share a personal story with you, which will explain how God works, helping us to serve His purpose. Before my wife and I reunited and married, she lived in Virginia, single, for over thirty years. Her occupational field of expertise was in the accounting genre, and her pay scale was in the top echelon of her field. She burned out crunching numbers and often prayed something newer and better would come her way. In 2005, she accepted an opportunity to do mission work for the International Board of Southern Baptist Convention in Africa. When she returned from her outreach work, she was eager to continue spreading the word of God. She applied and was accepted to work for the Peace Corps, but she turned it down for lack of security in her designated country.

Now confused and floundering, perhaps moving to a different area was her answer, so in 2007 she purchased a home in Tampa. Within weeks of moving to Florida, she walked into a publisher’s office and landed another high-paying job. What did she know about the publishing field, and how did this serve the Lord? Was this another mistake? To make a long story short, the company eventually folded, and she moved back to Virginia, where she took a job for a non-profit Catholic organization running the finances. Once again, another mistake.

When my wife and I reconnected with each other in 2016, she told me how she was praying God would find her a job serving Him. She spoke of going back into missionary work, but I wasn’t letting her get away from me this time. Within days of moving to Arkansas with me, she suggested we begin a blog and website which served the Lord, and the rest is history. She is now my Editor and marketing guru. How ironic God placed her in a publishing company in Florida only to gain the experience for our award-winning book! Today, we both serve God’s purpose; our messages go further than any missionary work she could ever perform around in the world. Amen!

Rejoice, for You are Chosen!

Our almighty God comforts us and gives us the conveniences of life if we remain dedicated in prayer. When we least expect it, He will drop that job in our lap serving His purpose. Just keep your eyes and ears open and pray for the discernment. Is it the one God is offering to better serve His name? The richness you will receive may not be monetary but one of spiritual peace knowing you are serving God’s purpose.

Rejoice, for you are chosen to serve the Lord! How do I know this? You are a Christian who just took the first step of reading this blog… His message to you!

Be in God’s Presence

Can you be in God’s presence? Many search for a time and the place where God lives while sitting in a quiet corner, reading their bible. Others pray to ask for an anointed morning. The sin of Adam and Eve prevented our ability to be in the physical presence of God. So, I find comfort in the reality of His existence – the miracles of each beautiful day. Obedience to His written word brings me closer than I can ever imagine to the Lord.

I examine the blessings which flow before me outside my home – beautiful flowers of every species blossom in the morning light. Young, saplings stand tall and proud. I dug them out of the nursery and fed and nurtured their delicate roots over a prayer. Lord, please take care of my trees. Let my integrity follow as I love the tree in me as much as this seedling I planted in the ground.

God’s presence brings joy and peace. He awaits to hear from us. I remember something my dad would do when I was a young boy. Before heading to work, and just as the sun peeked over the cove, he’d stroll down our long pier. I’d ask him why he occasionally walked the dock. He said he was looking for crabs attached to the poles. But, I understand now for he found his presence in God through the tranquility of the water. The bay was his church outside his actual house of worship.

Home

My wife is the editor of my blog and website. She often speaks of God’s presence while she is editing my narratives. I write my pieces, but she must find the coordinating bible verses. Many times she’s stumped finding the correct scripture. Within a few minutes of frustration, though, He puts her back in His presence and guides her hand.

The Old Testament describes the presence of God directly associated with the tabernacle in the wilderness or the temple in Jerusalem. It is here we speak of entering God’s presence for it is a place where He appointed His name, purposely for us to dwell. It is why we feel nearer to Him in church and not the building’s spatial orientation. He offers us a transforming and joyful experience within the confines of His house.

“But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.” Psalm 73:28

Regardless of how late I’m awake each night, I have to honor our Almighty in the dawn’s early light. At my tender age, I feel the love I missed most in my life, and it derives from God. His presence is in the fragrance of serenity and in the accomplishments of each nail I drive and every word I write to you. I silently pray, give me strength, dear Father, and anoint me each morning so I may better serve You and Your masterful plan. I’m honored that You chose me to be a part of that which I can’t comprehend. I keep my faith because of You, Lord.

When our heavenly Father greets us with peace and a breeze, it is a subtle reminder our life on earth is because of Him. The Bible begins and ends in the presence of God for Eden will return and expand into a new heaven and a new earth. God’s chosen people will enjoy His presence forever. Rejoice in the joy!

Surrender your sorrows for yesterday is forgiven and tomorrow is a new beginning. Render not what is yours, but what is God’s possessions, so you may be absolute in heaven. Start your day in praise and prayer. You, too, will be in God’s presence.
