Virus and Violence to Victory

Rampant corruption runs deep in our country. We hide in our homes and pray things will get better. Virus, violence, and victory… which one do you stand for?

Corruption and undermining good intentions have progressed as long as life has existed. We can start with Cain and Abel, where hate and greed dominated the soul of a brother. But bigger than this was the man who walked with Jesus named Judas. He betrayed Jesus and sold His soul for thirty pieces of silver.

What’s new today is not new at all because it’s just another viral wave of interruptions. Many people try to ward off the godly intentions of men. Through the course of history, our founding fathers fought feverishly for our freedom. A hundred years later, civil wars brought unrest, and thousands died at the hands of the enemy. Years later, we fought to protect what man deemed worthy of God’s protection.

Today, we watch another wave of hatred. It is still the men who give their sweat defending humanity’s rights from viruses and violence, so we may once again live in victory. Every war had viruses that plagued soldiers. “Agent Orange,” I remember, was the disease that killed so many of my friends who served in Vietnam. Now, COVID 19 is as viral as any war ever seen on our land. It can be said the virus and violence running through the veins of our precious country is just another attack to hinder our sweat equity.

Victory is the vibrant whispers of standing together, believing in one God, and going home to a place of peace, as our Lord Jesus promises us. No viruses or violence will be… just the sweet triumph of living where evil is not permitted behind the gates of Heaven.

I lost a talented friend and follower this week. He stood for the men who wore their sweat on their brow and was the greatest fiddle player in the world, Charlie Daniels. He gave his life to be with Christ while hoping he made this world a better home for America. I hope a comrade, a soldier, or a statue will stand in honor of this good man’s memory. God graced us with his presence. We should all be blessed to call him “friend.”

From virus to victory and all the violence we’ve endured, let us praise God for our strength, for we are stronger in numbers. No virus can claim where eternity prevails! Jesus paid our debt to be free from the sins of the world and non- believers. Rise, my friends! Our Redeemer lives graciously in our hearts and homes.

Virus and violence (is there a difference??) have no home in our hearts or home when we live in victory with Jesus. Praise God, won’t you? For it is He glowing our bright light. Listen to the lyrics, the sweet sounds of victory for God is about to bring us all home.

A Psalm of David (Psalm 108: 1-6; 12-13)

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make melody.

    Awake, my soul!

Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn.

I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples, and I will sing praises to you among the nations.

For your steadfast love is higher than the heavens, and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory be over all the earth.

Give victory with your right hand, and answer me, so that those whom you love may be rescued.

O grant us help against the foe, for human help is worthless. With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.

The Fear of God

The Bible reveals that the beginning of wisdom and knowledge is the fear of God. But this phrase, “fear of God,” has become a bit of a misnomer. The word fear denotes afraid of or threatening. So many unbelievers, today, view acknowledging a higher power is a threat to their freedom. As a result, they live in darkness with the shades drawn, blinded to the evil surrounding them. Christians understand the fear of God means standing in awesome respect of His power and majesty.

In Exodus 19:17-19, God wanted the Israelites to understand He was real and powerful. So, He asked Moses to lead them to the foot of Mount Sinai, and this event occurred…

“Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.  Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the LORD descended on it in fire. The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, the whole mountain trembled violently, and the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder. Then Moses spoke and the voice of God answered him.”

If we read the scriptures just before Exodus’ verse 17, we discover the Israelites knew several days in advance they would experience God. Most of the people laughed it off and thought Moses was a joke. But as predicted, God terrified them when they witnessed His presence on Mount Sinai. The Lord speaks of fearing Him in the Bible to stop sinning, not because He is a cruel god. He wants us to understand we should run to Him when our enemies approach us.

Moving ahead thousands of years later, what attitudes have changed today about God since Mount Sinai? Did mankind learn anything from the Israelites? My opinion is the world’s lack of faith has steeply declined, and the fear of God is nonexistent. People are unbalanced in their understanding of the Lord. They’re naïve, or perhaps uneducated, so they follow the weakest link on earth – Satan.

God is sending many signals to the world today of His power – pandemics, earthquakes, and other catastrophes. Still, many continue to ignore His signs. Just as the Israelites, they, too, will cower in fear when He returns and it will be too late.

Mentioned 365 times in the Bible, one would say the fear of God proves a point: it is time to adhere to God’s commands and not your own decisions. Take delight in fearing the Lord so you can walk in obedience and have the joy of a clean heart. It builds confidence for the judgment day, arriving soon. Fear of discipline helps us not to make mistakes. As we obey Christ, we remain in His love, and His joy will be forever in us.

The fear of God, and respecting His almighty presence, will build your eternal salvation. God bless you!

“They shall be My people, and I will be their God; then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me.”  Jeremiah 32:38-40

Who Attempted to Stop Easter?

Easter is the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection. He was part of God’s prophecy to send a Son to live a sinless life and to suffer, die, and be raised again. How else could God send the message He is sovereign over our land? Because there is no other way to enter the Kingdom of God except through His Son (John 6:44), Jesus’ mission was to save believers from God’s condemnation.

Many biblical names hated and loved Jesus while He walked the earth. Had man believed in God’s ultimate plan for Jesus, these people would have realized the attempts to stop His crucifixion and/or life were futile. Five men failed God’s test.

So, who attempted to stop Easter?

SATAN

Photo by Alessio Zaccaria on Unsplash.com

Satan and Jesus were always brutal enemies. Their most well-known confrontation was Satan’s visit while Jesus fasted in the Judaean Desert for forty nights and days. Satan tempted Him to create bread out of stones to relieve his own hunger, and leap from a pinnacle and rely on angels to break his fall. But when Satan asked Jesus to kneel before him in return for all the kingdoms of the world, Jesus became furious.

“Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’” (Matthew 4:10)

Can you imagine Satan’s fury? If he were successful in tempting Jesus, there would be no Easter. Luke 22 claims Satan was most likely at the crucifixion as he was spotted in the area days before this historical event. He probably smirked with happiness, but little did he know…

King Herod

King Herod held the throne during Jesus’s time of birth. Furious to learn there was a Messiah who would be more loved than himself, he tried to find the pregnant woman. However, his plan backfired when the three Wisemen never returned with Herod’s information. He ordered all boys, in the age range of Jesus, to be executed. An angel warned Joseph and Mary to go to Egypt for safety as it was not part of the Roman territory.

King Herod was unsuccessful in finding our baby Savior. He died, instead, attempting to stop Easter because he was not part of God’s grand plan.

THE SANHEDRIN

The chief priests, the Sanhedrin, were the Jewish council who hated Jesus. They wanted to kill him, so they looked for false evidence, such as blasphemy. Though it may appear they were fruitful in finally murdering Jesus, God’s plan overpowered their contempt. The empty tomb and Jesus’ resurrection made news. The Sanhedrin’s attempt to stop Easter failed too.

PONTIUS PILATE

Pontius Pilate was the judge who would not give the eventual decision on Jesus’ death. Consciously, Pilate knew Jesus was innocent, but the uproar of the people shouting, “Crucify him!” intimidated his decision. High-ranking Jewish officials blackmailed him to kill Jesus. Finally, he gave the ultimate choice to the people.

If Pilate ordered Jesus dead, we would always know him as the man who stopped Easter. But our powerful God had a better way to save the world.

SIMON PETER

Simon Peter was one of Jesus’ closest friends. In the Bible, Jesus often referred to him as Peter. We know his famous story as the fisherman who couldn’t catch his daily supply of fish… that is until Jesus arrived on the scene. He convinced Simon to return to his boat and drop his nets overboard. Soon  the nets overflowed with fish. Simon was a faithful follower of Jesus’ ministry, and later became an apostle.

When Simon was alerted that Jesus was arrested, he headed for Jerusalem. At the unmerciful sight of our Lord’s whipped and beaten body, he drew his sword in anger. He cut off the ear of the high priest’s servant before Jesus stopped him (John 18:10-11).

Jesus said to Simon, “Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?”

Simon Peter felt as if he failed to save his friend’s life. How could God allow this to happen if Jesus was really who He pronounced Himself to be – the Son of God? He, too, doubted his friend’s identity until God resurrected Jesus. The Lord’s plan for mankind was greater than Simon’s attempt to stop Easter.

There lies a common theme in this morning’s Easter message: God is the ultimate ruler of our life. He sent His son into the world to give us eternal salvation, but what we do with this gift is our decision.

Today, as we reflect on our lives, we beseech God to intervene with the world’s problems. May He save us from a scenario we didn’t invite into our life. Some are trying to stop us from celebrating Easter. Is this a life experience and are we part of God’s ultimate plans? You bet! The evildoers won’t or can’t stop Easter. We may not enjoy egg hunts after Easter service, but we will exult our Lord Jesus, in the name of our heavenly Father, God.

On this Easter Sunday, we are challenged – is Satan behind the mass hysteria again? You bet! How else could a virus travel so fast around the world? It’s entered places where people do not visit often. Only Satan can try to stop Easter. I, for one, won’t let him do it!

God bless all our family, friends, and subscribers! Have a blessed, healthy, and peaceful Easter.

Was It a Good Friday?

A quote was written about 539 B.C.,  just before King Solomon’s death and after God brought the Jews back from exile. Life was not always fair… it wasn’t then, and it isn’t now:

“I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.” Ecclesiastes 9:11

As far back as time prevails, religious and political persecution were prevalent. But today, we mark the holiest of days in biblical history. Jesus died for us on a Friday, and He forgave our sins so we may live as pure as possible.

In the present day’s turmoil of political unrest, the Book of Ecclesiastes remains a mirror image. Jesus’ message was to proclaim the kingdom of God, a political offense in biblical days. He spoke of what it will be like when God is the ruler of the world, and this created a conflict with Roman authorities. Does this sound familiar? Much of social media has limited or shutdown religious postings. Our missionaries and religious leaders are murdered around the world for proclaiming the kingdom of God.

But Jesus’ issue with the Roman Empire was the sacrilegious offenses occurring within the temple of Jerusalem. It had become the NY Stock Exchange of its day, and worse yet, the high priests were getting a cut of all the money. These priests became wealthy from international trade. Jesus was appalled because the temple was to be a house of prayer – not corruption. To avoid a massive upheaval, the people arrested Him at night. And yes, it was the Jewish citizen’s decision to murder Jesus, not the government. If they killed Him and His true identity truly was the Messiah, the government would reap serious consequences. It was better to let the people decide our Lord’s fate.

As the crowds in Jerusalem shuffled to and fro, Jesus quietly displayed his condemnation against the ungodly government power and corrupt system. He rode a donkey into their town. Believers who knew of Him waved palms at His entrance. Others gasped in disbelief at “the king of Jew’s” entrance. He was sadly aware of His fate.

Jesus’ crucifixion was not just hanging on a cross, it was torture – a violent death. They whipped Him beyond sight with an iron ring that had six or seven leather straps. It had bone or metal attached to the ends to rip the flesh away, and then He was made to carry His own heavy cross.

Copyright by LUMO Project (Big Book Media)/ FreeBibleImages.org

Under normal circumstances, hanging upside-down was a quick death, but that was too easy for the punishment of Jesus. The thick nails piercing the palms of His hands and feet were excruciating and led to the dropping of His body pressure. Yet, He stayed alive for six hours on the cross, suffering for you and me. Jesus Christ died for our sins so we could live as pure a life as possible on earth.

Oh, the political Jews and pagans thought they won the war!

On Sunday morning, let us sing His praises and commemorate the reign of this holy man who sacrificed His life for us. With corruption running rampant in biblical days, there was only one way God could prove his identity – allow His Son to mingle with disbelievers three days later. They would surely understand our Father, God, not mankind, rules this world! So, for the next forty days after Jesus’ resurrection, He preached the mighty awesome power of His Father in heaven.

I would like you to test your faith by looking in the mirror on this day. Was it a Good Friday? What have you learned? Would you surrender your life, as Jesus did for you, by hanging on a cross? Are you able to discuss with others what Christianity means to you? Can you evangelize, or do you fear for your life? Do you study the Bible regularly? If you responded “yes” to all of these questions, your deep faith will be honored on earth and in heaven. As for those wavering on a “yes” answer, it is time to analyze your faith and love for Jesus Christ. He will wait for you….

Waiting on His Return

We are familiar with the details of Christ’s fanfare when He returns amidst trumpets sounding across the land. The clouds will break open, and God’s light will shine as He returns. We can visualize the dead rising first as He calls us home. But, what if…

What if you sat on your porch and a man with a long, white robe and long, flowing hair approached you? Would you know instantly everything you learned and read was correct about Jesus? What if He came to your steps and said, “Are you ready?”

Would you think… is my bed made? Am I dressed appropriately? Is my home in order and bills paid? Is the laundry piled high by the bathroom sink? Is your house tidy or in complete disarray, just like your life? Would you tell Jesus, “let me get my wallet and cellphone?”

I wonder how many people will have the strength to follow Him? I’m sure some who claim to be of great faith, will fall flat on their face, kneel in forgiveness, and try to repent of their sins. But, it will be too late for those actions are to happen in this life. When Christ arrives for you, there will not be another chance or a rain check. Some will answer the calling, and some will miss the opportunity.

It will be a sad situation, especially when it involves those closest to us. For example, good Christians raise their children in the House of the Lord. But, as those generations turn into adults, they seek other means of comfort. Such vices include the drug scene, alcohol, sexual promiscuity, atheism, and crime. If God were to return today, we would never see our children again. It is taught that if we do everything possible to train our kids to have a strong spiritual nature, they will eventually return to their roots. Children are a gift from God, and He demands parents to raise them according to His laws. Teach them well so they, too, will walk from the porch with the Lord.

Our Father has given us everything in life, yet asked nothing in return except to honor Him. So, I wonder about the smug hypocrites who use the church to hide from their sin and faults. Will their unconscionable mind realize the wrongness of their logic? God is just and kind, but the Bible reveals hypocrites will also be severely judged at the end of time:

The condition of your home, or how well you are dressed will be gone forever when the Lord arrives at the sound of a trumpet. His appearance will be shocking and scary for those less prepared to face Him. I contemplate the unfolding events of our stand before His throne. If we bow and offer excuses for our sin, will God raise His right hand and say, “NO MORE! Begone!” Or will He whip out His “Book of Life” and start reciting all of our mistakes? The Bible reveals the answer:

I don’t have a clue if Christ will come through the clouds or arrive on your doorstep, but I can only emphasize this – don’t wait to prepare for His second coming! Start today by asking forgiveness of your sins, and never return to those wicked ways. Serve your fellowman in His holy name. Turn away from evil, and praise His name. Guide yourself and family to the heavens above so you all may be richly rewarded at the end of time. Every day you wait, is one less day you have to get things right before God.

As for me… I’m prepared and waiting on His return, covered in the blood of Christ.

Isn’t It Time for Some Good News?

I open Google and social media each day, and the negative news floods the pages. People are murdering the innocent with fortitude, a grim reminder Satan still walks the earth. Those with the gold try to pass absurd laws for citizens to follow while they release the guilty to commit more crimes. Lines are drawn in the dirt as men of power speak lies. We, the meek, are artists left to draw our own conclusions. Today, I sit outside in the rain to witness God’s tears of sadness as I pray for those who desperately need His help. But every now and again, we might glimpse His holy goodness.

So, isn’t it time for some good news? God is coming soon to save the faithful and who believe He is the great healer of all our pain. Prophecy promises He will honor those who uphold His holy name.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4 NIV

Let’s make hope the new headlines! The brown lawns will soon resonate to a gorgeous green, and budding plants will regain their strength. Even in times of disaster, we can witness God showing His power, and mankind, together, fights off evil as one. Many non-believers, especially overseas, have found the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Isn’t this a joy to share with others? Let us join hands in solidarity and honor God, for He will be the successor! Spread the hope of salvation to everyone!

Today, I challenge every man, woman, and child to become a leader for God. Sweep away the dead foliage of yesterday, and salt the icy bricks so we can climb the steps to heaven’s gates. Let your Christian faith shine through in every aspect of your life! Make positive changes that reflect God’s love and spread His good news.

“A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 17:22 NIV

Memorize scriptures with a strong heart and an encouraging message. It will improve your relationships, health, and happiness. Learn new ways to replace the old negative ones. Pray for the Lord to show you the way for He is in total control of your life.

Yes! YOU will be the good news this world is so desperate to find! Faith unto us has great continuity.

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2  NIV

God bless you, my friends!

The Inevitable Destiny of Mankind

www.danabicksauthor.com

Last weekend the world suffered an incredible loss of talent. As Kobe Bryant’s helicopter lay smoldering at the foothills of the mountains, people gasped in disbelief and choked back tears. Social media and our television sets covered the headlines to report on the death of nine great lives. It will forever change the surviving families as the Lord anoints them with hope and peace.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

1 Peter 5:10

A Facebook posting caught my attention about this tragedy, and it sparked me to write today’s message. The posting spoke of the horror Kobe must have felt in those last seconds when he recognized they would all die.

Death is the inevitable destiny of mankind. It’s not a pretty sight or an engaging act for those left behind to pick up the pieces. Most people never want to think about this unpleasant topic until faced with a funeral or a deadly illness. Yes, it’s scary to think only Jesus could conquer death as He rose from the dead. Our loved ones submit to their fate, and we are assured their body will never walk on this land again, unlike Jesus… yet the irony is incredibly sad.

I’m not sure of the other passenger’s backgrounds on the helicopter, but I know Kobe Bryant was an active Catholic. He attended mass and Holy Communion hours before the crash, at an Orange County church. Much of his tumultuous past was shaded in gray. Marital discord and loss of sponsorships plagued him for many years. But, just like of all of us, he had sins to conquer before the Lord. He knew only God could forgive him, so in 2003 he turned to the church for consolation and hope.

His love for the welfare of mankind surpassed all dignity. In December, he witnessed a horrible car crash in Newport Beach, California. Videos captured the moment he ran to the cars and pulled everyone to safety. He stayed by their side, speaking comforting words of love until paramedics arrived at the scene.

Kobe supported seven charities and fourteen causes. His dedication to children and their future was always at the front seat of his life. There is a lesson to be learned from Kobe about compassion and spreading God’s love!

Good practicing Christians should always be ready for their inevitable destiny. If I were a betting man, I’d place a wager Kobe prayed, like never before, in those last few seconds of his life. God heard his prayers because He, too, grieved the unjust execution of His Son, Jesus. He understands our pain. But, the Lord is rich in mercy, and He opened His arms to all those passengers on the helicopter.

Death is part of living – it is our fate set in stone by Adam and Eve. In my opinion, though, nothing is sadder than the death of an adult who never accepted Christ into their life before their mortality. As Jesus taught us, we are to confess our sins, pray for forgiveness, and never return to them. If we commit these deeds, we are assured of living with our Father in heaven. Christians should rejoice in knowing God has lovingly addressed our need for forgiveness. It clears the way for those we leave behind, and they can celebrate our eternal life with Christ.

Seek comfort in knowing God is the one in full control of our lives. He pre-planned our birth and death. Nothing and no one on earth can change our fate. It is futile to place blame for a person’s death because it was our destiny from the very beginning of life. Take solace in knowing physical death is just the start of our spiritual journey with Jesus Christ. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate a good Christian’s life!

May the surviving families of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, John, Keri, and Alyssa Altobelli, Payton and Sarah Chester, Christina Mauser, and pilot Ara Zobayan rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.

America’s Prophecy… the End

In the night’s quiet, I arrived home from work. It was peaceful and calm, but in my subconscious mind, a volcano of thought was about to spew onto paper. Under a cloudless sky of endless frustration, my imagination exploded with a horrific thought. Our political arena comes to my mind, but before I let logic equate the scenario, I must refer to the place all things begin – the BIBLE. Allow me to share the first thing my eyes set on…

[During the first four trumpets, each nation will be forced to suspend its constitution so that martial law can be enacted. Given the size and scope of God’s wrath, world leaders will do whatever it takes to maintain control. Food and water supplies will be rationed. Medical care and energy reserves will be scarce. Hunger and thirst will drive millions of dazed and bewildered people crazy. Extreme situations require desperate solutions. Earth’s population has never seen a global crisis like the first four trumpets. The crisis will be so huge that political leaders in every nation will be set free of their constitutional obligations almost immediately. This freedom will permit them to enact and enforce laws they would have strongly opposed during normal times. The declaration of martial law will make it very easy for lawmakers to comply with the demands of Babylon’s clergy. Given the fact that something must be done to appease God, very few citizens will complain – at first.]

READ THE COMPLETE ARTICLE HERE: https://www.danielrevelationbiblestudies.com/Martial_Law.htm

Yes, my friends in Christ, martial law is written in scriptures! I highly encourage you to read the full article by following the link. It is profound to know America is in prophecy. My faith is in God as I now see the direction this nation is headed soon. I look no further than the borders of my yard for a source of peace for God gives me the strength to do all things through faith.

God blesses me with messages to relay to my followers, and many calls me eccentric or bazaar. As Jesus spoke, His messengers will be mocked and doubted, and I accept the role. However, this blog is not my prediction but straight out of the Bible, in the Book of Daniel.

I often speak, in quiet corners, about martial law in America. Today they soften those harsh words to “State of Emergency” situations. They are unpredictable and maybe scary but revealed in the Books of Daniel and Revelation. I will not attempt to interject my thoughts into this article for you will read it and draw your conclusions.

As we watch events unfold in the United States and the Middle East, the balance of power falls into the grip of the most powerful nations. The correlation between prophecy and scripture is uncanny. Our open borders, lawlessness, and sovereign territory are now infiltrated by self-servant beliefs, religions, and cults. They brainwash even our children, as prophesied, to believe other forms of capitalism is healthier than our longstanding democracy. The book, Lord of the Flies, comes to mind. No one can govern themselves without disastrous consequences!

In a pun, I say the word Bible stands for “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.” The truth is, it is written by philosophers and astrologers who predicted, two thousand years ago, the events we face now and in the near future. But, the prophet, Daniel, saw the vision of martial law, or loss of our liberty. How profound!

Daniel the Prophet

So, what would Jesus say to us today about America’s circumstances? I believe He would say though we can’t change the evilness of the world, but we can allow God to change us. Thoughts run deep, and I’m unable to put my writing tablet down long enough to pour another cup of coffee. How many of our friends and family members will live through martial law? How many will place God in their heart and soul for eternal salvation? Does it scare you many of us will never see our loved ones again?

My heart tremors for God is coming to rule… no doubt, it’s the beginning of the end.

FAITH 101

Faith is an interesting topic which I examined from many perspectives – atheism, Christians, and other religions. I’ve witnessed its results in many unexpected situations and outcomes. Faith, according to Hebrews 11:1, is “being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” We are born with the ability to have faith. But, for as many followers who trust in God, too many are non-believers or kinda/maybe believers. So I ask myself, how can I exploit the wonderful acts of God? How can I assure my readers God is real and lives inside every one of us? How can I teach you what I was taught about faith?

I could start with the physical proof of the Bible. Archeologists recently uncovered evidence of biblical stories such as the finding of the steps which led into the pool of Siloam and tombs in Nazareth. Technology is fantastic for it uncovers the truths of the Bible dating back to the beginning of time. But, unfortunately, doubters still block out the unearthing and go their merry way as doubters in a world of faith followers.

Pool of Siloam in the city of Jerusalem. It is here Jesus restored the eyesight of a man born blind.

What about unexplainable miracles which occur to many people? Accidents, where angel forms appear in pictures, happen all the time. Victims were unscathed and listed as a survivor. Then, my personal story is labeled miraculous by a minister. God instructed me ten years ago to get out of bed and write His messages. I was an undereducated carpenter who knew nothing about writing, and today I lead a blog with twenty million readers. God, like us, has a great sense of humor. Ok, many people do not believe in miracles either, but this phenomenon can create questions in the minds of non-believers.

Perhaps a better approach to explain the concept of faith to an unbeliever is by an example…

Have you ever experienced a backed-up septic system? You can’t call a repairman because it’s expensive, so you contemplate fixing the problem yourself using a different solution. At the local hardware store, the salesperson reaches for a box of “Rid-X” and tells you to follow the instructions. You hop in the car with the box sitting firmly next to you and think, “Man, I hope this works!” At bedtime, you pour it into the bowl and flush it twice, just as the instructions described on the label. Standing nervous over the “throne,” you say,  “LORD, PLEASE LET THIS WORK!” Oh, wait! I thought you didn’t believe in God? How can you call on God to help when you don’t believe in Him? If you are an agnostic or atheist, you just sinned against your own belief for you prayed to a higher power to help with an emergency.

How many times have you heard the expression, “just have faith, all will work out”? These words are an assurance of things we hope for but not yet received. Faith comes before answered prayer or before an individual has received what they requested from God. In sharp contrast, those who take for granted they don’t need a “God” in their life – look out! Christ is not a plumber, so stop praying to the wrong “throne”! Instead, find a friend who can guide you to a church where the plumbing is routed straight to heaven. At least you will not be misled by Satan’s evil sludge. Put God first, and it will surprise you how simple life is when He’s figured into the equation.

The basic theory of Faith 101 believes in God’s existence even though you cannot see Him. He designed it this way to distinguish between those who belong to Him and those who won’t, in death. If you have faith, God will reveal himself fully to you. His integrity is perfect.

I serve a mighty and awesome Lord, and I promise, through prayer, everything is fixable. The best policy to invest in for any homeowner is Faith 101. ~~www.danabicksauthor.com~~
