OUR BIBLE SHARING TEXT FOR TODAY (John 3:13-17 )

God sent his Son so that through him the world might be saved
Jesus said to Nicodemus:
‘No one has gone up to heaven
except the one who came down from heaven,
the Son of Man who is in heaven;
and the Son of Man must be lifted up
as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert,
so that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.
Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost
but may have eternal life.
For God sent his Son into the world
not to condemn the world,
but so that through him the world might be saved.’

WHAT HAS TOUCHED ME

The words that have touched me are: ” so that through him the world might be saved.”
These words touch me because I see the world drifting towards perdition because of our lack belief. I see that if we continue living the way we are living, the world will be destroyed. Yet, God has made it possible for us to save the world. I wonder why we are not making use of this opportunity. I feel challenged to make sure that through him, I am saved.

RESOLUTION
I resolve to stay rooted in the Lord, so that I may have eternal life.y

WORD OF LIFE
My word of life is believe. Today, I shall renew my belief in Jesus Christ by praying the prayer “I believe in God the Father, Almighty…” I shall pray many times.

PRAYER

Our Father, who are in heaven, blessed be your mighty name. I believe in you O Lord, and pray you to strengthen my belief. Make me to love you, to trust you, and to put my heart fully you. This, I pray through Christ our Lord, Amen!

Share today 1

“Sharing”, as someone has said, “is caring’. If you care, you will share. If you don’t are, you will keep all that you have to yourself.

Caring is loving. To care means to love.

We are inviting those who care to share with us.

There is always something to share. We can always love and care.

When many people hear the word share, their minds immediately go to money or material things.

Yes, of course, we can share money or material things if we want, but that is not all that we can share.

We can share love. We can share information, knowledge, ideas. We can share our time. We can share the word of God.

On this site we will share as much as we can; anything we can to inspire, motivate, encourage, and help one another on our journey to realize our highest potential.

The first thing I would like the first person to share is knowledge. When I was using a laptop, I could easily find my past post and reedit and repost. With android, I am unable to do it. Who can share how to do it?

By the way, what do you thing of this idea of sharing? On this site we believe very much in solidarity blogging. Helping one another succeed. What do you think?

Thanks for reading and blessings to you!

We share what we know;
We share what we have;
We share all our blessings;
Because we care.

Top secret love

I am secretly in love
I don’t want to say who;
It’s a top secret love;
I have never shown it;
Never spoken about it;
But the love is eating me;
It’s eating deep into me;
I keep it to myself,
Because I don’t know
How it will be taken
If I break the news;
I have fears and worries;
I don’t want to lose
My most precious prize;
The one I so much love;
That I so secretly love;
So I am keeping it;
It’s a real top secret love;
Are you anxious to know;
I will tell you;
I won’t tell another;
But I will tell you;
I will reveal this secret
Only you;
The reason is it’s
A big secret love;
Only two persons
Should know about this;
Me and my secret love;
It’s a sweet feeling I have;
Because I am in this love;
And let me share my secret
With you, only with you;
And the one
I secretly love is you.

Inspiration through Bible Sharing 2

Our sharing text for today is taken from the Gospel of St. Matthew. Chapter 27:1-9.

Jesus took Peter, John and James and led them up a high mountain. There his appearance was changed before their eyes. Even his clothes shone, becoming as white as no bleach of this world could make them. Elijah and Moses appeared to them; the two were talking with Jesus.

Then Peter spoke and said to Jesus, “Master, it is good that we are here; let us make three tents, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” For he did not know what to say; they were overcome with awe. But a cloud formed, covering them in a shadow, and from the cloud came this word, “This is my Son, the Beloved; listen to him.” And suddenly, as they looked around, they no longer saw anyone except Jesus with them.

As they came down the mountain, he ordered them to tell no one what they had seen, until the Son of Man be risen from the dead. So they kept this to themselves, although they discussed with one another what ‘to rise from the dead’ could mean.

  • Can you report on how you lived yesterday’s word of life?
  • Say a short prayer to end the sharing.

My sharing

What has touched me

The words that touch me most are the words “the Beloved, listen to him.”

They touch me because they are coming straight from God. Jesus Christ is God’s ‘Beloved’ and he commands us to listen to him. It is God’s command that we listen to Jesus. If we don’t listen to him, we disobey God.

After getting this message , I will obey this command. I will listen to Jesus. His voice is permanently talking to me in the Gospels. I will listen to him and try to the best of my ability to follow his teaching.

Word of life

My word of life for the day is listen. I will listen to Jesus throughout this day. This means I will spend time reading his thoughts and words and listening. And after listening, I will talk to him in prayer.

This will keep me rooted to Christ and we will be close.

Yesterday, my word of life was ‘kneel”. I effectively knelt before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and talked to him. I felt close and loved and I was happy. I pleaded with Jesus to help me sail successfully through the work in my hands in the days ahead.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for your grace which has made it possible for me to read and reflect on and share your word. Grant me brothers and sisters in this forum the grace to better know, understand and love you.

This is my humble prayer through Christ our Lord, Amen!

Invitation to share

I invite you to share as I have done if you are inspired. If you are not motivated, pray for motivation. Be aware that God answers sincere prayers that you pray in faith.

Play your part

Did you hear the call?
It was clear and powerful;
Though it came from
The silent voice of God;
God’s silent
Louder voice,
Than the loudest human voice;
He has called you
To take up cutlass and hoe
In hand,
And get into his vineyard;
Where there is work to do;
Each one their share
Of work they have;
You have your share,
I have my share;
Others have their share;
And working together,
God’s kingdom will be built.
No one can build it alone;
All hands are needed on deck;
So you answer your call,
And play your part
In the Lord’s vineyard.

Sharing ideas ( Be inspired today 289 by Ngobesing Suh Romanus)

When we share ideas,
Don’t be angry
If we disagree;
We may disagree
To agree;
That happens often;
If we only agree,
We may not grow;
No one will shout
When someone is
Going wrong;
You may dance to death
And the only
Will only agree,
Fearing to hurt you
Kills you
In brought day light
Inadvertently.
So my friend,
When we share ideas,
Though we differ,
Don’t take offence.

Challenges of employment and unemployment

What are the challenges of unemployment in your country?
Why is employment so important in every country?
Why do many countries find it hard
to handle unemployment?
Is it because many leaders have departed from God that they are unable to handle unemployment?
Would getting close to God
By loving him and obeying him
Help world leaders solve the problem of unemployment
In their countries?
Let us talk. Say something.

Save a girl. Are you ready? Will you?

Have you seen this letter? If you think it can save a girl somewhere, why not make it get to as many girls as you can.

I have seen so many girls who have fallen victim to situations they could have avoided or escaped from, but they didn’t know until they landed in trouble.

Knowledge is wealth you know. Just a short piece of advice like what we have in this letter can-do wonders for lots of girls.

Please, share and let it reach many.

Thanks for your generosity.

Prayer for food

God our Father,
Thank you for creating food
And making so much if it
Available to humanity;
We have so much food
In the farms,
In markets
And in some homes.
Thank you for the farmers
Who produce this food.
We all need food;
That is one language
That everybody speaks
And understands;
We all need food;
Whether we are young
Or we are old;
Whether we are rich or poor,
Whether we are leaders or followers;
We need food;
Food is good and bad;
Food builds but also destroys;
We cannot do without food;
People are healthy and happy
When they eat good, delicious food;
Many people fall sick
Because they don’t eat
Good food;
When people cannot afford
Food to eat, they are sad;
God our Father,
We pray for food;
We pray for more and good food
For everybody;
We pray that you help us
To share the food in the world
In a way that everybody
Will have a fair share
And be happy.
Stop the starvation
That is going on in the world;
Stop giving so much food
To some people
And nothing to many others.
O Lord, stop the fighting,
That is rocking the world
Because of food.
Again,
Thank you for all our food;
Amen!

Prayer for an excellent world

O Good Master, King of Glory,

Master of heaven and earth;

Here I am, still in bed,

Rolling from side to side,

In fear, doubt and worry,

Thinking about my day,

Thinking about my future;

Thinking about your plan

For my life this day;

And the year ahead;

Thinking about your plan

For us and our country;

As I lie here looking up,

Thinking of where to go

From here, my eyes are full

Of tears as I see a future

That does not give me hope;

How can tears not fill my eyes

When so many were brutally killed

This night in wicked

And meaningless fighting;

Violence, wars?

I can see blood all over;

Total despair grips me;

But I cannot forget, O Lord,

That you are here with me;

You have given us assurance

That you will be with us,

In good and bad times;

That even when the storms

Are raging,

We have no reason to doubt

If we put our trust in you;

Yes, O Lord, you are

The beginning and the end;

The start and the finish;

You are both the door

And the key that opens

That door;

What you decree, no one can

Change.

Grant us the wisdom

To know what is right;

To do what is right:

And what will bring glory

To your holy and almighty name,

Now, today, and for ever.

Protect me and my loved ones

This day and forever as you

Have always done;

Protect all your children

Who are living in fear

Of the unknown;

Not sure to see

Even the next hour;

Not to talk of the next day;

There are many who are living

In great fear;

There are many who are worried;

There are many who go hungry,

With no food to eat

In the mist of plenty;

In a world of abundance;

Destroyed by the sheer greed

Of hawks everywhere,

Who want to be the only cocks

To crow;

There are many everywhere

Who live on hills,

Not in homes,

But in the open air;

What the future holds,

They don’t know;

They live at your mercy alone.

Grant O Lord,

That a way may be found for them

To return to their homes

And live in peace for ever after.

Bring justice to the world;

We live in a world where injustice

Is the order of the day;

Where dishonest people

Find their way through

Unscrupulous means,

While honest ones suffer;

Come into our hearts O Lord,

Fill us with the right spirit;

So that we live not as we like,

But in accordance with your word

And your plan for us and the world.

On you alone we count for justice

In the world;

And love and peace;

We are tired of hate burning

The world;

Consuming the world;

Destroying the world;

We humans have failed ourselves;

Only you can we trust.

All our hope is in you.

Save us;

Stand always by us as you have promised,

Amen!
