Promise

On sail you are
In waters
So troubled;
The storm is violent,
As if controlled
By the devil’s agents;
Scared you are,
As never before;
That, I read
In your eyes;
But rest assured
All will be well;
I shall send my angels
To steer you home;
And not a single hair
On your head
Shall be lost;
But this will happen
Only if you believe
In my word;
This is the promise
I make to you.

A Man Called Christian

My windows were wide open, but tears resonating from the house next door  hampered the refreshing molecules. I wondered… what kind of man makes a wife cry? The sobbing was an every night occurrence. He arrived home again and again, in the wee hours. She told me he worked late, but I doubted it.

He opened the door and kissed the kids goodnight while they stood at the mirror, brushing their teeth. Without a kiss for her, he told his wife he was going out back to work in the shop. “It relaxes me after a hard day’s work,” he claimed. She made dinner, so he grabbed the plate of food and headed to his hideout. The pain sharpened as a dagger twisted, once again, by his careless appearance. The back door slammed again and silence.

He locked himself away safely in the shed and pulled out a knife to snap off the top of a bottle buried in the chest. Whittling his world away, he hid his sorrows in the bottom of a longneck bottle. His state of mind included carving the names of his exes in the bottom of his soles so he could save himself from sin. Several hours later, he staggered to bed and slammed the door shut again. So, the screaming begun behind the blinds. It’s a horrible life for a wife to witness and endure, and only God could save the innocent from the terror of his conscience.

What kind of Christian man puts his family on a bus Sunday morning and stumbles to the shed for his own benediction? He opened another bottle for his personal communion. As he stared at the ground, he chuckled at the buried empties; meanwhile, a poor twenty-something mother of three, put on a face and filed into the aisle of a sanctuary. She has no money for the offering plate and seeks only the strength to make it home.

I ask God in heaven for His mercy. My heart is wrenched by a man named Christian who carves his past in the bottom of his boots. His days are numbered… he will soon discover if God doesn’t show His wrath first, then the bottle will. His wife bears a name she hates so much, and her three little ones will have to endure the legacy of their father’s misfortune. Are there prayers in heaven for a man who calls himself Christian? I wonder…

The day will come when the blood he bled will be no more. Three little children will have to fend for themselves while their mother struggles to support their mere existence. Her sacrifice is to put on an apron and do her best every single day. The kids now sit on the porch and carve their past into the treads of their own little world. I watch and pray God will bless this mess – the man called Christian, now left beneath his unmarked tombstone. A coward at best, he carved his memory into his children, and his reputation branded them for life.

I have changed the names in this story. I ask God, in the name of Jesus, to save this family. God bless the innocent, abused wife who slaves her life away and waits for Christ’s return. She prays for the forgiveness of the hatred boiling inside her for a man she thought she knew named Christian.

Handling differences in marriage

Many marriages are characterized by squabbles. Husband and wife are more or less permanently bickering. Peace between them is a far-fetched dream; violence the order of the day.

Marriage wrangling is commonplace.

What you need to know is that one of the main causes of difficulties in your marriage is your filters; the fact that you and your spouse come from different backgrounds.

None of you is a bad person. It is simply that different experiences have shaped your thinking and consequently your behavior.

As husband and wife, therefore, you are bound to have many differences. In some cases, deep differences.

You think your spouse should see things like you and your spouse thinks you should see things like them.

Since it is not easy for both of you to throw away ways which you have known all along to embrace those of the other, you find yourself clashing on very minute issues.

Some clashes start small but grow big and threaten the very survival of your marriage.

The solution lies in accepting and celebrating your differences. Know that you must be different in many ways whether you like it or not. This is the reality of all marriages.

Accept those ways of your spouse that are different from yours. Let them enrich rather than impoverish your marriage.

Of course, this is easier said than done. At times, you will feel anger welling up in you and you will feel like exploding.

This is where prayer comes in. Each time it happens, pray about it. God is ever ready to come to your aid.

Enjoy your marriage!

Trump Confounds the Left and They Just Don’t Get It [Video]

Trump vs. Antifa

In the first half of President Trump’s first term, political and cultural turmoil has seemed the norm. The consensus of opinion is that America is a ‘divided country.’ One can read that phrase in every news outlet from Left to Right these days.

However, far fewer would agree about the reason for the hostilities. The conservative would say the Left’s juvenile and violent behavior is the reason.

The Left would blame, surprise, (sarc) President Trump. In a manner, both of them are correct.

Blame could be assigned to the president because he has chosen to resist the mantra of the Left. He doesn’t fall into line as Republican Presidents have before.

In that manner, Trump is guilty of confounding the Left and motivating them to stir division and hatred, all the while blaming him for their actions.

Trump Confounds the Left

Inset.image.1.11.9.2018

President Donald John Trump truly confounds the Leftist Political establishment. That’s because he is unlike any politician they have yet dealt with, in three particular ways.

  1. Trump doesn’t need the job. He can afford to brush aside Leftist critics because he can be independent.
  2. Trump isn’t docile. Unlike previous presidents, he will hit back when he feels criticism is unwarranted.
  3. Trump taps into the people directly. He is masterful at circumventing the Leftmedia through social media and the internet.

These factors combined with the President’s boundless drive and the dedication of his base make him an enigma to leftists. An enigma they are not equipped to solve.

The Left is sent into apoplectic shock when trying to deal with Trump. They have thrown all the vitriol they can at this president to no apparent avail.

The Leftmedia, in particular, are extreme in their hatred for everything about President Trump. They are so absolutely sure that they are in the right that ordinary rules of decorum should not apply to them.

Here is a recent example from CNN’s Jim Acosta. He thinks he is so important that he can ignore rules everyone else has to obey.

This is but the latest of Acosta’s grandstanding and making the story about him. He was justly rewarded for his vanity and bullying by having his White House press credentials revoked.

The Left Will Never Understand

Inset.image.2.11.9.2018The idealogical Left will never understand Trump and his supporters. They are not emotionally equipped to do so.

The Left cannot tolerate discent because they believe they are the educated elite among us. Therefore, they think they are more enlightened than the rest of us and we should listen to them.

This attitude results in a narcissitic view of life. Scratch a true leftist and a grandiose self-importance lies beneath.

This has been evident to anyone who has tracked the speeches of former President Obama both in and out of office. He exemplifies the narcissism of the political Left.

In a mesmerizing video, Grabien highlights all the times Obama referenced himself in his speech at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday. The total tally: a stunning 119 times. …those 119 self-references surpass the 76 times he referenced himself in his 33-minute gun control speech on Jan 5, 2016, the 28 times he brought himself up in a 12-minute speech following a mass shooting Oct 1, 2015, and just barely edges the incredible 118 times he talked about ol’ Barry in a 33-minute speech in India on Jan. 27, 2015.

In fact, Obama used the first-person singular 199 times in a speech on the economy in Austin, TX. The 2014 remarks were 5,500 words long and,

In President Obama’s speech, he used a first person singular, on average, every 12 seconds.

The most recent exhibition of the former president’s sense of self-importance came during the run-up to the 2018 midterm elections. He decided to continue an unprecedented series of public critiques of the current holder of the presidency.

Bill Whittle gives an excellent analysis of this in a video recorded on 11/5/2018, the day before the election.

Leftist Self-Importance Leads to Fascism

Inset.image.3.11.9.2018One of the latest screeds from the Left is that President Trump is constantly ‘attacking’ the media and the First Amendment. They don’t like that he has called them “fake news,” and “the enemy of the people.”

While name-calling may not be nice, it can hardly be called an attack on freedom of the press. The “fake news” people haven’t been ordered by Trump to stop airing or printing stories, no matter how false.

CNN and their allies may call the yanking of Acosta’s credentials an attack on a free press. In reality it was preventing a showboat from monopolizing the microphone so that others in the press could exercise their rights.

Conversely, the Left has engaged in acts to supress press freedom. Back in 2013, Obama’s Department of Justice illegally spied on reporters, seized records from reporters, and even invaded the home of a journalist.

a federal SWAT raid on a reporter’s home, which resulted in the seizure of her private notes and the likely unmasking of whistleblowers within government. Following revelations about lawless spying on reporters and even charges against a journalist of being a “conspirator” by the Justice Department, the explosive story about the raid unveiled last week is causing a fresh wave of outrage — and deep concern.

The “wave of outrage” and “concern” was short-lived in the Leftmedia of that time. The story was gently pushed aside after a short period of obligatory reporting.

Inset.image.4.11.9.2018Obama was never called a “fascist” after engaging in this clearly fascistic behavior. Trump is called a fascist non-stop by every left-wing journalist, politician, and activist.

Since Trump became president, real fascism has become a common tactic of the Left. One of the leading organizations participating in this is the misnamed ‘Antifa,’ short for ‘anti-fascists.’

The cowardly thugs of Antifa are now infamous for their Gestapo-like tactics at their “protests.” People are routinely bullied, and beaten, and harassed if they express any doubt or defiance of the Left’s storm troopers known as Antifa.

One of Antifa’s satellite organizations known as “Smash Racism DC” recently protested outside in a mob outside the home of FOX News personality Tucker Carlson. He was preparing for his show but his wife was there alone fearing the screeching fascists who almost broke down Carlson’s door.

Shortly before Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson was set to begin Wednesday’s edition of his show, a mob of Antifa protestors descended on his Washington, D.C. area home to threaten him and his family with violence.

Resisting the Left’s “Resistance”

A symbolic title the radical Left has given itself is the “resistance.” This is another misnomer for these miscreants based on their phony labeling of Trump and his supporters as Nazi’s.

They have borrowed the term from the French “Resistance” against Nazi occupation in WWII. The Left uses such a term as they use most words, to bolster their own self-righteous actions.

Inset.image.5.11.9.2018Why do they continue in this hateful direction? It is because they simply cannot admit their own error.

They remind me of a line from the mini-series Nuremberg, spoken by the character of Hermann Goering to a group of fellow prisoners. One former Nazi general blurts out that Hitler should not have committed suicide.

He states that, instead, Hitler should be facing the judgment alongside them. Goering explodes opposing that view because it would mean something intolerable.

It would mean they would be giving the world license to denounce Hitler and Nazism wholesale. It would mean they would have to say, “We were wrong,” and that cannot be abided.

The Left has the same mindset as the brainwashed minions of Hitler. They would rather do or say anything rather than admit, “we were wrong.”

There are two tactics I suggest briefly to aid in resisting the ‘resistance’ movement. First off, engage in patience with prayer, followed by persistence with purpose.

Patience and prayer were presented in more detail in my last piece. Persistence with a purpose must be framed in terms of what the purpose is.

The purpose of resisting the unholy leftist ‘resistance’ is to advance toward a more free republic in a righteous manner. This requires a fully rational, reasonable and peaceful response to political and personal attacks.

It also requires a level of self-knowledge and humility which will admit that help from the LORD is necessary to succeed. Invite God to become the decision-guide for our lives and for a righteous response to the malevolent Left.

These are the best places to start as individuals and to continue with as like-minded groups. Pray, plan, and persist with patience and God’s purpose, the best purpose will prevail.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7 [ESV]

Leftist Abuse of the First Amendment, Part 2 [Video]

First Amendment

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution was crafted to help ensure five different fundamental freedoms, religion, speech, press, peaceful assembly, and to petition the government.

This is the text of the First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, or to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The Left of recent years has engaged in abuse of at least four of those rights. Last time we examined the abuse of the freedoms of religion and speech. Here we will survey the leftist abuse of the freedom of the press and the freedom to peaceably assemble.

Abuse of the Freedom of the Press

Image.article.8.25.2018The ‘press’ of today encompasses the news/media complex of print media, radio, broadcast networks, cable news, and the fast-growing internet world including social and anti-social media.

This may be the easiest freedom to abuse because it can be hidden under a veneer of professionalism and ethics. It also happens to be an easy way to leverage influence and power toward a personal or corporate agenda.

The agenda of the Leftmedia is an active promotion of socialism. Since the election of Donald Trump, this has been tethered to an incessant and hostile denigration of him and his administration.

Examples of this kind of conduct are legion. I have covered many of them in past articles. This is a persistent theme seen in response to every action the president takes or proposal he makes. This hostility extends to anyone in his administration and even his family and friends.

One of the more recent demonstrations of abusing freedom of the press came in response to Education Secretary Nancy DeVoss’ suggestion for perhaps arming some teachers in the classroom. Here is a portion of that response.

PBS White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor… claims she has spoken with advocates who believe any programs that arm teachers will pose a threat to minority students. “If you start arming teachers, there are black and brown students … who are being disciplined more than their white counterparts, you could then start seeing statistics where potentially black students are getting shot or in accidents when their teachers are trying to shoot or do gun safety measures,” Alcindor claimed.

The suggestion that arming teachers will be a threat to minority students is both ridiculous and racist. It is an incendiary comment meant to stir up racial tensions and demean a member of Trump’s cabinet.

As far as the Left is concerned, the fact that a blow can be aimed at the Second Amendment is a bonus benefit. This is a terrible abuse of the freedom of the press to spread false innuendo and rumor devoid of fact.

Abuse of the Freedom to Peaceably Assemble

Image2.article.8.25.2018This freedom is the keystone of the ability to protest against or show support for causes in a public forum. Peaceful assemblies of even large groups of people cannot be prohibited within certain limitations for public safety and venue capacity.

Leftist abuse of this freedom has been increasing since the middle of the Obama administration with the violent protests of groups such as Black Lives Matter. There were pertinent examples of abusing lawful assembly such as one from April of 2015 where protesters blocked an interstate in the San Francisco area.

Officers detained six people here. Authorities tell KTVU all six were taken to the city jail and booked for unlawful assembly and being a public nuisance.

However, some of the most egregious abuses of the freedom to assemble were carried out during the presidential campaign at rallies for candidate Donald Trump. These involve the inciting of violence by Clinton and DNC supporters planted at the rallies.

The following video contains graphic language. It is raw footage and viewer discretion is strongly advised.

This kind of conduct is a deliberate abuse of the right to assemble peacefully at a public event. It is also abusing the freedom of speech in order to disrupt those who are exercising their freedom to assemble.

It is abuse solely for political gain, and it should be unacceptable as well as prosecutable. As of this writing, the leader of these efforts, Bob Creamer, has stepped down from his position, but there have been no attempts at prosecution.

Moreover, the Wisconsin Attorney General has refused to even investigate the organization, Democracy Partners, which Creamer led. Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe responded to this non-action by the AG.

Project Veritas Action has released a written and video response to Wisconsin Attorney General Schimel’s memorandum regarding Project Veritas Action’s Democracy Partners video investigation. …However, according to Schimel, “Based on all the available facts I do not believe there is any basis to conclude that the videos demonstrate or suggest violations of Wisconsin criminal laws.” Project Veritas Action and its legal team strongly disagree.

Unhindered Abuse Will Result in Loss of Freedom

The U.S. Constitution delineates our various individual rights on paper. Those rights are built on the foundation laid out in the Declaration of Independence.

Image3.8.25.2018.articleThe Declaration itself clarifies a very important point. Individual rights are not granted by the government. They are given inherently by God to human beings.

When any part of these constitutional rights is abused, the entire structure of the document is threatened.  It is impossible to violate just one portion of the Constitution without bringing down all of it.

In practical terms, if such leftist abuse of the First Amendment is unchallenged and unhindered the entire gambit of liberty enjoyed by Americans is at risk. The process is already beginning impelled by the Democratic socialist machine, funded by leftist operatives such as George Soros.

The United States Constitution is a testimony to human freedom on earth. It is also a plea for the people of the nation to value our freedom as a precious gift from God.

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.  Galatians 5:1

If freedom is properly valued then its beneficiaries will ‘stand firm’ in that freedom. That is true for the liberty of a nation, and the freedom of the soul.

Trash to Treasure

Garbage-min

Garbage. One simple, nasty word that can be applied to so many things these days. The inescapable epidemic of violence, American politics, the web of lies that both the pharmaceutical and advertising industries weave, or the nutrient lacking mountain of chemicals we refer to as our food supply. All garbage.

“Poverty is the worst form of violence.” Mahatma Gandhi

One of the views from my Toronto high rise displays the lack of balance in our world. Day after day those that have nothing search through the garbage of those that have too much. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, literally. Poverty or suffering without one’s basic human needs being met is a timeless, universal problem. One that we have obviously no interest in solving.

Where is the balance?

Maybe it’s trapped at the bottom of that stuffed to capacity garbage bin. Under the old stuff I got rid of because I bought some new stuff, or the extra stuff I had for a while that I wasn’t using and the stuff I bought on sale even though I already had the same stuff at home…Balance.

Most of us can’t even wrap our heads around any reality that is too far removed from our perfect, disconnected, selfish lives. Isn’t posting something on social media proactive? Screw social media and the little cocoons we build around ourselves while we stare at the flickering blue screens on our cell phones.

I dare you just for a moment, to truthfully imagine this:

Once upon a time,

You own and have absolutely nothing. Everything you eat is either a hand out, or comes from what you can find in someone else’s trashYou have nowhere to sleep tonight and every other night…The End

Michel Montecrossa’s Song ‘Die Schönen Bilder, Die Im Herzen Wohnen – The Beautiful Visions Living In The Heart’ apropos mass killing

Die Schönen Bilder, Die Im Herzen Wohnen – The Beautiful Visions Living In The Heart

With his New-Topical-Song ‘Die Schönen Bilder, Die Im Herzen Wohnen – The Beautiful Visions Living In The Heart’ Michel Montecrossa gives a true answer to the question of violence and mass killing as it happened in Texas at the Sutherland Springs church shooting.

Michel Montecrossa says about his New-Topical-Song ’Die Schönen Bilder, Die Im Herzen Wohnen – The Beautiful Visions Living In The Heart’:
“‘The Beautiful Visions Living In The Heart’ is a song I wrote about the ‘love from heaven born’ which alone can save us from becoming killers and evil-doers. I dedicate this song to all victims of the Sutherland Springs church shooting in Texas.”

Song Lyrics
The beautiful visions living in the heart, / the visions of love from heaven born, / coming from the place free of pain and sorrow: / I show them all to you for your tomorrow.
Die Bilder werden zu Gedanken, die leuchten, / Gedanken über uns und was wir werden können. / Wie Sterne sind wir dann hell in der Nacht, / strahlend für alle mit Liebesmacht.
Visions becoming thoughts of light / about us and what we can become. / Like stars are we then bright in the night: / shining for all with loving might.
Durch das Leben eilen wir wie Kinder / und werden für immer Kinder sein: / in der Liebe geeint, auf die Freude vertrauend, / aus der glücklichen Träne das Lachen zaubernd.
Like children we hurry through life / and forever like children will fly: / in love united, trusting in hope, / setting free the happy tear of laughing.
Die schönen Bilder, die im Herzen wohnen, / die Bilder der Liebe himmelgeboren, / kommend von dem Ort ohne Kummer und Sorgen: / Ich zeig sie dir alle für dich und deinen Morgen.
The beautiful visions living in the heart, / the visions of love from heaven born, / coming from the place free of pain and sorrow: / I show them all to you for your tomorrow.
