Why I lost the game

I lost the game;
I lost the championship;
Why did I lose?
I had wanted to win;
And really hoped to win;
But it slipped through my fingers;
To my greatest dismay;
However, I learned a lesson;
An unforgettable lesson;
I understood why I lost;
And what I must do
To win in future;
This is a good lesson for me
And for you;
What I must do to win,
Is what you must do to win;
And it is simple;
Believe you will win;
Be determined to win;
Stay focused on winning;
Do your best to win;
And keep on going
Till you pluck the victory
That you want.

How do you win

How do you win?
Don’t get defeated by eyes;
The look of things
Doesn’t say it all;
It tells the story
Only in part;
If you want the full story,
You have to look beyond
The surface;
Dip your hand deeper,
To bring out what’s inside;
That’s how you win;
And if it’s the kind of fish
You don’t like,
Throw it back into the river.
And dig deeper;
And keep on digging
Until you get the right catch.
If you need to be told
A million times
That you will never win
By giving up,
I will do it;
You win by making sure
You stay on till you win.

Lose and win

If your empire crumbles,
And you are still alive
And strong,
You have to start anew,
To build another one;
Hence, one empire lost
Another one begun;
Such is life:
Winning and losing;
Losing and winning;
No one stays the same
Forever;
We go up,
We come down;
We may be down today
And up tomorrow.
Or up today,
And down tomorrow.
Trust in the Lord Almighty!
Yours will be final victory.

I lost only a battle (Be inspired today 299 by Ngobesing Suh Romanus)

Who said I lost the war?
How could I have lost
The war?
The war is still raging on;
I lost a battle
And not the war;
I am sure to win the war;
They never lose
Who believe they will win;
I believe in victory;
I know victory is mine;
Am I not a winner?
I was born to win;
And I have won many times;
I will continue to win.
That is why
Although I lost the battle,
I will win the war.
Win your battle;
Let me win my war.
